Kubota 345 mowing and gets hot.
Просмотров 21Месяц назад
At the end of video steam starts coming from under the hood of the tractor. There was a mouse nest in front of the radiator blocking air flow. The temp gauge was not showing hot, so I think the gauge is off and needs replaced.

Looks good - I rebuilt my small sprayer with a similar tank. I bit the billet and bought a Hypro Silver XL series pump. Knock on wood, no more rust issues fouling up the pump year over year.
Thanks. I'm not really going to put much more time and money in this sprayer. I'm looking for a big sprayer to setup the was I want it. Probably just going to put a hand wand on this one and use it as a spot sprayer.
If I pushed it off it would definitely hit my truck. I put used motor oil in my pumps. Works great and it’s a free byproduct. Have a good one buddy
Boy you amd me seem to have the same luck Mr Monty!! Those sprayers can really wear a man down!! Yep...I would have pushed it off, and right into the truck 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That threader is pretty slick!! I hate those bulkhead fittings, such a pain. Look fwd to seeing it out in the field soon my friend!! 😁😁😁👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Yeah, I really think we buy the same equipment, just different locations. LOL. I was surprised when it didn't hit my truck. Yes the bulkhead fittings are a pain. Well if the camera would have cooperated you would have seen it in operation. The sprayer worked well. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@VintageFarm1086 😁😁👍🏻👍🏻
Those bales look great. Nice job with the string tie spacing - tight bales too, don’t see any sag. How much do you think one of those bales typically weighs? Thx!
Thanks. With replacing the drive sprocket, the baler does a much better job and makes a tighter bale. 5-600 lbs each.
Nice work Monty, thanks for sharing and hope you have a blessed week my friend.
Thanks, Tony
Man yeah Mr Monty, right up my alley!! You had me rolling though...."I better stop or I'll have it in the garage door" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I wouldn't have been that lucky to remind myself until I heard it crunch🤦🏼🤣 Looking fwd to seeing the repair over the winter!! Thank you sir for bringing us along!! 😁😁👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇲🇺🇲
It would not have been the first time something hit my garage door. But there's no photo evidence of that. I'm still working on a repair plan. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
@@VintageFarm1086 😉😉😁😁👍🏻👍🏻
Maybe that'll get you by till winter when got time do something more permanent
Hopefully it will. My winter project list is already pretty long.
Man yeah Mr Monty, between the 584 and the skid steer, you made short work of that!! Boy that is such a blessing to have that kind of storage!! Oh my, I would have all the strings cut for sure 😂😂🤣🤣 Hopefully the tire report wasn't bad, and you were able to get back after it!! Thank you sir for bringing us along!! 😉😉👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻😁😁🇺🇲🇺🇲
Those two do make a good team for moving hay bales. Yes the pole works great for hay and equipment. Yeah I'm going to have to do something with those metal pieces for sure. I ended up taking the tire off the rim and putting a patch/plug in it. That's for watching and commenting Nelson. I enjoy the tillage video. It's nice to see the old iron in action.
@VintageFarm1086 😉😉😁😁👍🏻👍🏻 Thank you Mr Monty!!
Oh my 😳😳😳😳😳 Are those Bald faced hornets? 😳😳😳 Nope and couple heck no's, looks like you won though 😉
Yes I think so. I didn't get close enough to see after I ran over the nest. Just considered myself very lucky they didn't come after me.
@@VintageFarm1086 Wow, you sure are Mr Monty 🙏🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻😁😁👌🏻👌🏻
Nice video Monty, hope you have a blessed week my friend.
Thanks
Excellent video! Thanks for making this! The rubber on my top roller looks good like your lower roller. I’m wondering if the top sprocket is wollered out like your lower sprocket causing the lower drive roller to do all the work and with it slip and wear on the rubber. I’ll check it out and the spring length too. Thanks again…👍
Thanks, I hope it helps. If you have any questions just ask.
@@VintageFarm1086 Will do - thx!
Looks like you've got a lot of nice bales out there to pick up. Pretty handy little alarm box set up. Keep up the good work there Monty.
