Feels good to finally get a win! I think starting JJ and Elijah will be better than playing Carlos. If Elijah can get hot again, I think he’ll be a key part moving forward. All due respect to Carlos, he just isn’t an ACC caliber starting PG. He’d be a good backup playing 10-15 min a game. His stats got better but Syracuse still lost most of the games. Concern moving forward is the amount of TOs. Even if team lacked talent, good coaching can show improvement. Although we won today, I’m not sure if we are seeing any improvement from this squad…

The ACC is horrible. Losing all those coaches ... to end up 5 or 6 in the conference you'll be the best of the ugly while bottom teams shouldn't play. When GT went zone an offense actually showed up and was quite effective too. We've been doing it this way for 50 years ... Tone deaf... sounds like Insurance companies and New York State government...

I have had concerns about Adrian Autry this season, I've been very critical, but I think we need to give him some room for a couple of more years. This will give him opportunities to recruit the team he is looking for. We have a couple of guys coming in that could make a difference.

The players did their part in making a victory happen here.Now,we must keep the momentum going into next game vs BC.Lets keep winning and turn the pundits around the media to be more hopeful than not.

So much talent wasted by Autry who just fails to coach, make ingame corrections. Whats' his name was fired by Washington should be in the conversation to replace Autry. Jimmy B. coached about 5=6 yrs. Really hurt recruiting and the program.

I was actually happy after the first game of 02 ,03 and it was a loss but everybody could see what we had for a team that went all the way to the championship

And bell only got 5 shots!!!!! You know how terrible it is when a guy is that locked and loaded and can only get 5 attempts…. He should of had 15 attempts the way he was shooting. And by the way. I will watch through the good, the bad, the ugly. My body bleeds ORANGE

I think Su bb needs to re- evaluate their goals.I hope things get better.But if they do not,then change must happen.I cant see our program being so sub par year after year.

It's more than just not winning.. you can just tell its bad coaching..I'm sorry..I love staying in the SU family but if it means being rhe worst team in the league it's not worth it. .

I’m going to disagree this is a talented team , and are playing out there with no guidance at all. I know he retired but this is a fact if Boeheim was coaching this team we would be 10-3 or even Pitino any good coach would have this team no worse than 9-4. You don’t have to agree but it’s true.

They got a line up change and still lost ,we need a coaching change!

What if I said that a dead battery could still give you a spark? Or that a dead lighter could still work for a split second on fumes alone? You still need to change the battery or buy a new lighter, right? My point is Carlos should have been on the bench 10 games ago! leaving him in the starting line-up is like waiting for the dead battery to start your engine! IT JUST DONT WORK THAT WAY! Similarly, Kyle Cuffe and Naheem McLeod, you cant assess their skills when they are on the bench 99% of the time, then expect them to show up on the court and be a hero. You can't just ask them to play Hero-ball and expect them to be productive. It just doesn't work that way. Player's have to get acclimated in real time in order to respond to the chemistry of their teammates during the game. It's like a boxing match, unless your mike tyson, rarely will you come out and score a knock out, you have to let the game come to you, but AUTRY DOSEN'T GIVE THEM TIME! THAT'S BAD COACHING!

The best thing you've said all season (outside of make your MF FTs) is the Fairweather 10K are long gone. Its so clear watching this team when even the first level is mostly empty, albeit with students not back yet, but quiet as a funeral. I am 40+ born and raised in Cuse and the local neighborhood flags are all Bills now, no more Orangemen/Orange flags. This team is a sad departure from what we grew up with and I fully understand NIL and the growth of the game but man, get the paddles out Axey, insider or not, this Orange is crushed.

