I have questions. Will you reply me here please
Diversity hire
What did you guys do for A levels cuz I’m probably getting a maths grade that’s not sufficient for me to do science a levels so will probs hav to do med w/ foundation year and will be doing BTEC Biomedical Science extended diploma Is this still good?
Hi ,Is it possible to apply foundation year of medicine and A100 medicine application together at the same entry year
Hey did you figure anything out regarding that ?
HOW AM I GONNA GET AAA
thank you so much for this video. im holding onto the idea of a foundation year just in case my grades are not the best right now in year 12. this was so informative and making me feel more motivated😭. but of course i will try and get the highest grades i can but will always keep my option open with things like a foundation year.
Thank you for this! Really appreciated! Could you make a list of all different universities different entry requirements so we know which universities are open to English as a subject etc easily in one document
Hey, i applied for the same course, medicine with foundation year at the university of nottingham this year, i got the interview, but unfortunately didnt got in. What do you think is the best thing for me to do now? I am currently in year 13 so what do you think is the best thing for me to do after A levels?
Hey if you don't mind me asking what did you end up doing x
Hey I changed my plan, I am currently doing Pharmacology xx
@@kaur1111 Ah right thanks for the reply wish you all the best
@@1256soph No worriesss, thank you so much, I wish you all the best aswell x
IS THE FOUNDATION YEAR SAME AS ALEVELS CHEM AND BIO
Do you think I could do a foundation year with a betc applied science and low gcse grades
can anyone please help me can a foundation year be done after as levels (year12) or only after a levels
what if you failed most of your gsces but have combines scince with a 6,5 and english at 4,4 and maths at 5,5 but you have alavel biology and chemitry at a star both also i did an engineering level 3 thats equivelent to 3 alevls with 3 distinction stars do you think i can still apply to medicine or no ive also done work experince in forign country and here in london please help
Hiya! hope you're doing well, For Nottingham when did you receive an interview invite? This video is an absolute life saver :)
HI There! My interview was in february from memory :)
What was you predicted grades when you applied ?
They were BBC I believe or BBB (my memory is quite terrible sorry ahaha)
Thankyou !@@medicallyamber
Hello I was wondering if I could get in a foundation course with AAB predicted
Those are quite high grades (congrats!) so i am unsure and it would depend on the univeristy. I reccomend that you speak with them directly :)
hi i’m doing the same course! i just wanted to ask how much contact time there is & roughly how many lectures & things u need to attend cause i wanted to balance a job alongside it??
Hi There! Hope all is going well with the course :) When i did it, it was COVID so only had monday as contact time and the rest of the week was online. I am unsure how it works now but it will be the least intense year of your degree 100%.
hi, as you did foundation year it must have been way more competitive than the 5 year course so was there something you did or recommend to stand out?
Hi There! In a sense it was. And in utter honesty I thought I completely flopped mine! I was all over the place and so apologetic but as long as you remain authentic and let your personality shine through you should be fine :)
Hey,I came through your video and found it really helpful but had a few questions in mind. What if you haven’t done GCSEs or Alevels in the Uk,so is it worth a shot to apply for medicine?Basically,I’m not a Uk permanent resident,I do hold a citizenship, but I had to move to my native country a few years back due to some personal reasons,so I’ve got my undergraduate degree from here,I was a little concerned about how things are gonna be for me as I’ve been a little unaware.Would mean alot if you can help me out somehow.
Hi There, so sorry for the late reply and i hope that everything is working out well for you. Every medical school has different requirements for their foundation years. My bets advice would be to contact the ones you are interested in and explain your situation for some clarity :)
Actually i am 17 year old and when i came uk i was 14 i didn't get admission 2 year i am just at hoem last year i call in every school again so they know she is 16 she shuld be in collage so i just take health and social care. Know after one year of social care i am doing work experience volunteering at hospital she tell me that you can do gcse privately. Your video really motivate me to take gcse. Please tell me which gcse subject needed for medical i mean must gcse for medical.
GCSE subjects i believe you would mainly need the sciences (biology, chemistry and physics) and the english language and maths for sure :)
Hii..i m applying for foundation year for medical but the college has said tht inorder to carry on studies after foundation year i hav to get minimum 70% so I just wanted to ask is it tough to get?
In my experience not at all! Keep up with the workload and ask questions, rely on your peers and you will be fine :)
Can I study the foundation year in a uni then transfer to another uni for the 5 year course?
I dont believe you can sorry!
Hi Amber, Just reviewing your site. How are you getting on with your studies. How many years do you have left?
Hiya! My studies are going well :) I am now im my 4th year of my degree and will graduate in medicine in 2026!
Heyyy Your video is great! Just a bit confused, do all universities require you to do UCAT for gate-way and do they have requirement they put out? Thank you xx
I think they do from my memory!
your video was so very helpful thank you! I'm an ib student applying to med school this year and this was so very useful also OUT OF TOPIC BUT UR LASHES ARE AMAZING OMG
Awh im glad the video helped you and thankyou :)

Hi lovely, I feel very disheartened and feel like I can’t do it. I don’t have A Levels. I would like to do an access course. Does anybody know if I can go to uni with level 2 functional skills in maths and English. And also what would I need to study in uni to become a doctor?