Yeah it was a few. Thanks
Looks good…👍
Thanks
I still say, the skid steer beats the tractor for loading bales in the field. Faster and more fun!
If the bales are close to the trailer, but if I have to go very far the tractor is faster.
@@VintageFarm1086 That's true, you just need someone to help out to run the skid steer or move the bale trailer.
Looks like some really nice hay there Monty. Those were some "Healthy" sized windrows you had raked up. Thanks for the ride alongs. Take care.
Thanks. Yeah they were big windows.
See the Case rake doing work, the dang tongue broke clean off of mine last time I was raking. Got to get it welded back on and ready for the next time we head to the field.
Yes the case rake works well for me. Good luck with your repairs.
Is that an 84 series on the rake? Got a 784 new in 1982, still going with only minor repairs. And what is on the baler?
Yes, it's a 584 and a 1086 on the baler. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Isn’t that what is called a swather.
Maybe in some places, but not around here.
Nice job Monty, thanks for sharing and hope you have a blessed week my friend.
Thanks
That’s a great video, good sized windrows and the 330 appears to be taking the hay fine. Couple of questions if you don’t mind. Looking at your older video replacing the pickup tines, was the additional length of the tines noticeably beneficial picking up the hay and getting it into the baler? I also noticed you have what appears to be a full set of compression rods on your pickup compression rack. Do you run the full set in heavy hay like in this video? Taking notes here in VA for use with my 335…. Thanks!
Thanks. Yes the 330 takes hay very well. It will take all you can shove in it and more. It's amazing how much hay it takes. Yes the longer pickup teeth made quite a bit of deference in how it picks up hay. I'm glad I replaced them. Yes I run a full set of compression rods. It helps with feeding hay into the bale chamber. I made the extra rods out of 3/8 rod I picked up a Lowe's. I used an original for a pattern. They lasted two seasons and now I have lost two of them. I guess I will break down and pay mother deere there hi price for new ones. LOL. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.
Excellent video….👍
Thank you
Man yeah Mr Monty, that's gonna make some very nice hay!! I could ride along on either tractor for hours!! Hopefully the weather holds out, and you can get some rolls made!! Thank you sir for bringing us along, look fwd to seeing what's next!! 👍🏻👍🏻😁😁😁🇺🇸🇺🇸
It did. You can ride along anytime. The weather is doing good. Hopefully I will cut some more today.
@@VintageFarm1086 😁😁👍🏻👍🏻
Some real nice hay letting 584 do the talking for you 😂😂😂 thanks for bringing us along
Thanks, yeah the 584 does good.
Probably something simple to fix. Have you ran the JD 330 on this tractor?
There was a mouse nest in front of the radiator. And the temp gauge is not actorate anymore. No, it only has one hydraulic outlet. Plus don't think it has enough power and weight to handle the 330.
Well I hope we seea part two Mr Monty!! That little tractor would be hamdy to have for sure!! Hopefully it wasnt anything major!! Enjoyed the ride my friend!! I hope you have a great week!! 😁😁👍👍
There was a mouse nest in front of the radiator. And evidently the temp gauge isn't accurate. It's ok and back to work. I don't use the Kubota very much anymore, it really doesn't fit my operating anymore.
@@VintageFarm1086 Is it a little on the small side?
@@Pennies_on_the_dollar yeah. It has a industrial loader on it. I would like to find a backhoe for it and just leave it on it. I have used it to move round bales before, you have to leave the bush hog on the 3pt or the rear is to light. It gets a little tippy sometimes.
@@VintageFarm1086 I understand totally!!
A little late Mr Monty but made this one!! I think I missed the spreader video 🤔 Anyway, sounds like you have been busy and had some Nelson luck 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ I agree love those patches with the plug on it, but yep.... probably not worth the wrestle on a skid steer tire!! Hope the baler repairs go well and look fwd to the season my friend!! Thank you very much for bringing us along! Hope you have a great week sir!! 😁😁😁👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Better late than never. The spreader video is still up. I think the baler will go good. Yeah, skidsteer are no fun to mount. Your welcome. I didn't miss editing videos, but I did miss the chit-chat of the comments. I'm looking forward to seeing your planter video. I hope the modifications helped. Thanks for watching and commenting Nelson.
