Good ride! ✌😎
Time to clean up yer shorts!
Don't let Mario anywhere near the 10mm sockets
lol
Sounds really Peppy!!
So much better!
And you gave me a shoutout!?!? Thank you so much! With the 70mm BBK and the 36/31 head with a 18t front/46t rear I top out 5th gear at 88mph. Still had power but ran out of gearing. Now I’m going to be installing a 78mm BBK and a 39/34 head.
Definitely Steel and not Iron!🤣 I just happened to of read your description lol. Woah!! You shared my video? Thank you so much!! If you put an @ in front of my name then it’ll tag me so I get a notification. If you put #xr150l in the description you’ll reach more xr150l owners.
I had a brainfart, I'm excited to see what the 78mm kit does. Thanx for the tips, I'll see if I can add those without erasing everything...lol
@@TinShackVideos I’m excited too. Have to have some machine work done. I go to manage videos/edit video/then just add it in the description, then you should be able to save.
I changed it....lol
@@TinShackVideosthanks again!!
Awesome Ride Man How I wish we have these type of backroads here in the Philippines.
Thank you Bossrogulz.. I've seen a few off road bike tours in that area that looked pretty good.
The best oil to use in a bike, really, is Rotella. If you ride in the winter, use the 5-40. If you ride in anything outside of really cold weather, use the 15-40. Less shear resistant and it also has a lot of detergents and ZDDP. It's good oil that's cheap. Gabe from TTM really abuses his and he hasn't said anything about clutch issues. Also the basket shouldn't be moving like that. I think either the damper springs or rubber bushings might be bad from the heat. I'd look into that.
The clutch went because I tried to climb a long steep loose hill and spun and slipped the clutch for over a minute-lol That was my fault. I'll have to recheck the basket, thanx for the tips!
Where was this SO I CAN STAY AWAY ! nasty shit is right!
lol dinner train
Thanks for showing how to do this. How much did it cost? Was it a special order?
The clutch is for a CRF150r, they are interchangeable. I paid $113 because it was the only one that said it had 10% stiffer springs, but I see them as low as $63 (with no mention of being stronger than stock) It is Wiseco brand. Thanx for viewing!
@@TinShackVideos okay; awesome!! The only other one I know of is the BRT Racing clutch springs but I never paid attention to the weight.
Thank you for subscribing!!
Rice! I came by your house yesterday and today, but you were out riding!🤘😎 I’m guessing that’s up Bradley somewhere… Sweetbriar... ?? I’ve gotta swap on my knobbies one of these days! That WAS close! That front front fender, though…!😂
Wrong direction, yeah I don't think those supermoto tires would have been happy....lol Funny thing, it's not the fender?????
How's that clutch!
It feels great, between that and a 2 size bigger main jet the stutter at wfo is almost gone.
Beautiful! Looks like part of the ride went through a burn scar?
Yep, that and Human scars.
Success!!! Very easy to understand clutch tutorial.
Can't wait for September!
@@TinShackVideos Heck yeah!
Glad I got to see how the ride finished up... sorry I had to bail
Ah shit,it happens ,there will be plenty more. Especially when the weather gets better!
What big bore kit did you do ? And did you change that valve head ? Did it make top speed higher or just low torque?
I wanted scooterswap's kit but they were sold out, so I found the same kit they were selling (233 70mm DVNOP company on ebay) Kept the same head and carb, little to no difference in mph but it gets up to speed quicker. ...and pulls without bogging in shorter gears(that make sense? lol) I also changed front sprocket from 16 to 15t.
@@TinShackVideos I think the heads intake port is the most important mod the bike can get. No big bore will work without doing it. Sure it increased torque but you lose out on everything else if it can't breath.
@@AliasTekTV Thanx Alias, that is in the future upgrades, I am planning on a 26mm or 28mm carb then porting intake.
Where’s Mike???
I tried to get behind him...lol
I saw him at the very end! 😂
I rode drag eating dust, fun ride!
The Shack, is back!✌😎
...back down for awhile, clutch is completely smoked.
Northern Riders in the Philippines did a video of a 21/18 rim swap. It looks pretty good. Gotta help with ground clearance ...
So much easier getting over obstacles now.
What a beautiful place to ride! That bike was sold for more than a decade here in Argentina and other countries from South America. And those little engines are virtually indestructible. Cant wait to see more videos with the XR on those incredible roads. Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you Poorfreelancer, it is the start of camping season, so more vids on the way. Argentina looks pretty darn nice too!
