They gave yous English-speaking Afrikaans accents in the movie. I don't see why they did that when Daniel Radcliffe's mum is South African. He should've realised not all South Africans sound Afrikaans (especially considering they have these interviews and could've spoken heaps with the chaps the film is about) but they did an alright job considering it was an important film to produce!!!

I like how that now apartheid in South Africa has ended, there is no more crime there. Everyone lives peacefully at last. All its problems have been sorted out.

At minute 3, if one carefully analyzes the terminology employed by the main protagonist, “defeat by the enemy”, “continuity of the struggle” (& I would add the notation “freedom fighters”) one sees the exact political origin of the individuals concerned. Those terms do not originate from liberal democratic principles. They are all fundamentally Marxist. This is precisely why the Vorster government placed charges of treason. But the sentence was ultimately wrong. It should have been deportation & revocation of citizenship.

I just read John Graham-Cumming's blog and checked out the github for Tape Coder. Australia's history curriculum in the 00s failed to cover how cool the ANC and those opposing apartheid were.

The intelligence of the nation is expressed in the quality of their work including quality of their prisons. I can't accept the government gave so comfortable conditions of criminal existance inside their jail. But I am quite sure the jailer should be a damn idiot to permit bring the wooden key out from the workroom. It's just impossible.

The story is far more than just that. This was a message to the common folk to take a stand against corruption. Not that I'm saying that violence is good but when will people learn that true freedom is when you can live to fight for others... its freeing to have that on your side lol but hey, there aren't any problems with keeping the world in balance as there is no such thing as good without bad existing...

Once they could get out of their cells they could have just waited to ambush the night warden, steal his keys/clothes, lock him in a cell and gotten out of there.
