How long is your paddle?
@tylerpound2661 i have 2 depending on the situation. For regular fishing, i have a 260-270 bending branches angler classic for a shallow angle paddle stroke to sneak in quiet. For whitewater, i have a 250 aqua bound for a steep angle paddle stroke, giving maximum power and steering.
Seeing the dipsy divers and yellow birds on the rods brought back some memories. My dad had a Grady White boat growing up for Lake Michigan, but we would go to Lake Erie for a weak twice a year to load up on the walleye and perch. Thanks for bringing back some great memories.
@UncleDavidOutdoors that's awesome man! It sure is a great memory for me too
Thanks for the heads up. I've had my RVR since the first truck came in at the paddle shop I work at. Another thing to watch out for is the bolt at the hinge of the seat falling off. Longer bolts fixes that. Good stuff, keep it up!
@@UncleDavidOutdoors i had issues with every bolt on the seat. I put thread lock on all of them. That seems to be working
I will most def reference this video when installing one on mine!
@@tylerpound2661 something i forgot to mention in the video is to carry a small socket wrench on the yak so you can remove the prop if it gets jammed up with weeds.
Picking up my RVR on Saturday, I’ll make sure to save and like this video
@tylerpound2661 there are a couple minor things they did wrong, like the straps, but overall the rvr is a great kayak! I'm sure you'll love it
@@OnlyFins yeah I’ve noticed, but it seems like an amazing boat for many waters. I have seen some 3D print stuff for the anchor wizards because idk if I wanna raise the seat
@tylerpound2661 it really is a great boat. I chose not to raise the seat because i like hitting class 2 and 3 rapids, which requires the center of gravity to be as low as possible
Got on some fish!👍
Cool stuff buddy

@OfftheHookOutdoors99 thanks man! I need to get a mount for my livestream camera, then we can get rollin.

@BigBRebooted 🤣 you're welcome bud.
Most kayak owners: "man i really don't want to drill many holes in my boat'....this guy: "Hold my beer"
Lmao. Facts
@@OnlyFins i'm looking at this for myself when I get enough money. 6 foot 230 and want something I can stand on
@joshalmeida1821 I'm 6ft 3in and 240lbs. the outlaw is a great first kayak! It's extremely stand up stable. Comfy as a floating couch. But it also handles like a couch. It's best on calm flat water like a lake. It's not so great on creeks and rivers. It turns really slow, which makes avoiding hazards difficult. It is easily the best budget fishing kayak on the market.
Nice video brother!👍
Thanks man!
Great job bro
Thanks bud!
Awesome fishing with you again brother!
breakfast looked delicious! Great video and editing brother! whooty who...love it! Got some solid smallies and that Walleye your buddy caught was gorgeous! Nice event.
Thanks man! There were so many bass caught! Far more than i could put in the video. This event gets better every year! So does the food. Lol. Thank you again for watching and commenting!
Only watched the intro and already subscribed. That is some great camera work and editing.
Thank you!
It's comments like this that motivate me to keep going, and trying to do better. Thanks again, i do genuinely appreciate it.
So where's part 2 when you paddle back? ;-)
Looked like a fun event!
Hootie hoo! Looked like a fun event man.
It's the one event that i impatiently wait for all year long.
Dude that is awesome.. That should also work on the SS models as well. They have the same known problem! Thanks for sharing!
Yes it should. You're very welcome!
Good stuff!
Drilling into motorcycles got me at the end lol Good walk through video!
Thanks
Looks like an easy install. Definitely worth the investment👍
Yeah, the mechanical part of the install was very easy. Figuring out how to rig it to work best for me took some trial and error. But that's the fun part!
I get some serious "Big Lebowski" vibes here!! 😂 Great meeting ya over the weekend Mark!
Lol omg everybody keeps saying that. The dude abides. It was great meeting you as well, i look forward to the next time!

Great logo stuff - where do you get the sticky material to do the logo?
Thank you! They're vinyl stickers that were made with a cricut machine.
SWEET!!!
Nice job boys!
Oh hell yes!!!!! Thanks so much, guys!!!!!
What length paddle? My 250 seems a little short
I have a bending branches classic adjustable length from 255 to 270 so i can change paddle stroke from shallow angle on lakes, to steep angle on fast water. Excellent question! I always forget the paddle.
I just picked one of these up for my "fleet" and I'm excited to break it in next weekend. I'll be fishing fast moving water like the later part in your video that has some deep pools sprinkled in between. Have you checked our the hull after dragging rocks/bottom to see the damage? There will be carnage in my rivers here, but thats the price to pay to enjoy where not many people venture to.
My waters have a lot of sharp shale on bottom. That being said, i was pretty rough with the outlaw, and it only ever got the standard river rash. It held up really well. Make sure to plan your turns well ahead of when you actually need to turn. The outlaw turns real slow. Thank you for watching and commenting!
How do you like it so far?
Lol love it 😂
Nice video man, I was standing in that exact spot last year in June. Probably my favorite place in Pa
Thanks man! I really need to get back there. It is a nice spot. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank you for the review. I am a river guy and currently on my 2nd Jackson Coosa HD which I love. However, I recently purchased a Newport NK-180 and I really like how Bonafide has designed the RVR for motorization. I can make the motor work on the Coosa HD, but it will not be as clean compared to the RVR. How would you compare the two on maneuverability and stability? I would definitely miss the in hull storage of the Coosa HD.
I also have a coosa hd. Both are very similar, yet very different. The coosa looks better in my opinion. Here's how they compare. Primary stability: coosa slightly more Secondary stability: RVR much more Stand up stability: RVR allows much wider foot stance Maneuverability while empty: RVR noticeably more agile Maneuverability while carrying 450lbs: coosa noticeably better Seat comfort: coosa is a bit better Deck space: RVR much more open Storage space: coosa has full in-hull storage Rear tankwell: RVR much bigger. Rigability: RVR far superior Loading onto car roof: RVR has 2 keel skid plates, keeping it from tipping while loading. Class 2&3 rapids: both handled them fine, but the RVR won by a lot. I hope this was helpful. Thank you for watching and commenting!
@@OnlyFins Thank you for the feedback. I really appreciate it.
The aft anchor wizard is supposed to be mounted on the track. At least that is what is shown on Bonafide’s video. I added risers so it wouldn’t matter. Also the risers allow under seat storage and still use rod stagers.
Yes, that was their intention, but i didn't like the way it wobbled when winding in. I'm not motorizing the rvr, so i chose the plate instead. I just keep the seat trimmed to the back. It works fine for me. I routinely run class 2 and 3 rapids in the rvr, so i haven't bothered getting the risers. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Tupperware for men😃
Basically. But we deserve toys too. 🤣
Do you think seat risers would help the anchor wizard issue? I know that might reduce stability in rapids, but i rarely see rapids of any concern.
Yes, seat risers do solve the anchor wizard issue. As far as reducing stability, that's only going to matter in serious rapids like class 2+ or class 3. But you could just remove the risers during pre trip planning for that kind of fun. I don't have risers yet, but I've seen them. They're very easy to add or remove. Only takes a couple seconds.
Well done!
Thank you for watching and commenting!
