Gibraltar Sidekick Percussion Tray
This video goes over the Gibraltar Sidekick Percussion Tray and its uses. This is a very useful product for holding hand percussion instruments, sticks, or just about anything you need. It beats setting drinks on the floor..

My first influence in drumming is Dave, I like to call him the splash king. He was definitely the power house behind what made Pearl Jam great.

I love that you used a tom arm to mount it, that's original!
Just got a used kit but the previous owner lost a lot of the hardware. This helped out a lot figuring out what to buy to complete my cymbal stand again.
Thanks my friend, I am glad it helped you out. I had to do a lot of research to figure out all the parts
THE TOOLS YOU BUY WILL BE WELL WORTH IT IN THE LONG RUN
Ahoy @Drum Talk🤠 I was just thinking of doing this, the FM stations near us are temperamental, this could give us a boost ! Also more tools🤣 Yes Please LOL ! Cheers Buddy !✌
Nice Video ... Thanks !!!
Just came here to say the bass drum on these little Export kits from that era sounds AMAZING
Is a used zbt 18” crash/ride for $50 a good deal?
Awesome! Great song!
How much are you selling the silver export for?
No less than 500
Yamaha, Tama, Pearl... they all have it wrong ??? They all deliver cymbal stands with a thick felt pad at the bottom so what. 😕
Thanks for commenting, it helps my only viral video, to go viral. It is a stupid video 🤔 it confuses me why RUclips pumps this crap video out
Thanks - that was great - I think I'll get me one!
Best food in the world and worst food in the world
Where the fuck am i?
Your in the hood
Dry ice is extremely cold at -109.3 degrees Fahrenheit.
I couldn't tell it was painted until you mentioned it. Does removing the wrap change the sound at all?
well, its hard to say, i think in a small way it does, because the shell is not wrapped, but its more of a preference. i get more satisfaction out of not having any wrap on the drum.. tho, if it is a super cool wrap, i would leave it.. but if its not a rap you are astonished by, id say, take it off, customize it, and have fun with it.
Smashing the like button on this one bro!!!!
That's very cool. I've never seen anyone do that before. I need to catch up on a lot of your videos. And I will.
That come out really good! You inspired me to go grab a set that needs to be salvaged lol
it is actually fun to do! its a good hobby..
Did that come with any toms?
No, my band mate just had this bass drum sitting in the corner and I asked him, is that a 20? And he asked if I wanted it. I kinda hesitated at first but after closer inspection I happily took it.

Cool
Cornell Grove
That is a very boomy kit! Probably not helped by the massive window right next to you!? I think you should try damping every drum & put up some treatment materials on the walls + window! Agree with what you're saying about everything else 💯
Yes sir, you are exactly rite. That's why I don't play drums on videos. I get a lot of criticism for talking and not playing, but that's why I don't play. I don't have the proper microphone and mixing equipment to make professional audio in videos. It's just the mic on the phone picking up any sound.
@@Prizmatic1658 IMO you're good at sharing your experiences and tips with other drummers, that is why I like your videos.
Zildjian in the 80's and 90's were pushing so many big thick clangers in regular music shops that were being bought mostly by beginners and tone deaf gorillas. Just horrible. Drum sales in most small stores were/are just an afterthought. Great sounding cymbals either have YOUR right sound or don't. You really can't change it without being in a makers redo tool studio or purchasing by listening to high bit recordings in demos. A Z marketing was all about being heard and not breaking. It was difficult to walk in most stores and find something thinner and more refined. A bass player friend admitted to me that he and the sound guy in their band kidnapped from their drummer a real stinker A Z crash that would make everyone visibly wince when crashed. They frisbee tossed it over an alley fence one night. He did mankind a great favor. 🍺
Great story my friend! Your comment was fun to read, thanks man, I bet the the final death bash of that frisbee sounded sweet 😂
Is it hard to add more cymbals to an electric kit, if one would want to ?
Toms are my favorite part of the drum set i can't live without em
Thats how I have my set up. But only I use a Harbinger m-200 pa system, and it sounds great and its loud.
Lol talking about spiritual drumming but not mentioning Danny carey who is a superior drummer. Hmm
Relax, i haven't gotten to Danny C yet. Yes, that guy is insane, way better than Neil P. I am doing one artist at a time here. I have many favorite drummers.
It's cool to jam the hi hat with your left hand then that leaves your right hand free to move anywhere around the kit really smart idea man
There is this item TL-2030 by Pearl which is very similar (I know you also use Pearl products), what would you say are the differences between them?
Thanks for informing me, I didn't know pearl made the same product, I will have to check it out. 👍
@@Prizmatic1658 You're welcome!
I'm gunna get 2 of those one for the right side and one for the left side thanks for sharing that video man
Thanks for being a regular viewer! It is a neat little cymbal holder, could work for blocks or bells also.. I like how The infinite mounting options allow for the cymbal to mount straight up.
@@Prizmatic1658 I was thinking 2 splash cymbals on the left and a bell or 2 on the right good thinking man!!!!
Hertha Flat
Thanks for the video. Did you do any research on the 830 Vs the 930?
Mmm mmm that dip looks yummy !! Please do a follow up with the cream cheese, etc. I wonder if some cilantro would be good in the meat... Cheers @Drum Talk !!🍻
great idea with the cilantro! I will, it will be better with the cream cheese, i think lol 🙂
Too bad Tama doesn't sell a masking plate like Pearl's BBC-1. I like those hoops, no claws!
yea! that would be awesome!
Those plastic/acrylic hoops are great! I had a Tama Rockstar with those same hoops. The kick drum always sounded fantastic, and I believe it had everything to do with the hoops.
Good unboxing of American Nunchaku Co chucks
Weird youtube is recommending this to me... I just brought home my old rockstar kit from my parents house. It's been sitting in an attic without climate control soooo I think it's probably toast. We'll see. Love Tama though.
I have played Iron cobras power glides on metal hoop 1988 Tama Swingstar for 35 years and never had a problem
Tama Accutune hoops.
Metal hoops on my Tama kick drum pedal fits perfectly your Tama kick drum is junk
Thanks showing the seat to spindle joint was helpful!!
Totally get what you’re saying about not hearing that cymbal rattle against the post during practice or a live setting but at home when I’m listening carefully and enjoying the cymbals characteristics it drives me nuts and it’s not a character of it that I want to hear, especially when there’s such an easy solution to rid that issue. Also, vintage cymbals were notorious for key-holing and cracks because of it. Move forward to modern times when equipment is louder and music is faster and heavier there’s a need for protecting our expensive precious alloys from destruction lol. But yes, these are beautiful cymbals and the medium thin 20” is one of my favorites!
Dude with that bass drum hoop being like that makes changing the bass drum heads super easy
it really does! less parts..
@@Prizmatic1658 Tama makes great stuff even in their entry level stuff
Make sure the price doesn’t go up after a year.
