The reason that it was never released to video is that the director (a first-timer who was originally a fashion photographer) decided that it was SO awful that he refuse to do so! I actually have the vinyl of the soundtrack, which my brother gave me. That's it's here is some form is amazing.

This is the actually speed version of the music. As per the new video on Tefifon by techmoan the plastic got shrunk with the passage of time hence the speed up version on that particular cartridge. But never the less that version became popular on RUclips. A fan and an admirer from Pakistan.

Steve Perry/Journey need to remake/remaster this movie and soundtrack. This is an awesome movie. Creative, artistic, mystic, good directing and cinematography. Great storyline

I've been wanting to see this film since discovering this album at a record store in Bellingham in 1990. I had never heard of this album before coming across it, imagine life before the internet - never discovering things until they crossed your physical path. Yes this time existed haha. What sucked about the cassette release was that it had absolutely no information about it inside - cassettes had no liner notes! What a tragic tease it was. Had to find info about it at some unknown point in the future. Surfing, asking, searching. My search for this ended in Japan ten plus years ago when I was told categorically that Kenzo buried it, it never saw commercial release on any format and at most was played on tv there a handful of times. I gave up looking for it. While the film concept is coherent across the upload, I can see why Kenzo divorced himself from this work. As a world famous designer, this film as a cinematic work is amateurish and no doubt French audiences would have laughed at it, they understand the components of what makes good cinema. The unimaginative cinematography and boring, repetitive use of the same camera angles ad nauseum, the weak script, the wider failure to bring the location into playing a greater role within the story, I can see why Kenzo chose to bury it. As someone else has said, I would agree the concept would have worked alot better in an anime format. Live action, it's a fail. I was struck by the continual use of snow theme, it really is a beautiful composition, no doubt as it is brought back 4 or 5 times over the course of what's here. Hurray for Ross! Thank you to the person who let this see the light of day for all us true Journey anoraks. Now I need someone to leak that journey home movie Ross apparently did- the green avocado revue or some such title as appeared in a circus article around 1980 I think. Any takers?!?? Haha

The clock bonging can actually still be heard on the DVD release, if you can adjust the audio mode settings on your player (not the disc), however, it's quite faint. It can be heard much more clearly on the French language audio track though, and it's actually quite an interesting mix to hear it in addition to the continuation of Joe Raposo's scoring.

Wow, impressive curation here -- every Journey freak worth their salt has been curious about this for decades.

We see Bernadette a happily married girl at the end. And then not even a minute passes and she's a grieving old widow. That's a really weird way to end this movie.

I'm surprised that this adapts scenes not in the other adaptations like there being multiple squids, the spider crab attack, Atlantis, and the iceberg scene.
