This is the sound in the driveway of my 2023 Toyota Tacoma 2.7 liter four cylinder with a Borla Cat Back S-Type exhaust system. This system has a nice smooth sound to it. The sound under load accelerating remains consistent and a little louder, once you reach your cruising speed the exhaust quiets down and is not intrusive.

    Well said. I started in the late 80s and 36 tooth ratchets were still the norm. You learned how to manipulate your ratchet in order to deal with situations. I was able to get to the next click when in a tight spot with a little wiggling and finagling. I affixed a Sears flat metal spinner disc to my 36 tooth Mac 3/8 flex head ratchet to overcome the back drag issue. If the bolt was unthreading while ratcheting I would spin the bolt in with the thumbwheel until there was enough resistance to start ratcheting. Fine tooth ratchets were available in the dark ages when a lot of us older guys got our start. The New Britain Machine Co round head Kilness patent ratchets, sold under various names, came in both 45 and 60 tooth configurations. The 60 tooth mechanisms felt like a Swiss watch and had a surprisingly low back drag by todays standards. My Dad has a 60 tooth Husky 1/2" ratchet that was never disassembled and lubed and it still feels smooth with marginal back drag after 60 years.

      These days I only work on my own vehicles so it is easier to keep things organized and clean. I installed a lot of Steeda suspension parts on my 2021 Mustang, front cross member stiffener, full frame jacking rails, plus a bunch of Steeda rear suspension parts like IRS sub frame support braces, billet aluminum vertical links to help control rear axle movement and wheel hop of the independent rear suspension including a set of Steeda adjustable rear shocks. For the engine I installed an aftermarket intercooler and Roush Cold Air intake as well as a turbo smart dual port blow off valve for the turbocharger. I also have a COBB Tune installed and have a Banks iDash gauge to monitor different engine functions. I also installed the Ford performance oil catch can. Having a full set of tools really makes working on the vehicles easier.

    where did you get the trailer from?

  • @rudyhonings
    @rudyhonings Месяц назад

    I bought a red cheep one. Finishing was fine, besides the need to drilled as well, and since the angle of 99% of the drill bits have a flatter angle than the hardened pointy tip, the is no need to make the point sharper. To reduce the swinging time, you can add some thicker oil or grease. that will stick a bit and helps to take out the energy.

    1) Drill underside as described and/or grind sharper taper on pin, making sure to leave centers untouched. Clean and lube. 2) Measure distances between balancer head flanges at 4 rods. I cut gasket paper shims to install under circlips to equalize distances after re-assembly of Step 3. Needed? Maybe not but it's a freebie. This does assume precision of the Chinese springs. 3) Remove bubble chamber, screws, washer and spring. Flip balancer head upside down on two 2X4s. Remove 4 circlips taking care with spring tension, particularly w/the last one. Circlips are cheap, unspringy and will need squeezing later to restore fit. Set 4 coil springs aside and check fit/spacing of rods into holes of head flange. One video showed bad misalignment and binding. Mine was accurate in all 4 positions and slid fully w/out binding. I ran a PVC pipe brush in the flange holes and cleaned deposits on rods (500 wet/dry), then greased very lightly. Reassemble w/any Step 2 shims and recheck distances. 4) Spin the balancer head on pin and check concentricity of black circle to spin axis. Adjust bubble chamber sideways as needed within the fit gap. Mark bubble disc edge and head where closest with paint spots. 5) Center bubble in ring with adjustment screws. Watch for deviation while head slowly rotates with its own momentum. Spinning fast will bring out any dynamic imbalance of head and cause lunging. Base flange should spin true. Bubble should repeatably self-center after swinging. The center dot on mine looks slightly off so I ignore it. 6) Set wheel gently down and centered on taper. Note bubble position and re-center wheel with a few more attempts. If bubble reads the same, lay weights on wheel to center bubble, then pick up wheel and reposition 180* to see if bubble is still centered. Try to get the wheel onto the taper w/out much sideways motion of the floating upper flange. This would be less critical with better rod/hole fit and bearings, but we went w/Harbor Freight for a reason. When a wheel gives inconsistent readings at 180*, I recalibrate the black ring and bubble. The bubble chamber can move, so check center for each tire/wheel and with any anomalous results. This usually works.

    This guy is full of crap not even having a 10K scanner can erase permanent codes also no dealer will clear permanent codes so he think someone can erase those so no body can unless you get to the map pack of the ECU code and do it all lies here😅

    • @mustangecoboosthpp3869
      @mustangecoboosthpp3869 3 месяца назад

      Wow what a word salad you just posted. Yes expensive scanners can erase permanent codes, dealers also can erase permanent codes and yes many vehicles this diode can erase permanent codes, while this may not work on every vehicle depending on how the manufacture is storing the code it does work on many vehicles. If you could not erase a permanent code the check engine light would never go out.

    I bought a 2022 Sr access with 5k miles a month ago. So far I’ve added the tail gate defender, the OEM black tail pipe, rough country seat covers, center cubby organizer, husky weather mats, blacked out toyota emblem in the steering wheel, booster and air compressor, 2022 trd off road wheels and tires (used from a buddies Tacoma), and 20% tint. Very happy with it so far. Next on my list are the soft roll tonneau, bed mat, fog lights and ditch lights. Maybe running boards after that.

  • @MAGR1994

    What running board are those?

    • @mustangecoboosthpp3869
      @mustangecoboosthpp3869 4 месяца назад

      I purchased my running boards from Summit racing, these are Raptor running boards. They are very high quality but a word about running boards, if I had it to do over I would have purchased a set with a step instead, the reason is the cab is not tall and this style running board puts you so far up that you have to relearn how to get in and out with this style running board. The ones with a step that is a little lower on the running board would make entry and exit a little easier. Having said that I do not regret purchasing the Raptor running boards because they are a quality product that will last the life of the truck. I have adjusted how I get in and exit the cab and I have no desire to replace these running boards. I am happy with them.

    Interesting about being torqued wrong from factory. In the comment section of another video a guy said he check his himself, he said it seems like they were more at 25 then 41. I had mine done and they said it was fine, but now the thumping that I heard and felt when breaking is gone, so that tells me they weren't at proper torque. What frustrating is that I have taken this truck in 3 times for scheduled service, and each time I told them I can hear and feel a thump coming from the rear when I break, they did nothing about it.
