They absolutely should have reworked the radios for DE if they truly wanted to make a definitive edition. There was so many amazing trance tracks from that era. Side note: this screenshot is what a definitive edition SHOULD have looked like, R* majorly dropped the ball with those releases.

The song choices for gta 3 still hold some mad favorites. I’d love to be the one who has that job. That’s a dope and important job. Can’t just throw random crap in, you gotta know what will fit and know where to go if you need something specific without needing to create something one off. GTA III still blows my mind til this day. Just how vast the city is when the game starts. That's when PS2 really felt like a next gen console, the future of gaming looked promising.

There was a time when I loved GTA III. That was around 20 years ago when older guys installed it for the school computers, it was an unbelievable technical masterpiece with the open 3d world. And Vice City come out and pulled everything better, so as I thought. As time fled more and more open world games come out, and by the end of the 00's GTA III felt utterly outdated. In the 10's I don't think I ever installed it. But after another few years I wanted to give it another go as an adult, without any childish pink cloud with overexcitement over first tricks. And you know what? I think GTA III was much more than a demo for 3D open world games. The dark gloomy rainy atmosphere is just something else. It's everything GTA IV wanted to be but couldn't. Forget the story and the clunky controls, just hop into a car and turn your radio to Rise FM and drive into the cloudy streets of Liberty City. That is some prime video game experience I assure you. Thank you for this alternative setlist, I'm really not familiar with these kind of electronic music.

I always found it sad that RiseFM originally didn't have more big hits from Trance artists of the time, but this genuinely extends that desire, and to see 4 Strings, ATB, Lange, Lightforce, just GOATs this set for me.
