5 copied/stolen Dbz songs from Kenji yamamoto (plagiarized Songs)
Просмотров 103 тыс.5 лет назад
Kenji yamamoto was the longtime composer of Dragonball Z,Kai he Plagiarized Dbz songs since the 90's the whole Kai series was from him when he got caught stealing Songs mostly from the United States he finnaly got fired in march 2011 by Toei Animation
Plagiarizing Avatar music for Kai was pretty crazy considering they both came out the same year
I wonder why they didnt revert to Faulconer OST when Yamamoto was fired during Kai. Also why is Faulconer's score dub so hard to find nowadays, was there copyright issues with him as well?
Definitely not lol I'm glad we got the Japanese scores this time around. And apparently something happened ages ago they don't use that music anymore
Lots of Japanese composers borrow from Western music. Yamamoto just got caught
What an idiot!,good they fired his ass!
the ebb and flow is like a direct upgrade to the source material (doesnt excuse the plagiarism but still)
He made budokai challengers better.
IDGAF i liked it
Toei should hire the guy who did the Dragon Ball Z Sagas soundtrack, to re-score Dragon Ball Z Kai.
To be fair, the Battle Point Unlimited song is the whole plagerism of Progapanda album songs. It is a mix of 3 songs.
Kenji Yamamoto: “When write a song that already exists” XD
Spark of Fighting also sounds like Tomorrow Never Knows by The Beatles in the beginning 6:59
So that’s what they really do . Reuse sounds . Now I think about it … Naruto’s nine tailed fox theme from the first episode was played in dbs (the base sound) and I recently recopped MK deception and ok the intro it has that same sound from the black cat anime where train is being trained by the guy that killed his parents
Don't actually care lol like his renditions bettet than the originals lmao
Kenji kondo do the same😅
Koji Kondo But yea
dud say whatever u want but challengers >>> hunting high and low, just sayin, dunno if he did copy but the ''copy'' is just way better imo
Ok dragon ball z kai came out before Avatar so basically avatar stole one song from Kenji Yamamoto because dragon ball z kai came out in march 2009 and avatar came out December 2009
It was in 2010 that the copy appeared. Just like he didn’t take long to copy Terminator 2’s theme a year after it came out back in 1992.
The song Murder Of Love: Propaganda is from the live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film..... By the way the plagiarize song is still in the Dragon Ball Kai Series or they have to redo it.
Wait what?
Okay, the Budokai Challenge Ost and the Stratovarius song are different, the rhythm is similar, but the lead guitar in Yamamoto's song is radically different, it's pretty much a different song.... can't say the same for the other Stratovarius song. lmao
He didn’t even try to change them 😂
After I listened to X-Men Legends' "Sentinel Labs (Action)" song, many of the comments were related to Kenji Yamamoto and when I get to Budokai 3's "Inside Buu", I really lost it when he stole the piano part from "Sentinel Labs (Action)" song.
Joder que buena banda stratovarius
The fact you wrote "Bodukai" three times instead of "Budokai"... Bro
Jeez relax, people made mistakes.
@@Jiterdomer I get that, but when you make videos the least you can do is proof read yourself at least once... Mandatory
@@Jiterdomer Relax? Its a pretty chill comment
Dayum, Kenji was onto Strato fucking varius, hell yeah!
There are so many songs plagiarized nowadays, and no one even says a word about it, this is bullshit, while poor kenji got sued because of this, just demonstrates how this society really failed in everything.
Shame.
Nope, many songs nowadays have similar rythms in just one part but have much other different stuff. Kenji got sued because he just took all this, so many similarities, nothing wrong with liking it, but he should have been honest and licensed the music, so he could make his versions legally
20 years.
mimimi
only the first one earns him a punch in the face, the others in this list are fine. sometimes musicians and those who deify the craft are so pissy when it comes to this stuff.
His OG DB soundtracks, his DB video game sound tracks and Kai soundtrack were all elite. Such a shame he was a thief.
