Thank you for this. I’m 68 and used to teach yoga. I used to practice this regularly. I really got into the wim hof breathing techniques with the breath holds almost exclusively the past 4 or so years, since Covid began, and I need to get back into the traditional pranayama practices I did years ago. The “both/and”. 👍🏼 It’s all good. Thanks again. 🙏🏼
Absolutely, I hear you! There are so many incredible breathing techniques to practice, and it's all about finding what works for us (and when we need what!) I will soon be posting more practices, including deeper conscious connected breathing journeys. Thanks so much for subscribing, happy to share this yogic path together! 🙏💕

Just trying to let the energy of life and musings flow thru - glad they are appreciated!! 😊😊
Perhaps it’s my hippie father coming out but I’m a firm believer if we all judged less and loved more the world would be a better place. ❤
Amen your father was wise
Hi Kristen - I've been going through somewhat of a rough patch in my life lately and since we all do in our lives was wondering if maybe you could share your take on the relationship between suffering, wisdom and compassion? I really value your perspective :)
Yesss I would love to share! Will make that video soon :) Thank you for the suggestion! @jaywiliams5835
Integration is key!
Literally everything

I always knew u were a seeker so amazing to see your spiritual journey... My mine more Buddhist but I am so grateful that you share your time. It is the greatest gist of all no?
Yesss the path of seeking never ends when we feel the quest in our heart, right! And, it always leads back home somehow :) I spent many years in Thailand but never formally studied Buddhism, it's been a beautiful energy to immerse in and my Vipassana is still waiting for me :) so good to reconnect with you!!
U r an inspiration in your quest. The search for wisdom is wisdom -Shunryu Suzuki

Aww, I'm excited you're going to share your classes online! I can't wait to try this "with you." <3
At first, I hated being in lockdown but over the weeks I'm actually starting to like it. There's so much beauty in being able to make our own schedule and do what we want when we want. I never realized how busy I was until I suddenly wasn't anymore.
amazing - what is the easiest way to begin the grounding process?
Interestingly enough, I find my creative process very structured and logic, although this might sound as a contraddiction. When I was younger, both as child and teenager, I had more of an instinctive and strike of inspiration based process, which however led to a lot of drafts and ideas and hardly any finished work. Later on, I began to spend a large amount of time and energy in planning ahead what I want to produce and avoid rushing into starting too many project until I am quite sure of the direction where I want to go. I let inspiration from outside and inside come in, I sort of store it in my head for a while, thinking about what I want to do with it, then let the creative process loose on a later time. I don't know whether this is more due to the nature of the creative work I normally invest my energies (novels, longer series of comics), the fact of having an acadamic formation or simply my very personality. Truth be told, even a single illustration or painting nowadays never start on a mere impulse, it always goes first multiple mental projections and drafts first. Probably the fact that I also moved from a more traditionally creative environment (writers, musicians, travellers) to a corporate world made of business processes, tools and Excel sheets did corroborate that tendendcy I originally had within. Yet, in spite of everything, the spark to create and trying to say something and share what are my thoughts and feeling to an artistic (but not only) medium is still there, maybe tamed but nonetheless full of energy.
Thanks for sharing, Kristen. I can definitely relate. I too have times when I feel out of sync and overwhelmed. What works for me is to step back, give myself some time and space, get back to basics, and focus on priorities and practices that help rebalance my body, mind, and spirit. Enjoy the yoga, your view looks awesome. I miss Chiang Mai.
yes yes yes! best practice ever (and possibly the hardest)!
Mail all your sketchbooks home! :-)
you're one of my fire starters, kristen! thanks for that! <3
