I’m an amateur adventurer who rides bikes, snowboards and surfs for the love of the sport and outdoors. I want to break the idea that you need to be a professional, break the records or do the gnarliest stuff to call it an adventure. I'm not special, my adventures are not special but they're my adventures and that’s what makes them special for me. On this channel, I want to give a tribute to amateurs and hope to inspire you to explore the outdoors your way.

Arctic Post Road film documents the bikepacking adventure of Henna Palosaari and Sami Sauri above the Arctic circle. The Arctic Post Road bikepacking route follows the remnants of the old Copenhagen-Alta post road starting from the fells of Pallas-Ylläs national park in Finnish Lapland and runs through the Finnmark highlands all the way to Alta on the Arctic Ocean. The route crosses a wildernes...
Amazing video! I loved it very much. I was just some weeks ago with my Racing bike going from tromsö to Nordkapp on the road … 😣next time I will try your route!! One question: did you make the film by a drone or did you have a camera team with you? Stunning video technique!!👍👍
Bear tucker.
Which bikebags did you use for your skiboots?
I would not have the courage to do what these two adventurous women were able to accomplish - congratulations on a job well done!! What is most impressive is the fact each maintained such a positive outlook in the face of difficult conditions. I would be concerned about braking down . . . in the middle of nowhere.
Great job! My wife and I enjoyed watching and she is not a cyclist!
Ah thank you! Great to hear it 🌼
How did you attach your ski boots to the carbon fork?
I used this kinda cargo cage adapters from zefal to attach the cargo cages and then strap the snowboard boots on them :)
Can you make a video about your bike setup packing wise for an adventure like this?
I’ll try to get one done next winter :)
Love Georgia. Have run the trails there and stayed in random villages. So you hired a new pro photographer to join you locally? I’m not sure if you mentioned anything about them.
It is so beautiful! We had a filmer and photographer biking with us the whole trip, info about that can be found at the description and at the end of the film :)
Shoutout to the cameraman 🫡
Agree!
Fix your mtb skills maby? you can't even corner)
That would for sure help! But I’m still happy that being new to mountain biking and thus having still very limited skills didn’t stop me from doing this trip :)
Beautiful views and all trip😘
The views were amazing, thanks! 🙌🏼😊
Great film! I am considering doing the route in September on Gravel bike. What time of year did you go? And what was the overnight temperature like? I've also heard the bugs can be intense in summer, do you have experience with that?
Thanks! We did our trip mid August, in September there’s usually a lot less bugs already :) Overnight temperatures can vary a lot. We had at coldest maybe 8 degrees or so but September can sometimes have already cold nights closer to 0 degrees but sometimes it can still also be very warm so hard to say exactly 😅
Thank for the wilde life in the winter ❤❤❤❤
Thanks!!
Is beautiful the wilde life in bmt and you ❤❤❤❤
Thanks!!
Nice
Thanks!!
Салам из Кыргызтана ❤😊

must be weird to play adventure with the film crew around? very friendly & pleasent ladys 👌

