Re. 'a god' In Act28:6 there is the same or similar grammatical structure. Paul has just been bitten by a serpent and nothing happens, what did the people think?.. King James Version Acts 28:6 Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god. They said that he was A god. The greek says: ἔλεγον αὐτὸν εἶναι θεόν They began declaring him to be god. Why is an 'a' ok here? It happens often, you will see that. (Compare joh8:44 "a" murderer) Regardless, the 'a', as we see is not unique to NWT.... Here's some examples: •1808: "and the Word was a god" - Thomas Belsham The New Testament, in an Improved Version, Upon the Basis of Archbishop Newcome's New Translation: With a Corrected Text, London. •1822: "and the Word was a god" - The New Testament in Greek and English (A. Kneeland, 1822.) •1829: "and the Word was a god" - The Monotessaron; or, The Gospel History According to the Four Evangelists (J. S. Thompson, 1829) •1863: "and the Word was a god" - A Literal Translation of the New Testament (Herman Heinfetter [Pseudonym of Frederick Parker], 1863) •1864: "and a god was the Word" - The Emphatic Diaglott by Benjamin Wilson, New York and London (left hand column interlinear reading) •1885: "and the Word was a god" - Concise Commentary on The Holy Bible (R. Young, 1885) The list goes on but as you see, NWT is by no means unique.

Would suggest stake is accurate as it is the direct Greek word used in the bible. Stauros (σταυρός) is a Greek word for a stake or an implement of capital punishment. The Greek New Testament uses the word stauros for the instrument of Jesus' crucifixion, and it is generally translated as "cross" in religious texts, while also being translated as pillar or tree in Christian contexts So bias can be the culprit depending on which translation one uses.

Which is more true. Love the Lord thy God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. Love thy neighbour as thyself. Whose words are these? In my walk, I found I only needed to call on Jesus to forgive me and I asked for his way in my life and path. I believe we are all loved but we fight about which path is best or more true. Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life. If one has read but chooses to ignore it is their choice, what good will fighting bring us. Time will always heal. Our Father created the heavens and the earth. It is a living creation not a dying creation. Our Father sustains everything. I believe he is bigger than all of creation. Nothing, not a single atom moves without him being aware of its past, present and future. I do share your concerns about words.

It’s just as important what we believe about him and who he actually than just believing in him. Jesus said NO ONE comes to the father except through me. He said many would no find the narrow path and say lord lord didn’t we do works in your name? And Jesus said I never knew you. Depart from me. The concept of sins of in christian is people born in sins meaning a baby who just born have sins? Sins of what? Sins they didnt even do and that sins of Adam and eve eating forbidden fruit which is show the insanity of Christian. What if the baby died before they being Baptized? They go straight to hell for sins they dont even do? Thus this show the God ACCORDING TO CHRISTIAN IS VENGENFUL. Not to mention its contradicted to the verse Ezekiel 18 20 that said The one who sins is the one who will die. The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child. The righteousness of the righteous will be credited to them, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against them. See they one who do the sins would take responsibility. Another thing is God send son to get sarcrifice now my question, if Jesus is God know his mission to get crucified then why he prostrated to the Father asking for help? In Matthew 26 39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” But when Jesus on the cross he said "My God My God why have you forsaken me" is this truely the word of a faithful man to God? Given up on God? This show how contradicted the christianity teaching from their bible.

It says that children aren’t responsible for these things as far as heaven and hell salvation until the age of accountability. Everyone is born with sin in them, hence why you see even a 2 yr old bullying people at day care, yet even God has mercy not to send them to hell if they die until they are oops enough to understand that they are sinning And need repentance for that. You misunderstand this concept. Not sure who is saying babies go to hell? But that is incorrect. @@afnanhype624 as far as Jesus goes he prayed to the father in his humanity saying if it’s possible for me not to suffer this horrific death, let it be but even yet even if it is not he submits to the father and says let your will be done. In the cross he wore the sin and humanity and was suffering in his flesh so he cried out to the father in agony. He didn’t curse God but he was crying out to him in his physical pain before he gave I his spirit. And as far as you pointing out that he prostrated himself, that has nothing to do with Islam because even pagans prostrate before idols, so do Buddhists and other religions that is not unique to Islam. Even Christians do this sometimes to pray. I have done it in times of serious prayer. That doesn’t make Jesus a Muslim if that’s what you are trying to say lol

As an ex-JW I can state that the NWT, especially the 2013 revision, goes out of its way to distort some Scripture. I would point out that it is not unique in that respect, many other translations reflect the proclivities and biases of their translators. I would also point out that what some commenters view as distortion is actually a legitimate difference in translation. The oft cited John 1:1 is a prime example. Several translators have struggled with the predicate of the sentence being identifying vs. qualitative. I REALLY recommend the translation notes in the NET Bible available online on this one. It shows the struggle translators have in balancing this. Back to the NWT, it is a highly literal translation with some merits (especially in the use of Hebrew verb tenses) but nothing that would recommend its use over the Legacy Standard Bible, another highly literal, word for word style translation. I have three favorites now - the NLT for readability, the LSB when I want as close to the original as I can get, and the NET Bible which gives the most transparent view into the struggles of translation and outstanding alternate renderings.

From the intrerwebs: ● Based on his analysis of nine major English translations, Jason David BeDuhn, associate professor of religious studies, wrote: “The NW [New World Translation] emerges as the most accurate of the translations compared.” Although the general public and many Bible scholars assume that the differences in the New World Translation are the result of religious bias on the part of its translators, BeDuhn stated: “Most of the differences are due to the greater accuracy of the NW as a literal, conservative translation of the original expressions of the New Testament writers.”-Truth in Translation, pages 163, 165.

