Celebration of Diana Stadden's Work: We Love You!
Diana Stadden has worked at The Arc of Washington for over 16 years. She is retiring in April to spend more time with her grandchildren and family. Diana has been an amazing advocate through the years, making true change for individuals with I/DD. She is known for her phenomenal “Notebook” which provided invaluable information to advocates. She is the lady who has made Advocacy Day happen without a hitch. She is beloved and will be truly missed.

On January 25th, 2023, over 400 individuals with Developmental Disabilities and their supporters gathered at the Capitol Steps in Olympia, Washington. Developmental Disability advocates told legislators and the community "Let people out of institutions! We want to live in the community." State legislators and self-advocates spoke at the event.

Residential Habilitation Centers (RHC) were state institutions created for children with developmental disabilities in the 1950s. They are no longer needed for people with DD as we know people can live successfully in the community with the right supports. Learn more!

Hi, It's great to hear the story from Trevor . It's amazing to know about the Program: employment , job coach... I have 13 years old boy with Autism / high functioning. He's going to 8 th grade after this Summer. But he has challenges with expression language and social interaction skills. I would like to get some more information about this program please! I appreciate your response in advance.
