Best actor: Colman Domingo should win because I would love for him make history as the first black actor to win a critics choice award. But Ralph Fiennes will win. Supporting actress: Ariana Grande should win because she brought Galinda\Glinda to life with her performance. But Zoe Saldana will win because she won at the golden globes. Best original screenplay: Challengers should win because I think a story about tennis and a love triangle is a great concept. But Anora will win. Oh, so you said I’m Still Here couldn’t possibly beat Emilia Perez for International Film? Bold of you. Never doubt Brazil, my friend. No one even predicted I’m Still Here in the main category, and yet, here we are. Reminder: campaigning for a nomination is one thing, winning is another-and let’s not ignore how the hate for Emilia Perez keeps growing while the love for I’m Still Here is only getting stronger. Honestly? With international voters backing it, I’d say Brazil’s got this. 🇧🇷✨ (and yes, i'm brazilian, kkkkk).

I think the Challengers shut out was the biggest snub of them all. I think this was a weak year for top tier movies. I guess the after effects of the strike. So far of the 4 best movie nominees I have seen, nothing has really really stood out as a best picture. Guess it's time to go to the theater to see the "leading" nominees to change my mind.

Any chances for Wicked in picture or Grande/Erivo? Personally, out of the six best picture movies I have seen, it is my favorite.

I think A complete Unknown is in Editing cuz of the Sound and Editing correlations, if your a picture nominee, you usually get in editing (unless you have no chance of winning, which is why Wicked wouldn’t get in editing)

I really want Mikey Madison to win because the scenes that she had to do in that movie are insane. There’s like 8 different sex scenes in the movie and four of them but she’s not like she doesn’t have anything on

I only care about this awards season because Brady Corbet needs all the help he can get. Of the leading awards candidates Brutalist is the only truly smart and original film, and Corbet's other two features were also masterpieces but got no awards consideration. Unfortunately, the dreadful Emilia is gaining ground and Unknown may get a boost for actually making a bit of money. Haven't seen Unknown because biopics are generally crap and I couldn't care less about Dylan.

Last year, I was rooting for Lilly, but for some reason, the industry preferred Stone. I think Scorsese's films are very American, intellectual, and niche (like Kundun and Silence) rather than dealing with universal subjects or being crowd-pleasers. I think this is why he cant reach the right audience. He is truly a great director.

"Snub Inside Out 2 for the Snail one"? Memoir of a Snail is definitely one of the best animated films, it would be a crime to snub it!

Kneecap getting nominated for Casting would be really ridiculous, since the three main characters are playing themselves, so is the casting then just for Michael Fassbender and the rest of the supporting actors? But it somehow did win Casting at the British Independent Awards.

American Fiction won for its screenplay and had 4 more nominations, Jeffrey Right in lead, Sterling K. Brown in supporting, score, and Best Picture.

You are just hope-dicting The Substance, A Complete Unknown is going to get in the top five at BAFTA for Best Film. I honestly don't get why people are obsessed with this film when it's very overrated and heavy handed with body horror.

I'm not predicting it, but it would be wild for Denzel to finally get nominated for a BAFTA after not even showing up at SAG where he's been so beloved. 🙃