@@hennapalosaari_ 😍
Awesome video. This video makes me want to bikepack from Kautokeino to Nordreisa over the mountain and down to the valley :)
You should! That area is stunning 😍😍
@@hennapalosaari_ Yes! I Will look at routes to ride with bikes there 😁
@@christoffergaup you can find plenty here www.bikeland.fi/en/arcticbycycle :)
@@hennapalosaari_ Thank you! Have you thought about making an equipment video for bikepacking with tips and tricks?
@@christoffergaup not yet but I will think about it :)
A little voice in me says that nature in these places is so fragile that it’s better not to go there with bikes…
that’s a good thing to keep in mind wherever travelling by bike but they do a lot of horseback riding on these trails as well so I think biking won’t do additional harm to the trails :)
Fantastic video, inspired to explore the region now. Ignore the haters.
Thanks so much 🙏🏼 and I highly recommend exploring the area, so stunning!
That was brilliant well done ladies!
Thanks!
What did you use for your map/ navigation?
We used Suunto Vertical watches for navigation and planned the routes with Komoot :)
Christ you two are moaning sods. I don’t think you’re cut out for cycling
Awesome video! Can anyone tell me what handlebar bag they use?
I had one from restrap and Sabine had one from syncros :)
CRAZY GRLS U MADE IT! FULL GAS! Hope to live such an experience like this 1 in future ❤
Haha thanks!! 🤟🏼🤟🏼
Hey Hanna. Do you have a gearlist somewhere? Looks amazing. was it not mosquito season? That high up they are normally mosquito warrior size :D
Bummer that this video doesn't actually show any biking, traveling, or adventuring. Bikepacking in Georgia, where the locals believe "a guest is a gift from god" and the food is the best in the world, not even one shot of khinkali, Khachapuri, or even the famous wine. I'm really supposed to believe that the truck pulled over to offer a ride, just as the film crew happened to be set up there? Just pretty but staged shots with a professional support crew, not to tell a story better, but for advertising purposes. Shame.
That's right... on electric motorcycles. Time degrades...
@@Pavloun funny that you think it would help anyone to carry an electric motorcycle up these passes..
yes you are right in a lot of ways. we had an timewindow of 9 days in total for the trip, and used 6 on the bike, aswell as 2 to get on and off the route. i would have loved to spend more time there to dive deeper into the culture and the prople. but in the end we simply did not have enough time to capture more than the stuff we've shown in the video. and the truck was honestly not staged and neither was there a "filmcrew". just two guys with heavy backpacks und regular bikes.. but i think it's always easier to judge from the outside ;)
As you said in Georgia locals believe ”a guest is a gift from god” and this is exactly what we got to experience with the truck stopping when we waved and offering us a ride, Georgians must be some of the friendliest people we’ve had pleasure to meet 🙌🏼 Sorry to hear that you got this impression from the film that was put together by our 4 person team consisting of two riders, one photographer and one filmer who all carried all their gear the whole way, except when the friendly Georgians offered us a ride 🙂 and I can promise that we consumed plentiful khinkalis and khachapuris!
WAW, that's something! THX
Thanks!
Maybye too much Scott product placement, I would like to see more action instead a statements, but it is a fantastic and beautiful story. Very inspiring. Thank a lot.
Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated! 🙌🏼
Great film 📽️ I'm glad Tusheti leaves the guests so impressed and happy 🎉 Greetings from georgia.
Thanks a lot! We definitely hope to come back to Georgia one day :)
ooohhh my goooodd!! Mayby some day I have opportunity go place like that!! Thanks for the video!!
Thanks!! Georgia is definitely a bucket list place 🙌🏼
We did the same backpacking route 2 years ago but from Omalo to Stepasminda. Think was easier that way haha
Local gave us a tip that it would be easier to do it this way, but I don’t know lot of climbing both ways 😅😅
Super awesome video, mountains look amazing! How do you find other rad women who want to go on crazy cool biking adventures?
Thanks so much 🙌🏼🙌🏼 it’s not always easy but Instagram has turned out to be a great way to find like-minded people 😊
Beautiful bikepacking video ⛺️🚴♀️🚵♀️❤️💪🏽👍👍👍⛰️🏔️⛰️
Thanks! 🙏🏼
If you come to Guilin to ride a bike, you will like it.
Need to check that out!
Why did you do all these travels ? What is your idea behind it ? Thanks for sharing, it's great ! I hope the best for you.
I love discovering new places by bike and sharing my experiences hoping that it will inspire someone to get outside and do something they didn’t think of they could!
Where's your water, girls? :) Bikes on the back - funny thing. :) Comedy hitchhiking. :)
There was plentiful rivers along the way so we only needed to carry a bottle or two of water at times :)
WOW! What a fantastic production! Bravo to director, producers, editors and of course the riders. We've been guiding mountain bikers for 30 years and this is one of the best features we've ever seen. Be sure to visit us here in Moab, UT if you ever come through. Would love to show you around!
Ah thank you so much, that’s great to hear 🙌🏼🙌🏼 oh I need to check that out and keep you in mind! Thanks!
Superbe!! 😂 really awesome to watch and so inspiring. Cheers
Haha thanks so much, nice to hear! 🙂🙂
Hey, actually this adventure is in Khevi (Juta part), Khevsureti (Roshka-Datvisjvari pass-Shatili-till Abano pass) and last one - Tusheti. Nice movie! 🎉
Thanks 🙏🏼 🙏🏼
