TheCompulsiveCollector
Добавлен 15 авг 2022
I'm a compulsive collector of nearly anything that captures my interest. Currently it is comic books and motorcycles (mostly vintage Hondas). I am interested in traveling to see what other people get excited about and compulsively collect. Send me a line! I'll come visit! I'd like to take a moment to differentiate myself from a hoarder. A collector is a person who is focused on a specific thing that they have to acquire. In my case its comics, bikes, cars, coins, bayonets, model cars, antique books, antique repair manuals (ephemera), and other stuff yet to be determined.

Added AC, power steering, cruise control, washer bottle and stock airbox to the '94. Also, not mentioned in the video, added the stock 94-95 GSR wheels (aka Fat Fives/hammerheads). Thumbnail photo shows the engine bay in the condition it was when I received the car

Installed a Mikuni TM40-6 (flat slide pumper carb). That was a difficult install. I plan to ride it at Bikes On the Bricks next weekend.
What was the symptom you were striving to repair? The wire did not appear damaged in the video? By chance, was it severe corrosion in the cable?
You sound just like Robert Downey Jr. ! Nice vid!
My first bike was a 1982 Honda Nighthawk 450cc, ? burgundy metallic? The bike that brought me into a lifetime of motorcycling! There's 1 in the same color for sale at Moto Rado in Lakewood CO.
Watch the Kiwi Indian video. All will be revealed !
How long did it take you to replace it and where did you buy your new harness from?
Very helpful video I used the part you used and it works perfect
What was the difficulty in the Mikuni install? My stock one needs rejetted after rust got in but I'm thinking of replacing it with the Mikuni. Thanks!
It was a lot of fun designing the flange for the cruise control module! Thanks for the experience!
Nice job!
Giant jig saw puzzle?! Looks like theres a lot to sort through!
Your stash of old Hondas reminds me of my stash of model airplane kits, I won't live long enough to build half of them. I had a 65 305 Superhawk. Pistons wore quickly , vibration put my rump to sleep. Have a 68 Trail 90, has shifting problem, may require splitting cases, shifter forks.
You need a parts list with exploded views plus and overhaul manual and an operators handbook.
The clutch pedal assembly is supposed to turn stiffly and hold clutch disengaged, not a "suicide clutch" action.
You need the official parts list and overhaul manual. Also owner's operating and maintenance manual. There are a lot of You Tube videos about critical overhaul processes, tolerances, etc. You may want to pay experts to do certain parts of engine, primary, and transmission, rear hub and sprocket assembly, girder fork, etc. I still own my second '48 Chief and wouldn't attempt to do drive train and forks, rear suspension myself. Kiwi Indian has some informative videos. You may want to buy documentation, parts, supplies and services from Kiwi and Jerry Greer. I also recommend John Bivens for expert engine, etc. work. I will be watching your progress and good luck to you.
Weocome to the Indian family , I am also rebuilding a 48 Chief - its a hard slog chasing parts when you live in Scotland but I am getting there ! Subscibed !!
Nice to see people caring to restore Integras back to stock. I happen to own a Milano red (not pink) 1994 GSR. I bought mine new in 94, it now has 91,000 kilometers. The car is stock except for an aftermarket exhaust which I do not like (too loud). I am looking for an exhaust that is closer to the original one.
All stock, that's great! Agreed that aftermarket exhausts are generally too loud
Nice job

Nice! I hope to see more!
Manufactures were routinely hitting 100 mph in the 1920s on the board tracks. Love seeing your bikes , Thanks for sharing
i am also bringing a GSR back to life. mine is a 99' White. shes a lil beat up but will prob be a track car. Hope to see some nice progress man!
Dude, this is your best video yet!
Tell us more about that shifty 50!
I didn’t splice anything. The positive battery terminal wire is combined with the engine wiring harness. The battery terminal was failing but the engine harness part was fine, so i separated the battery terminal wire from the engine harness wiring and replaced the terminal wire with a new one
So you spliced all the other - original - wires and connectors from the old harness to the incomplete new harness?? What's the point? Aren't the other wires not supplied with the a/m harness compromised too?
Link for the parts?
I bought mine on Rockauto
If it it makes you happy and the bills are always paid no real problem exists.
