The cat 977H track adjuster cylinder blew a seal. In order to repack the gland seals in the cylinder the track had to be split. Perfect sound
Looks and sounds beautiful I would have no problem listening to that all day
Sharp looking tractor - great engine note too.
I have a 706 for my workhorse,, rebuilt slightly,, and new paint,, looks and sounds great
Beautiful machine.
Would say the look of the 66 and 86 ih is my favorite about the ih but it's the way they just wind out so high in the rpm
Do you ever check out the RPMs on a John Deere fuel sucker
What's the attachment called?
It looks like a cultimulcher to me.
Some lovely patina on that machine, work worn and in its working clothes, looking great, never be tempted to paint her...

What a beautiful machine and sound , We had a 1066 all great tractors !
Why don't ya try filling the bucket next time, LOL. You just have to love those old machines. Thanks for the great video!

I also have a D7E if u need me to look at it I can
@@vintagepower1536 I have berco links and salt tracks.

How did you remove the cylinder out of the spring side?

If I recall the cylinder should just unbolt from spring side and can be pulled out.