So cool kkkkk
Hey can I copy your homework? Fine just don't make it obvious..
Yamcha: "I know it was stolen, but it was still good music." Bulma: "yeah, because it was written by more talented artists."
@teamfourstar
Krillin: “What about the dub score?”
"stolen from better artists"
@@cottony4drOh yeah, let's get into THAT flame war.
@@HeWhoSlayethCain FREEZA'S HERE!
He did change some of them quite a lot though, let's be fair
Yes inspiration not copy
Not enough
Dude got good taste and was quite competent at arranging music, shame that he didn't ask for permission (I think many of these bands would've been okay with being in a DBZ game, considering it was as popular as Pokemon back then).
I think that's the biggest problem. Didn't ask for permission.

As a music major, I think plagerism and copyright is kinda bs. Do you know how many jazz composers took tunes and forms and lines from each other? Not to mention how many hip-hop artists took stuff straight from the records of other artists and called it "sampling".
That part about hip-hop is crazy. They get the rights from the record label and incorporate the sampled portion as part of their song - whereas Yamamoto has ripped the songs & their melodies completely, without credit *or* compensation. It’s weird that you would take more issue with sampling than this lol.
There are times Yamamoto collaborated with two other artist to use their sample for his songs, one was YMO and I'm not sure who's the other Western band who collaborated with Yamamoto for Budokai games.
@@JiterdomerToto and Tower of Power. But actually the only guy from YMO who was a frequent collaborator of his was Hideki Matsutake.
Jesus these are blatant when you hear them side by side like this 😂
Dbkai songs* la única canción de Z aquí es el Tema de trunks
Soul with a capital s at a 0:47 minute mark sounds like bring the noise - anthrax ft public enemy
His best work was from far away in the DBZ series...sad that he went on plagiarizing other people's work for video games. In my opinion, he was so talented that he really didn't have a need for it...makes you wonder why he did it 🤔
Laziness
He changed it up more than pop artists who make way more money do, they literally copy and paste without a thought and no one cares because its pop and they're rich so they can afford lawyers. This guy was legendary for many childhoods and shaped many good music tastes.
Difference is those pop artists get permission and split a portion of the revenue with the original creator. This guy did neither.
He should have been honest and license the music from the original authors, so he would have been able to make his own versions with no problem
Hip Hop artists had plagiarized and stolen content from other IP for their album cover aside from songs such as Soulja Boy.
No no no, this can't be.
Simplesmente pegou as músicas já feitas, e fez algumas mudancas, nao chama eles desse jeito
yamamotom sounds like circus music
It’s only fair to point out that the US DBZ movies actually had the rights to use their licensed soundtracks, whereas that wasn’t the case for Battle Point Unlimited in Japanese Z nor many other soundtracks in Kai. And the US licensed soundtracks completely blow away the original and the plagiarized tracks. No wonder the Z movie scenes with the likes of Pantera or Disturbed have significantly higher view counts than any other Z movie clip. Plenty of other anime also derive several of their top soundtracks from US/EU bands/composers as well; *Death Note* Mello Theme B - Terminator theme L Theme A - Tubular Bells / Exorcist theme Death Note theme (not the opening) - Carl Orff’s O Fortuna, from Carmina Burana Light’s theme - When the Smoke is Going Down by Scorpions *Naruto* Orochimaru theme - Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor Sarutobi - Ozzy Osbourne’s Bark at the Moon The Road Continues - Ennio Morricone’s Ecstasy of Gold Rising Fighting Spirit - Iron Maiden’s Montsegur Need to be Strong - Metallica’s Enter Sandman (plus one riff from Wherever I May Roam) So much for US/EU music not going well with anime, lol.
Sólo entendí que tu papá te abandonó
The people doing replacement scores are nowhere near the same level of quality as those Western musicians you mentioned. Stop defending the indefensible.
Man that budokai 2 sound track
Holy shit that last one brought back memories 🤣
