Off Grid Log Cabin Build- Can E-Bikes haul logs?
For two years now, I've been working towards building my own little log cabin. Every log I've moved to the storage site, I hauled using just rope, and a lever. That was fine when the logs I was harvesting were only a couple hundred meters in the bush, but these new trees are at least 1km away from the storage site. The lever made hauling heavy logs easy. But it was very slow. And the distance I needed them hauled was greater. I needed a better way to bring these logs to the site.

The e-bike used is the Wildeway FW11 4.0. I needed two 32ah batteries to make the trip. I was getting about 77-80km of range per charge with each battery. This trip was done over 3 days, 2 days of actual riding, and 1 day of exploring. I rode my bike for 4 hours and 30 minutes each way.

Over the past year, I've been harvesting and peeling logs for this project. I've come a long way since I started. I'm at a point now where construction can soon begin. I just needed an area to be cleared for the pre-assembly. Every log brought to the site was manually hauled, and harvested with an axe. It was hard but I got it done.

Thank you, while it can haul these logs pretty good on flat ground, I don't think the bike could get all this weight up a steep hill.
I'll try and do these videos every other week. Or like every two weeks.
That junkyard looks interesting. Is it still in business or is it closed down and everything left to rot and be overgrown with trees?
It's not a business, it was the old dump for the reserve. No more garbage is dumped there though. But they now put all the vehicle wrecks there.

Yeah, for the most part. Almost 80km of dirt road.

when the park was made a wilderness and the fly in stopped they burned the ranger cabins. the guy in charge said he did not want"wandering tourists"using them.i did not know any were left.
The ranger station still stands, along with the a larger building right beside it. I didn't show it in the video, but there is also two other cabins in the bush about 200ft away.

I used a kayak cart to move logs before. It wound up bending and breaking also.
