Duluth Motherpuckers
The Duluth Motherpuckers are a group of hockey moms and women in Duluth, Minnesota with just the right amount of edge. They flood the rinks, maintain the warming house, drink beer in the zamboni shack, and when all the kids have been tucked into bed, they strap on the pads themselves.
"I'm not a book club person," says Liesa Klyn, a founding member of the Duluth Motherpuckers.
Klyn and a small group of women formed the group in 2022 with the goal of increasing access to the sport for "women of a certain age." What began with a simple Facebook post has grown into a group of over 50 women.

Testing my new (to me) Varicam LT. Didn't get it for high speed shooting but couldn't resist testing it, and am sure pleased with the results. The image coming from the Varicam is so pleasing ... color, texture, dynamic range. Very excited to share more work with this rig.

    No judge here in Ontario does anything to help with mental health anymore! No hospital will commit the worst case of mental illness, I am living this right now! Southlake hospital in Newmarket is absolutely disgusting and provides no help for this as well as Sudbury Hospital. Just read the other comments here as I believe the psychiatrist should be charged with murder

    Hey, y’all!! Awesome video and trip!! Fellow northern mn fly fisherman here. Not seeking or needing any location info or tips, just curious as to what the flows were/are at when u run this section of river? We do a lot of river float fishing trips like this in the driftless and over on the Wisco brule, but never in my wildest dreams did I think this was a reality along the north shore until my brother showed me this video and I was beyond stoked!! Would it be doable in a canoe and/or kayaks? I’ve been packrafting before, just don’t own one myself (yet). I also know how variable the north shore streams are and how treacherous they can be - making portaging heavy boats tough. Did y’all just show up and send it or did you get some much needed advice from local sources in grand marais? Nonetheless, freaking awesome!!

    I also work in mental healthcare, and six months ago i started going on longer rides up here in northern Norway on my gravel bike. Longest ride in the summer was 147 km Through some of the most beautiful farmland id ever seen. It was always right in my vicinity, but id never had a reason to travel there by car. After that long ride, i felt privileged to be alive.

    My dad took me to the Brule River and a creek up there years ago. I got my first brook trout up there on old flies. One, a parachute fly with a tiny slice of cork on the post and a Herters balloon streamer, on a 5’3” Fenwick glass 5 weight. I still remember it like it was yesterday! Great video thanks for sharing!

    How necessary are the rafts? Do You guys bushwhack your way up stream, set up camp and blow the rafts up and just float down to a spot each day?

    • @blueforestfilms
      @blueforestfilms Год назад

      They aren't necessary but sure make life easier. Being able to float a significant stretch of river is a bit easier than popping in here and there through the bush.

    • @blueforestfilms
      @blueforestfilms Год назад

      What you want to do is establish a spot to put in and take out so you’re not paddling upstream, but rather floating downstream. Those rafts are nice because you can put your feet down in the middle and walk the raft downstream as you fish.

    This is a propaganda piece. The dsm 5 states that hypothyroidism has to be treated before a physiocratic diagnose is made because hypothyroidism mimics many mental illnesss including the negative symptoms of physophria A good friend of mine was arrested on a minor charge and thrown in this system Despite being previously diagnosed and positive tests results during his confinement the facility refused to treat it misdiagnosed him as schiozenphrinic. the combination of refusing to treat the hypothyroidism and continuing to treat rhim for the misdiagnosed physophrinia resulted in his death Look up physiatrist drugs contricated by secondary hypothyroidism I am convinsed the court and facility did this delibertly to prevent a lawsuit. Their actions exceeded malpractice and entered the realm of criminal negligence I know for certain it was hypothyroidism because I slipped him t3 his symptoms cleared up and they gave him a clear psych evanlaluatoin I have it in writing all signed off. If any parents have their kids in this system and think it will help get a mental health lawyer and take what the court tells you with a grain of salt. Their motives are not pure
