25 ஆண்டுகாலமாக மேடையில் பணியாற்றும் எங்கள் யுனைடெட் விஷுவல்ஸ் குழுவினருக்கு சோ சார் எழுதி இயக்கிய "என்று தணியும் இந்த சுதந்திர தாகம்" நாடகத்தை அவருடைய அனுமதியோடு அரங்கேற்றி, சோ அவர்களே அமர்ந்து பார்த்து ரசித்து பாராட்டிய நிகழ்வு,நாடகமேடையை ஒரு தவமாக நினைத்து வாழும் எங்களுக்குக் கிடைத்த மிகப்பெரிய வரம்.
என்று தணியும் சுதந்திர தாகம் நாடகம் எங்கள் குழுவால் இதுவரை 99 முறை மேடையேற்றப்படிருக்கிறது. அவரது நினைவுதினாமான இன்று, 100 வது காட்சியை மேடையேற்றி, அந்த நாடகத்தின் DVD வெளியிடவேண்டும் என்று ஏற்பாடு செய்துவைத்திருந்தோம். கொரோனாவால் கனவாகிய மிகப்பெரிய ஆசை இதுவே. அந்த நாடகத்திலிருந்து அதிகம் பேசப்பட்ட காட்சிகளின் சில பகுதிகளை உங்களுக்காக இணைத்திருக்கிறே...

Thank you for uploading this video. Tears come to my eyes because I am reminded of the first time Cho presented this amazing drama in Bombay on 1971. Endru thaniyam was a super hit and the crowds went crazy looking at some of the greatest performances on stage by our friends in Viveka Fine Arts troupe. Cho became a super star and a house hold name after this play. I still chuckle when I think of Neelu with his roaring voice.Many of our friends like Cho, Ambi, Neelu are no more. I request you to upload more videos of this amazing artist named Cho Ramaswamy. He was also my personal friend since my college days more than 4 decades ago. God bless you Varadharajan.

There is a Tamil proverb "Kazuthaikku theriyumo karpura vasanai" meaning " An ass can't appreciate the scent of camphor.' How appropriate is this proverb for Kamalhassan. Another appropriate English proverb is "Dont throw pearls before the swine." ( a pig doesn't know the value of pearls). The incomparable K. Balachandar who produced such classical gems like Sindu Bairvi and Sahana, will be turning in his grave for 'finding' this actor as will Balamurali Krishna who taught him carnatic music.
