@@hobby-cantina Feel free to try this with a rechargable 14500 lithium ion cell in place of the two aa batteries, should give it some more speed & torque while making it lighter. Was pretty popular to do with the Auldey race tin cars back about 10-ish years ago. Ofc you need to complete the connection on the other side with a single 14500 cell but just use a wire soldered in place or maybe something like a wood pencil cut to size & some aluminium foil. Maximum voltage the board takes is likely going to be 5 - 6v at best as well.

@ I haven’t got into crawlers yet, but I used to dabble with trains when I was younger with my grandfather. I’m currently masterminding (literally in my head) a indoor mini scale table circuit track for 1:76 scale cars. I have a temporary setup I’ve been posting about. But I d love to do something like what you’re doing for my mini scale rc vehicles.

@ That’s awesome! Honestly the whole reason I got into RC stuff was because of a train set that was in a restaurant when I was younger. I remember how real everything looked and the scale was perfect. You should totally make a table and build the best indoor crawler course you can think up! There is something about the crawlers that make me like them more than any other RC stuff. Let me know when you build it and post some videos and pictures. Yeah it’s a single speed transmission but you can switch from slow to faster in that range. Probably just said it wrong in the video. Thanks for watching!

Oh I have to fix that body rub thing going on too. I like the suspension a lot and it is surprisingly capable right out of the box! It’s the loudest I have of all the crawlers currently because of that rubbing.

@@hobby-cantina you can trim the body if you’re careful. I trimmed around the wheel wells with scissors. There’s lots of videos that demonstrate how to do this, then you can go lock to lock while suspension flexed with no noise

i put mud slingers on it. they are cheap and work really good on the base camp.

I'd advise in 1/10 scale try him on the redcat gen7 or everest 10 they are cheap reliable trucks in the scale world its what I started on years ago and you can still get them
