Eamon from @VariantTrailersAustralia tells us about the additional compliance we have on our trailers to allow the use of KNOTT mechanical braking systems up to 3500kg. Like to see where that short ram hides
Same ram for side and rear-it retracts it itself and just below the axle. Powerful strong 4T ram.
I'm no expert, but you think the lift would be easier if the ram was in the front of the trailer, less force needed to lift.
Hi Wayne, Our engineers have designed the product for the most efficiency and to ensure longevity of all the components. The central ram position also allows for our 3-Way tipper range to tip to the sides as well as the rear.

Do you get much wear on the ball joints? & do you have any saftey mechs if you forget to put the pins on, couldn't it just tip off the side?
Yes- keys are designed differently, so what that you do not fit wrong key in the wrong position. Additional clips are also in lace to stop disconnection.