Davis needs to be in the starting lineup and needs to play 25-30 minutes. I’m sorry, but Chris Bell can’t get out of his own head. Lampkin needs at least 15 FG attempts down low. Freeman as well. Best starting lineup? JJ (when he returns) Choppa Davis Freeman Lampkin

To be honest the problem is systemic and probably since either when we entered the ACC or after winning the National Championship.Did the hunger disappear? Fact is SU reached the Final 4 in every decade since the 70s, 5 years left. ESPNhack came in in 2016... Nothing since... Systemic? I believe it. 14000 in attendance is my proof. I would suggest 1 thing since the ACC referees will disappoint throw a chair to rattle people's cages. Then at the press conference apologizing. But don't explain it. It's about a message.

The portal guys were not the problem las night. The decline of Chris Bell and Choppa Moore, along with the loss of JJ Starling has crippled this team.

Steve Forbes is a good coach, Red Autry,umm, is not..... from day 1, this team felt like the guys on the bench knew they were better than the guys playing all of the minutes and that's caused some chemistry discord amongst the roster

After 13 games autry should have a starting line up and bench figured out. They don’t seem to play well together at all

The first two years of the hated Boehiem era was 79-80 26-4 conference 5-1 then in 80-81 22-12 conference 6-8. There is know excuse for Red he had a good year last, then all transfer out, and he brought in a mediocre team. I know they are playing hard, but this is Syracuse. If the most hated coach can come and begin winning at a high rate with one losing season out of 46 years. Then its not much to ask for from coach Autry. Dont they know what talent is anymore.

I believe we should go back to the big east and start recruiting out of NYC, Los Angeles, and Detroit along with other venues. Red is not a motivator. He is a good Assistant Coach.😊

The top 5 ACC teams bring in the top rated players. Who does SU bring in? Guys from Hofstra, Delaware and Colorado, not exactly the hotbed of college basketball programs

Sad how bad this team is… Unfortunately this team will not win too many games even if JJ returns. Could this team win enough games to even make the ACC tournament? I think 6-14 or 5-15 is probably the best we could ask from this team… I really think Wildhack needs to seriously start considering a change. Bring in a new coach and new players.

Autry pulled Freeman with 6 minutes to play because he got his 3rd foul. They were down by 8 at that point. How does it make sense to anyone to pull your best player with six minutes to go, down by 8? Then he didn't put him back in until the 1:30 mark. Freeman again only played 22-23 minutes. You have to ride your best player for 30-35 minutes per game, and he needs to be the focus of the offense. Autry is absolutely terrible with player management.

They need to go strictly to zone.. they dont have the athletes or will to play man.. put mcleod in the middle and sub eddie in.. start free and davis at the 3 and 4.. sub lucas in at the 3... when starling returns, it needs to be a rotation of jj cuffe and choppa splitting duties at the 1 and 2... no carlos... no bell.. no petar

For the first time in like 40 years I forgot the Bucknell game was on last Saturday and didn't tune in till halftime..then I did it again today..😢

Coach B was forced to vacate 100 wins because of some minor violations. To me this is unjust in view of the fact that Joe Paterno who had been forced to vacate wins later had those victories restored. This should have happened to Coach B as well. Am glad he did achieve win #1000. He well deserves all the kudos in the world for his excellent work as coach and motivator. One of the best of all time. Never to be forgotten.

I think people fail to see the positives surrounding this program. We are closer than people think…..to becoming the team that schools pay to play them at the beginning of the season for a guaranteed win. Also I believe the reason Red subs guys once they start getting momentum is the same reason he still hasn’t found his starting lineup- he’s not a head coach. Thirdly- if you still can’t find the starting lineup at this point, what’s that say about your efforts in the portal during the offseason? Cuse football went to bigger programs and picked off whoever they could- McCord, Diggs, Meeks just to name a few. Cuse basketball (credit where due for Lampkin) went to Hofstra, Georgia state and Delaware. What’s wrong with this picture? Don’t forget the spot we also waisted on a kid who scored 4 points a game at faith heritage. Hope that was atleast an NIL incentive for his parents. This program is a joke.

Although the ACC is down the problem is SU is one of the most down of the downs..

Syracuse will be lucky to end the season with 11 or 12 wins
