went to a bruce springsteen concert at the L A coliseum. during the born in the usa tour and it was a great show, after he did his encore and the lights my girlfriend and i stayed in our seats waiting for the parking lot to clear outsome.well about 45 minutes later POOF the lights went back out and bruce and the E street band came back and said they felt like playing just a little bit longer and we hope you wont mind, My girlfriend and I moved up to 4th row center stage and watched them play for another hour and a half, every time i play this song it reminds me of a generation of kids and musicians who just loved the music GOD BLESS AMERICA

I'm going to see Jackson Brown and James Taylor in Nov. Love them. Reminds me of when our lives were so much simpler 😪 and I probably will cry for that reason alone but I just can't wait!! Orlando!

Lots of good songs about the tough life on the road. I really like how JB's isn't a common lament, he makes it about how tough it is on others. Classy.

did some local roadie work, we came in to help the big boys do their job and keep the show going. I use to sing this when we started to load out all the time. Always got a smile, sometimes even a good laugh.

Very good images and composition. I think that, in the end, with the word Stay, of such a large size and different from the rest of the text ... and leaving it permanent for minutes, does not favor the video or the philosophy that you have transmitted in it. :)

Several years ago when a friend and I saw TSO in Atlanta, Georgia around August maybe 2018, one of the band members thanked the hard working people who work to set their show up. A hard job, no doubt.

I think it was Roger Miller who said "I can write a song about anything". This is a good example of somebody doing just that. Never question the writing ability of anybody who can write a song about people who set up and tear down the sets at a concert and make it worth listening to for that long.

I was 20 when this song came out and a member of the us navy. My buddy, Fred Chaney and I, would drive down the road in Charleston, sc listening and singing along. Very few worries. To be young and carefree, again. But I guess that’s the secret to life: in our youth we don’t realize just how fleeting, fast, and short this life truly is.

I seriously doubt that roadies who work for bands that play arenas make minimum wage they may not make as much as the bands but I think they're comfortable