@@VintageFarm1086 I am gonna head back and catch that spreader video!! I know the feeling of editing!! Thank you sir, won't be long maybe Sunday possibly 😉😉😁😁
Seems to be something all the time lol!
Yes it does
Good to see you Monty, hope you've been doing well and that you have a blessed week my friend.
Thanks, Tony
Good seeing you again Monty with daily you got a full plate film something when you can we understand
Thanks, Gordon. Yeah with a full time job and the farm, really I have two full-time jobs. I'm going to try to get back to filming.
Hello Mr. Gordon, how have you been doing my friend?
You can take down a rotten shed with almost anything. I have had to do it with a Bobcat and forks before!
Demolition man Monty 👍🏻🇺🇸! Enjoyed watching friend!
Thanks for watching
Get er done Monty. Take care and have a blessed week my friend.
Thanks, Tony
Great video…👍
Thank you
Nice work with the Ol' Scavenger Monty. Seems like we're all getting exited to get out into the fields. Thanks for the ride along.
Thanks. Yes I know I am very excited to get back to tractor and field work.
You should be able to get it dialed in!
I hope, I'm still working on that.
Man yeah Mr Monty, spreading that gold!! I have to say, I busted out laughing when you were setting it up, and testing. "We already got 💩 all over the side of the tractor" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That was epic and perfect timing!!!I I hope you can get it dialed in exactly how you want it, and the road travel issue. That 10 sure sounds good, even through the cab! Thank you sir for bringing us along!! 😁😁👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Yeah, I forgot to drive into the wind. Being in a cab tractor I ferget about the wind sometimes. I'm still working on dialing in. It's more the neighbors complaining about the road then I really care about the road. There hasn't been any farming going on on the road in 30 years. The 10 does sound good with a load behind it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@VintageFarm1086 😁😁😁👍👍👍
Looks like everything working like you want 👍🏻🇺🇸
Everything was working until it wasn't. LOL. I will have more on that later
Hey Monty I got the same spreader with square auger sometimes raise it up & down help some but we had same issue works better on slurry type
After I hauled a couple of more loads I figured that out. LOL. That for the advice.
Man yeah Mr Monty!! I enjoyed that!! Brings back alot of memories for me!! That chain thing is a lifesaver for sure!! A 2 for one!! 😁😁 You said it right, its on the ground, no one got hurt! I would be rustier than that for sure! That husky was eating some wood 😉 Thank you My friend for bringing us along!! Hope you have been well sir!! 😁😁🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍
I'm glad you like the video. Yes, the most important thing was trees on the ground and no one hurt. I don't like cutting leaning trees. Yes the husky is a wood eating machine. Your welcome.
Lumber man Monty ! 👍🏻🇺🇸. It’s a sharp chain saw the way it ate through the tree !
I like to keep my chainsaw chains as sharp as possible. It easier on the saw and me.
That's a real nice saw nice tip on chaining tree.
I think it helps.
NNNIIICCCEEE!!!!!!!! I can almost smell the diesel exhaust. LOL
Thanks, Ron
Great sounding tractor.
Thanks
Nice cold start !
Thank you
Sounded great Monty. Hope you have a blessed weekend my friend.
Thanks
Mighty fine…👍
Thanks
great looking machine you have there! love the history story with it!
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Man yeah, the handiness of a skid steer is never ending!! I'm late Mr Monty but made it! Man y'all did get some good snow!! We are now at 71 degrees today , it's so crazy!! Have a great weekend Mr Monty and look fwd to seeing what's next;! 😁😁👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
A skidsteer is one of the most versatile pieces of equipment a person can own. It was 70 here on Thursday. Thanks for watching and commenting Nelson.
@@VintageFarm1086 😁😁👍👍
That 1840 made pretty quick work of that 8" on the barn lot there. Take care & stay warm.
Yeah it worked well. Thanks
Nice job Monty, hope you have a blessed week my friend.
Thanks, Tony
Looks good. We haven't had enough snow to shovel yet. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Steve. It's been awhile since we have had enough snow to push.
