I saw Eddie do this with like 8 layers of paint…. None of which read in the end! I tried it with 4 colours… black, yellow, teal, then magenta for the pull… no yellow showed! So I suggest don’t make it so long haul! For the best effect… base, accent, background/pull colour! No extra work… lovely results! And guess what… it’s that darned RULE OF THREE that always works!!!

I was here in replay y'all, and really wish I had gotten up for this one, but last night wore me out. It was gig night and the band played hard. Anyway, LOVED everything that Shannon did and that I know we owe to the most fantastic teacher...Patricia shows us what to do and how to do it and if we follow her instructions we'll get great prints. GREAT stream, and I can't forget to say that Mariah has a way of explaining details that comes through so well. THANK YOU

I'm catching the replay. Shannon is doing great! Her friend that does collages would probably love some of those papers. I would love to see what happens if your crinkle the tissue paper then smooth it out before you lay it one the plate.

As I continue to watch the replay, it's 9º with a wind chill of -6º and not going to get any warmer. (That's cold enough that sunlight from the optimal angle isn't even warming the windows.) So I'm in my sleepwear and fuzzy robe with two pairs of socks. (My feet are cold even in summer.) It's good hibernating weather here, and I slept several hours between where I left off watching and when I came back. Once upon a time, I think it was Astrobrights (which is a Neenah paper, no?) that offered a paper pack I think they called The Darks. It included black, navy, deep green, pruple, and dark red. I still have some (I've used it to cut envelopes). Wish I could find more. The black you show here is in the cart. 😊

Watched the replay, love your thoughts portion. Also remember going to paper stores in The late 80’s, as a graphic designer I loved getting paper samples, And I remember the salesperson introducing me to Astro Brights and they were so shocking compared to other selections. I’m glad they’re still around and even getting better.