@@777Tralfaz777 Please read the Beduhn document in full for context. (excerpts...) 1. “Comparison to the original Greek is absolutely necessary to make judgments of accuracy or inaccuracy.” Intro pg xv 2. ”So there is room for legitimate variation in translation. Bias does not necessarily enter into it. Bias is involved when differences in translation cannot be explained by reason based on the likely meaning of the original Greek.” Intro pg xv 3. “When there is no way to resolve rival possible meanings, we really can't blame translators for following the one that corresponds with their beliefs.” Intro pg xvi 4. ”I will not be addressing the ultimate origin question about the Bible...” pg1 5. “Not only are the translators not perfect, but the translations are imperfect copies of lost originals. No two manuscripts of the Bible agree completely. With imperfect base text translators cannot possibly produce perfect translations. The best they can hope to achieve is the most accurate rendering of the most likely original text based on the actual manuscripts we have at present.” pg2 Given the above quotes from Mr BeDuhn, and in defense of the New World Translation of the Bible as being the “most accurate translation of the Bible”, one must ask the following... A) Since he states in quote #1 above that one must have the original manuscripts to make “accurate” comparisons, and in quote #4 he admits, we do not have these original manuscripts but imperfect copies, can’t we conclude his comparison could be “inaccurate”? B) If we don't have original manuscripts but only imperfect manuscripts of the originals, and no two manuscripts agree with each other, who is it that made these copies/errors or for all the years prior to the invention of the printing press, based on quote #2 above, who is it that the “room for variation in legitimate translation” was left to? Was it not the Catholic church, the only version of the Bible BeDuhn reviewed, the only entity around during this period? C) BeDuhn says in quote #4 He is not going to cover the origin of the Bible. Since the Bible did not fall out of the sky and given all the quotes above, how can BeDuhn assure anyone he has not nullified his own quote #3 above? If he is not going to assure his readers that any of the entities are not the entity that compiled the Bible to begin with then how can he be sure he is “corresponding with their beliefs”? Peace!!!

Did Jesus claim to be God? *NEVER!!* Jesus claimed to be, not God, but the Son of God. As Jesus said to his enemies who wanted to kill him for making himself God. (John 10:33) But, did Jesus claim to be God? No, for at verse 36, he said to his enemies: "As for me, the Father chose me and sent me into the world. How, then, can you say that I blaspheme because I said that I am the Son of God?" Have you forgotten why the Jews wanted Jesus dead Consider the following verses.. 1. John 5:18 says: "This saying made the Jewish authorities all the more determined to kill [Jesus]; not only had he broken the Sabbath law, but he had said that God was his own Father." 2. At John 19:7, it says: "The crowd answered back, “We have a law that says [Jesus] ought to die, because he claimed to be the Son of God.” 3. During Jesus' execution, his enemies said about him: "[Jesus] trusts in God and claims to be God's Son." So, why did Jesus' enemies want him dead? It was because he claimed to be, NOT God, but the _Son_ of God. You need an accurate Bible study big time.

The video was going okay for a bit but after all those speculations it really ruined the video. 1. In 9:57 i dont see why its a confusing for you because Ishmael and Abraham were born 2,500 years before Muhammad. And according to hadith tradition. 2. Also Muhammad was never a pagan before Islam. So he couldnt just 'return to pagan rituals because he wasnt being popular' because if he actually wanted that he would just give into the Qurayshi demands in the first place. On the contrary it would have been BAD PR to turn away from Jerusalem. So it couldnt have been for PR. 3. NO it is not obligatory to kiss the stone or anything like that. According to Sahih al-Bukhari 1597 Umar - a companion of the Prophet - said that had it not been for the fact that Muhammad showed respect to the stone, he wouldnt have. That stone was only a blessing and no more than that. 4. The pagan arabs made anything they could into idols at that time. so the black stone being a victim of that isnt proving anything. 5. If the stone did come from a meteorite or such it wouldn't contradict anything as thats typically how you'd interpret the stone "coming from heaven". Also there is little archeological evidence for most of the life of Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac so trying to find evidence for a specific event about them outside scripture is pointless. What we do know is that Ishmael was sent to Arabia. I know you have your beliefs and I have mine. But it is my request to please look into things more deeply rather than on the surface before making some content about them. Specifically when the thumbnail is "The Real History of the Kaaba" rather than "My thoughts on the Kaaba". Some things you said were very misleading so i hope you are able to correct this mistake.

@@UziMan-Science-Math what are you talking about? It’s clear that Mohammed was a pagan before he started Islam. Have you actually read all the sources? I have a there no question about that. Islam did not exist before Mohammed’s revelation. Islam did not always exist. My point is that based on the. Biblical writings we have NOTHING about Ishmael and Abraham building the Kaaba and it being a place for worship of Yahweh God. Trust me I have done plenty of research. I have read the Quran and Hadiths and I do not believe he received his revelation from God.

@@Women4Theology I think you haven't read about the group in pre-Islamic Arabia called the "hanifs". They were practitioners of monotheism. They were this group of monotheists who rejected the Arabian Mythologies. Muhammad was one of these hanifs. I mean it explains a lot about why he would meditate and worship in the cave of Hira rather than the courtyard of idols before revelation. Personally I don't find the bible as any bit of a reliable source (while doing a lot of history and research on my own part. But if you wanna believe that that's fine. But it's better to just say there's no biblical evidence that Abraham and Ishmael built the Kaaba in your interpretation than accusing idolatry for Muslims around the world.