I was nervous about that first drop into the creek, but I’ll head back up soon. I want to be able to back road to McCloud or snowmans hill. Good little ride Rice! :)
what bar setup are you running, and where could i find those risers. Thanks.
I bought as a set,it was less expensive than buying separate. www.ebay.com/itm/296478819785?itmmeta=01J0HW8HY884HVCZV2TKHWZCXX&hash=item450783c5c9:g:EAgAAOSwf9RlSRjn&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4LoveQ%2FePs7nfooqyFVKfq6XjRDVxRpYs4kh%2FsTkDQmpQLtNx0PDwjOrfbwHinW6NNAUYlRwZTUBzIvp1fshIQs1z4Ewa%2FT0lvcK8dBD6Zxy3Z8ZSZ9wACcLKIvla9yPtUHyeX64CEBCajuJTAJps8rcSjdZYFigsRF0FFwL3a1hauGENRoEfdHwgR0TvZSuqvW45gdrFClZH%2Bu4awerMM%2FTETj33ab6kNmgPiFoUIke5ziDDTCNUA%2FPPDSwmpQ2oYh6g25p1kdPRJGAn5OKpYyRcEgPzfZaSTRSdCFrDnyQ%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR6yforyEZA
Nice video
I have had more fun on smaller bikes than I have with big bikes.
40 years ago "woods" riding (and racing) was ruled by 200cc bikes. Anything bigger was just extra weight.
Agreed, I was on an IT 175 40 years ago.
Wow you did so good you were really working the bike to its full potential
Thanx man yeah I was floggin' it...lol
'Murica!
my dude, im going to have to come down and ride some weekend
That would be fun!
Great video
TY Weslee
Video came out really clear. You guys were moving fast!
The little bike was screamin' trying to keep up with 525KTM's....lol
Rice sends it! 2:54 Nice dodge! 6:00 Nice track! Where is this at?
Nice.. took the Silverwing up there a couple of weeks back and wore myself out trying to steer it… will go back with the TW and try it again! Thanks SR!
Nice, yeah it's prolly getting real dusty by now.
Interesting approach to trail tree trimming - using your clutch instead of a chain saw! 😊
LOL...chainsaw is way too easy.
Nice turnaround!
So this is why Mike is obsessed with getting a motorcycle! 😂
What state and area is this in? It looks awesome! Thanks for the video.
TY Zack, it's Northern California.
Nice video, where is this?
Northern California
Im with you on the fishing. Got to crowded for me everywhere. Pass another fisherman and can't help but notice they're sporting all the latest equipment and it's probably worth more than me. If i fish now I use a cane pole from the riverbank.
I've had mine for three weeks. It 4100 otd. I was aggravated there was such a mark up
Yeah, me too. I bit the bullet and I'm not disappointed with it. Thinkin' about going for the 222 (70mm) kit to get 4 more horse, at 90 bucks why not...lol
Is that a 21" front wheel?
Yep, I laced on a used Takasago and now the speedo and odometer are right on.
Why not just start with a real motorcycle?
It's the challenge
The 150 looks like it does ok what's the other bike
Yeah if you can keep the R's up it does alright. Other bike is a 2015(?) DR400.
Cool looking trails 😎
Can a person own one of these for under 3k? or are dealers marking them up?
Depends on what state you're in, I've seen everywhere from 3400 to 5200. Best price would be used FB marketplace or an XR150l forum on FB.
I think they are 3000 in Illinois. It’s a cheap little bike, not much to it. 1970’s technology.
@@jhackett9482 That's a good price.
Got one this week for MSRP but with taxes and fees it came to 3800 in WV. Worth every penny
@@mnnicholas304 They are so much fun! I paid 4300 , I'm in far Northern California.
Good vid. All stock ?
Thanx man, I rejetted carb 108/35 and turned the air/fuel screw out a 1/2 turn to richen it up. by doing this it pretty much got rid of the pinging at higher revs.
Nice looks like you've got some elevation there too
Thanx, yeah I'm between 4000' and 4600'
Hi there Tin Shack Videos - What are u showing here? rgds, AstroMike
The tool holder I fabricated to replace the pathetic stock one. ...and it looks like a second exhaust pipe....lol
Good Job. Looks good & has lots of room. Tnx
WFO!!
pretty much...lol
Nice ride!
The small stuff, they throw in slash-heaps and chip it.
