im dark an play acoustic guitar an no offence white ppl artists try to imitate the blues sounds coming out of these ppls great guitar work but to live in poverty do cotton picking living from pay to pay scratching starving this is where the brilliant sound wich they play comes from their hard times an broken heart they put it into their great blues music wich will never be copied imitated from these ppls hurts an hardships wich they endured but i thought i would just say this its not to be mean just an observation im 61 and i know what its like to struggle but these old blues playing ppl endured a lot more im glad their getting recognized today rip to all of them xox

Some of the first stuff I learned on guitar in the 70s was some MJH tunes from a book of tabs collected by Happy Traum!

Was really hoping to see maybe a clip of John fahey talking about his influence on him too but does such a thing even exist?? Either way, this is awesome!

The first time I heard of John Hurt was when I watched the movie Shadrach. I fell in love with the music and led me to listen him. Love that more people will learn about this amazing man

Feel blessed to have stumbled across this great man's music a few years ago. The presence and kindness that it radiates is so striking.

Don't know how Jorma Kaukonen didn't get interviewed in this film. He did a lot of Hurt's stuff.

The first blues songs I fell in love with, must have been 1964 or 65. Life changer.

His wonderful music has enriched my life for decades.

The sweetness shines through in his music, it sits on you like a favourite sweater.

I can’t wait to see this. I’ve got several CDs of his, but haven’t found any vinyl, yet.

Finally. I am so glad someone is making this film. He is one of my all time favorite performers. He is the perfect combination of folk, blues and jazz that no one could replicate.
