I did doordash/ubereats/grubhub and its pretty much all dried up for awhile now. Spark is actually doing pretty well for me. Way less miles than food delivery. The only fear is walmart replacing everyone with their own employed drivers. Getting $15-20 shopping orders is really common on Spark

I rarely post comments but your story is rather inspirational. I got laid off over a year ago and have been struggling to find a job. The thing is…I was so cheap throughout my life that when I was suddenly unemployed I wasn’t really worried about money, it’s was the insurance that was a concern. Now I just don’t care…I eat healthy and I’m not stressed. It’s been the best 14 months of my life! Definitely don’t want to go back to that environment so I plan to start my own little business. I don't know how much subscribing may help, but I did it anyway, but mostly because I DO like your content. I've been watching a few videos these days and I'm aware of why I'm subscribing. See... I'm a pilot, aircraft pilot (or used to be?), and in 2016 I was living with my fiancé (now wife) in a VERY small rented apartment, and the thing was that with the amount of flight time I had, I just could apply to a few airlines. I graduated from flight school with 220 hours, then I flew a little more, but no airline was hiring that time, so, keep this in mind: study aviation to become a commercial pilot is a very expensive career, so in order to make my dream profession come true, my family helped me a lot, my dad got a second job, my mom and my grandparents decided to move to small apartments, one for my mom and one for both of my grandparents, so they could sell our house. So, we were able to pay my studies, but with effort. And the majority of my classmates were wealthy people, so there was always this kind of ego floating in the air. "Smells Like Rich and Brats Student Pilots Spirit". Anyway, those in the same position as me, with few flight hours, just kept flying from their pockets (or dad's pocket) and going to parties and all that crap. I had to work in a bookshop as a seller, I had to deal with all kind of customers. Anyone that has worked in retail could agree that is not the best thing, but as a pilot, what else could I do? Is not a profession that could put me in any office, 9 to 5 job. So there I was, doing my 9:30 am to 7:00 pm shift, every single day, with just ONE day free, any day but weekend, so I had no choice but choose a day as long as it wasn't from Friday to Sunday. One time, I remember very well, this guy came to the bookstore and asked for aviation books, I told him we didn't have any kind of aviation books, BUT, I gave him the name and address of different flight schools and I even told him the name of the books that had the content he was looking for.. "¿How do you know all of this?" He asked. "Well... I'm actually a commercial pilot". "¿So, why are you working here selling books?". I looked at him and I wasn't sure of how I had to answer... "Because Life, sir. Life happens." It wasn't until April 2017 that I finally got my first aviation-related job in a Flight Club, not only as a Pilot, but I got to teach Aerodynamics, Physics, Weather Conditions and I was in charge of the Flight Simulator as an instructor. Then, just a year and a couple of months later, my grandfather died. I fell into a severe depression. So, when I had to go to the mandatory medical exam in order to keep my license active, I failed. I lost my license... and I haven't flown ever again since the end of 2018. So, one day, when I felt strong enough, I wrote a book. Then another one... then I already had eight books finished and a bunch of tales and short stories. I got published finally in January of 2022, so I guess now I'm a Writer... an Author. Life... life is the worst rollercoaster that exist, and you don't even get to decide when to step out.

All the while our govt is bringing in millions of illegals putting them up in hotels and giving them every advantage Something is very wrong in this country

I can sympathize with you. I was about to leave in my car too last year, but circumstances changed. One thing I that kept me thinking about is if I was able to actually sleep in the car. I have a light sleep. But I thank God for how thing took direction 🙏 I would love to have an only job as well and if I get that one day I would get I don't think I will continue having residency in the US where rents and mortgages are so expensive. Just go to a clothing department store and tape yourself trying night gowns. You will be able to pay your rent very quick.

Along with Uber eats you should try multiple apps like DoorDash roadie and Walmart spark maybe Grubhub also whatever your market has.
