We debate the news that former producer and showrunner Russell T. Davies is coming back to Doctor Who after the Chibnall era ends. Is this good news? Maybe but one of us is hesitant stating that RTD would need to have free reign over the show. Would his return save the show or is it too late? Enjoy listening and tune in a couple of weeks from now when we discuss scary movies and TV shows!

This is a TV ad for the Space:1999 Mattel Eagle toy that I was very excited about. I remember seeing this commercial back in the day. This ad was recently posted online and I took the video and made some color corrections to improve it a little. The original poster has some other cool ads - ruclips.net/channel/UC6RjGKTTA8OKOuOi3NsZSNg

I like this conference but doesnt have the part about space 1999. Can you put that part? Thank you for upload this material.
It took far too many years, but we finally got the uncensored from Part 7 (and many other Friday the 13th films), albeit in workprint form.
Magic dr.Russell
The best Cheek Bone's in Hollywood!
Very elegant woman a class act ♥️
Thanks to share this moment. Greetings from Brasil São Paulo
Like star trek, Anderson was pretty much a trend setter himself, he was the first person as far as I know that came up with video calls which is used in mobile phones
Space 1999 can be remade and be even more in line with modern physics. Suppose scientists in 2099 build a particle accelerator on the far side of the moon to create mini-black holes, theoretical particles, etc. Budget cuts, safety short-cuts, politics causes an accident that creates a wormhole that opens randomly sending the moon throughout the universe to be a vehicle for all the stories classic to 1999. Just a thought.
I'd give an arm and a leg to direct a homage for Captain Scarlet - best villains, no one is safe, great tech, a sense of menace and excitement missing from so much of today's entertainment. I think Cruise's Mission Impossible's franchise comes closest and he is my pick fror Scarlet, albeit one a little long in the tooth:)
OMG! I went to this con! It was the 2nd I ever went to and all my pics didn't come out. Thank you for posting this. I was one of the judges for the costume contest.
Love these guys❤❤❤❤❤
Ah, life before social media. I miss…
Mr Parker, is this your own footage? Im working on a publication about this show (virtual murder) and would like to mention this interview and, with your permission, a screenshot, please?
Bill bags (BBV) the guy introduced at the start, he had so much potential with the doctor who characters that was licenced out to him, too bad he couldn't write or produce a good knock off to save his own life, but at least it gave Nicholas Briggs a leg up in the whoniverse
No disrespect to the actor who played Sheridan, but I so wish that O'Hare could have completed the show.
ONE OF THE AUTO GENERATED TITLES IS PATRICK TROUTMAN IM GOING TO CRY
Zig and zog
Scorchio😊
Paul Darrow a great actor unfortunately his smoking killed him He had his legs amputated
Yes, but I saw him on a quiz show in a wheelchair and he was still charming and definitely upbeat. He and the actor who played Villa were playing for a charity to get the money they won. You can see it on youtube.
@@eastlynburkholder3559 Thank you Paul Darrow class actor One of the best Loved him in Blakes 7,,, BBC should have marketed better . Thank you again I will look for it,,
@@kingarthurusatenniscoach1415 i saw Paul Darrow appearing at a small meeting in a Midwestern state in the USA. The group who had invited him were raising money for a local charity. Some celebrities and actors are stingy with their time and energy. The RUclips I saw shows how s all 5he gathering was, how few people attened and Paul Darrow treated the occasion as if playing for thousands and as if it were a famous TV show that had invited him. And Paul Darrow loved Elvis Presley who comes from near where I live ( I live Northeast of New Orleans Louisisna and South of Menphis Tennessee. Paul Darrow looks nothing like Elvis but captures Elvis and again one can find video on you tube if Paul Darrow and friends in an Elvis tribute band. It is saud do nit meet your heroes, meaning writers or actors or other creatives for you will be disappointed and I guess Paul Darrow is the exception that proves the rule. If it is true heaven is a place where we can meet and have conversations and no one ever says to the ones having the conversations "you need to stop this and do something else more important." OR such and in the eternity no one woukd say that and Paull Darrow is one I would want to have a conversation with.

speaking of Space 1999 she must be almost 99
I would have happily flown through time and space forever with Lalla Ward - she was and is absolutely stunning. Even now, her sweet sophisticated charm takes my breath away.
Probably one of the main actors from the show I would love to have seen speak live. Rest in peace Mary
Mary Tamm was so elegant. She had a great sense of humour and was self deprecating. Ultimately, she was spectacular. Much missed.
I grew up in the late 60's and early 70's and SOOOO LOVED Space:1999. The show was way ahead of it's time. Watched it and UFO, The Man from Uncle, Mission Impossible, Star Trek. Sci fi was ALWAYS my show of choice, when they (the BBC/ITC) first aired Space:1999, I was HOOKED!! Would LOVE to see them do a movie or remake of the series, while it would be nice to have some of the original cast have cameo's, and the show's premise could be the descendants of the original mission staff of Moon Base Alpha, and how they settled on a distant planet and a possible return to Earth or some means of communication between earth post missing moon and the now settled descendants. Just a thought. You, Mr. Nick Tate/Alan Carter, brought me a wonderful childhood that I carry that wonder thru the rest of my life so far. God be with you and your family and ALL the cast and crew of Space:1999.
She didn’t mention that she had to walk barefoot in that scene in The Stones of Blood, for reasons that escaped me.
She was always so glamourous. She died too young - and it's so sad that her husband died so shortly afterwards. RIP Mary.
Barb is Hi>>>>>>>>>>>gh!
Someone guffs at 10:15
Spearhead from Space is a favourite of mine. It's quite a basic story all occurring on contemporary Earth. Has good pace, story, funny scenes, action. Something to do with the way they're directed.
Sylvester was silly even back then. I love these two. Lol 😅
Shes so beautiful! I wish i could have met her
how interesting feel Philip had such a hard time with the studio he deserves more credit for keeping the show alive through the film.
Vivek done a number on her. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
She is rude.
This is the reason news in todays time needs to be titled, The UnReality show.
His Cyber leader voice is one of the enjoyments of Classic Dr Who.
love him so much.hes so cute.
Really sad Sylvester didn't get more to work with, he's a brilliant Doctor.
Nicola is absolutely ravishing.
Nicola ❤
Fred Freiberger Should Have Been Fired !! For Destroying a Great Series. :(
This was very interesting. Especially hearing Rob Grant talking about what might be in series 7. Obviously this was before he decided to leave.
Wtf let Sylvester answer the question!!
2023, I still miss him! ❤
Last episode? They arrive at Earth, which is now ruled by giant insects. But they are nice. Lister finds Kochansky and marries her. Rimmer becomes fully human, actually misses being a hard light hologram and commits suicide. Cat is adopted by a rich bug family and ends up getting fixed. Kryten becomes an exhibit in a natural history museum (he also cleans up during closed hours).
BTW, I've seen the 1964 'Dr. Strangelove' film multiple times but have only just found out that Paul Darrow was a crewman in the B-52 aged 23 but I never recognised him..:) (A non-speaking uncredited role) I just dug out my DVD of the film and sure enough there he is, but barely recognisable.
You guys notice he has no microphone. He is that amazing.
He's wearing a mic on his tie down by his jacket button. No doubt he has a booming voice naturally
The great Barbara Bain! Simply wonderful to be able to experience her so enchantingly here. THANK YOU for this great video!
This is pretty awesome. Thank you for posting!
I met both of them