Im not sure on how to access medicine without A-Levels personally but my best advice would be to get in contact with univeristies and ask! Dont give up just yet :)
Hiii, so I'm doing btec level 3 applied science, after the 2 years, if I do a foundation course, can I go into medicine??
Succesful completion of the foundation course would lead to 5 year medicine yes :)
At gcse I got A*A*AAAABBB I’m predicted ABB And I’m eligible for foundation course which I have applied to this year My Ucat score was 2240 so pretty low would this low ucat drastically decrease my chances of getting a place ?
did u get in??
I hope you got in! For anyone else wondering, i think as long as its in the range they want, you should be fine!
Hey is this the same for dentistru
I am not too sure on dentistry, apologies!
Do foundation year courses have lower ucat requirement
I believe they do majority of the time!
I've just applied for the foundation year at nottingham and I was just wondering what your UCAT score was? Mine is 2570 and I'm not sure if that's high enough or if they expect lower for foundation year applicants.
Mine is in the description box with all the rest of my grades :)
@@medicallyamber hey! Ahaha crazy this was a year ago- I do the foundation year! But at another uni :)
hi, do you think i can get into a medical degree via a foundation course with alevel grades, CDD
Check the univerisy requirements and that should clarify :)
Hi I would like to do medicine with a foundation year but didn't get the grades I needed at GCSE to choose bio and chem!! I needed a 6-6 I got a 6-5. Can I do medicine with a foundation of I choose BTEC applied science, criminology or health and social and psychology.
Best to get in contact with the univeristy of your choice to find out!
I got ABB for Alevels, I can apply to foundation year right?
It depends on the univeristy as i believe those are classed as 'high grades'?
I’m not doing a level chemistry- would a foundation year be what I need to do?
It depends on the requirements that the univeristy has the foundation year. Each one is different!
Is it possible doing medicine with foundation course,?? Without A level??
You would have to speak to the univeristy directly about that.
Hi, can I ask if you just talked about medicine in your personal statement or you talked about the foundation year? Thanks!
I just spoke about medicine!
So after the first foundation year do you go into normal 5 year medicine automatically or??
Yes!
Hi this video was very insightful, Im currently in year 12 and have a few questions as Im interested in this course. Do you have to complete the foundation year successfully (like pass the exams) to be moved on to the 5 year course? Would you say it's easy/medium difficulty to complete it or is it quite hard? If you fail the foundation year exam do you get any resits? Do you have to apply via UCAS afterwards and redo the UCAT to progress to the 5 year course or do they automatically move you up? And finally do you think Im eligible to apply if Im ABB predicted or is that too high ( I meet most of the other requirements) Thanks for your time ☺️
So sorry for the delay! Yes you go straight into it upon completion. The course itself is medium difficulty (think a level biology & chemistry with a bit more jazz)
If you fail you can do resists! And for your grades I think you can get it if you satisfy the other entry requirements but for your grades I believe you can go straight in to the 5 year course :) best of luck!
Thanks for so much information...💯 I came from Pakistan and here I'm doing BTEC level 2 with English and Maths GCSE. Shall I progress onto A-levels or BTEC level 3. My college can offer me A-levels. I think A-levels are best because I want to get into medicine and good unis don't accept btec level 3 science. The other thing is that I don't have any GCSEs except my maths and English.... will this effect my uni admission? Alevels allows me to go to many carers but btec limits me
Hi there! I’d say try and get into a levels I’d you can as they are most widely accepted for unis :)
@@medicallyamber thanks for your advice but my college won't allow it now going for Btec level 3 sciences
Do you have to fit in the contextual offer criteria
Yes you do!
Thank you so so much. This was quite helpful. And I LOVE your editing style. Please post more!
I just came across this video and actually it is very interesting video. I am in year 12 and don't knoe what to choose from child nursing biomedical science and medicine. I am doing psychology , biology and health and social care and i was thinking of foundation year for medicine but i don't knoe which path to choose from those three😭
I’d say do medicine because it is a guaranteed job for life with this degree and there is such variability in what speciality you can pursue in the future :)
Wait are there any age requirements or can anyone take a foundation year?
That I’m not too sure about! So sorry :(
Could I do a foundation year in medicine with only a 5 in English language?
You would have to check the requirements on the official uni website!
How old are the ppl there
Usually 17-19 yrs old
Due to COVID-19 I’m struggling to find work Experience. Do you recommend any online work experience for medicine (I’ve only just turned 15 is it to early) Thank you your the best utuber ever
If you can do it online, then 100% do it!! Any work experience is valuable
What an exceptional video keep up the amazing work! I had one question: I have just started my GCSEs (year 10) and I picked triple science bc that’s what I love 💕 however I only just realised that this February I’m take a BTEC science exam but all my BTEC coursework that was completed in year 9 is bad will this affect anything or is my gcse triple science enough
Triple Science is definitely enough :)
Thank you! Amazing video with clear explanations. You managed to bring me some confidence on the path to the foundation program, good night! ;)
