Please make a vediio on problem 9.7
it's such a weird thing for an 'educator' to start with 'THIS IS SO HARD YOU GUYS'.
in the case 2, if we put the barrier at x=0 to x=L, the answer changes for L, right? We put the 2 to denominator for the second term in that case. But why? Can anyone explain this situation? GPT says that's because you take L=2a but i am really confused right now.
Thanks 🌸
Will this Hamiltonian affect the shape of the wave function and the electron distribution in the hydrogen atom?
Nice explanation
A quick correction. At 8:17, you mean sin^2(α) = (1-cos2(α))/2 (one minus cosine two alpha all divided by 2). It's not (1-cos^2(α))/2 (one minus cosine squared alpha all divided by 2) like you said. That's an easy thing to get mixed up since sin^2(α) also = 1-cos^2(α), and you correctly put the cos2(α) into the equation later anyway, so the final answer still ends up being right.
but why is the probability function psi squared? I understand now that probabilities are real so the wavefunction times its conjugate makes sense but is there any intuitive reason why? or even why the integral over a region would fetch a number between 0 and 1 and never over 1? I was going through the griffith intro to qm book when I found your page and I am ever so grateful. Keep it up!
you're great, man. i hope you're doing great (you haven't posted in a bit)! your lectures/tutorials have been a lot of help.
I’m from Mexico and currently doing a master’s degree in physical sciences. I wanted to thank you for the detailed solution you shared. It’s incredibly clear and will be a huge help for a presentation I have tomorrow. Your content makes a real difference thank you for sharing your knowledge
Wouldn't the same thing happen if E is greater than Vmax?
Do you have any videos showing that the energy momentum tensor is conserved? I am having trouble proving this. Always end up with two terms that almost cancel but not quite...
This exercise is similar to 6.36 of the second edition. My question is, why the element matrix of this problem isn't the same as in 6.36 but without the rows and columns that include the state 100? Thank you!
ok 07122024
The Schrödinger equation freaked me out the first time I saw it - I guess partly because of the imaginary number, and the weird Ψ notation - but it became surprisingly fun to work with when I actually started seeing some of these applications.
how did you calculate the velocities for C and A
You literally saved my life
You made a wrong solution brother If 2 times of im part is real then why 1 time of im is not real?
Thank you so much for the effort and can't wait for the string theory videos
Thank you. It was amazing
PDF PLS?

Thankyou for this lecture
This lecture is so thorough mathematically and conceptually. Beautifully done!
very nice video
you're awesome tysm
Nice 👍 explain Sir , I have wait next physics explanation class
God Dame! This is so helpful
the delta phi wasn't really explained when using the derive instead
Thaks :)
Thank you :)
Thank you Bro, U R a Legend 🤍
Thank you very helpful
why there is no 2.7 bro
You make my life easy man thnx ❤️
Thank you so much!!!
Your channel save me this semester!
Wonderful. Do you have your notes in pdf form that you can make accessible?
very well done!
in 5:45 how do we know its a scalar function also at 8:03 what happened to the dx?
Thanks a lot man❤. You're a great teacher. Saved me literally
I don't know how you come up with n = j_max+l+1. I think n = j_max+l-1/2 seems to make more sense. This is still a great lecture. Thank you.
Great video. Thank you!
bravo and thanks.
Should I follow along with Peskin & schroeder?
It is very helpful ❤
This is also Problem 7.12 in the third edition for those who are looking.
Please pin this comment so the video reaches a wider audience.
This is a great explanation but the video is mistitled. The Problem 7.1 in the third edition actually deals with Perturbation theory. Chapter 7 is perturbation only. Brilliant lecture though, as always.
Your professional instructions helped me a lot on my QM assignment! Thank you!
