Adirondack Brook Trout- Black Fly Season
love this little spot!! Another great video
@@Bray-J thank you 😊
What were you using as a dropper ?
@@christophertoland7146 I was using a prince nymph size 12 bead head with a red hot spot. I tie them up like that. At the end of the video I show it. 🎣
@@Adirondacktroutbum yea baby that’s what I’m talking about I hammer the browns on west Canada with those
I ha e the 3/4 weight as well as the premier 9 weight. I love both rods.
Thank you Alvin for all your support and great tips. Get Outside. Simply Fish. and remember to hydrate. :)
Beautiful fish. Nicely done.
Thank you very much!
I need that 5’6” rod, looks awesome. What body of water are you fishing there?
www.jprossflyrods.com/collections/rock-hopper-collection You can find the rod It’s a small cold stream in Central New York.
Awesome fish. I actually helped drill in most of those stones and rebuilt the whole area including some of those waterfall drop offs from the floods like 10 years ago. Glad to see the fish are doing well. Now that I fly fish gotta come back and test it out.
@@rickkoster6644 thank you for the hard work you did on the gorge!
Looked like a great day on the water! Those were some beautiful rainbows, especially that bigger one! I love fishing smaller water like that, half of the fun is the exploring. Thanks for sharing!
Just ordered the apex and avid pro reel can’t wait to try it out let’s hope it cast as good as it looks 👌
Hope you enjoy it!
Nice trout buddy 🤘
Nice catch
Friggin beauty what were you using?
@@spencerlachappelle9893 Dry Dropper
You eat ‘em? Then taste good on the grill
@@Crustaceanking50 I let the wild ones go🎣
@@Adirondacktroutbum why? It’s free food
Nice one
Fish there alot, it's ridiculous how many fish are in there, u can catch fish on nearly every cast... most are small tho
Awesome video mate! I subbed to your channel. All the best from Argentina. Hope to see more videos!
I got a 15" brown out of a much smaller stream the 2nd day I fished a JP Ross Beaver Meadow carbon 6'6" 2/3wt with 2wt line.
All new rod look good quality cheap or expensive what maters how they fish and preform over time if maxcatch we’re sending me stuff for free I would talk it up 😂try getting out and test the casting action of the rods for all to see
Good Collection
I've stopped at that covered bridge several times. There's a nice loop drive with stops at 3 covered bridges, starting at Livingston Manor, then the Beaverkill, then one in Downsville on the east branch of the Delaware. I have a place on the east branch below where the Beaverkill merges into it.

Another great video!!
Today’s budget priced fly gear is good enough to get people into the sport with equipment that will give many years of fishing enjoyment.
Nice😊
Great video bud and a new subscriber from the uk. I’m a big fan of the Maxcatch range myself
Thank you !! I’m checking out your channel!!
I don’t know about escaping the heat, more like having fun in the heat.

Everybody wishes for that trophy fish outing and for proof, to post a picture of the gorgeous fish on some popular public platform... But who, who anywhere can boast of a trout caught that is so ugly it makes Esta from 'Sanford and Son' look like Miss America. Such a fish, such an ugly critter with fins deserves a poem, and a folk song to be written after it. And that makes you, Sir a complete and rare fishin' Hero for giving Stubby this much great notoriety among his kind! Thank you!
Thank you!! Stubby deserves all the credit !!

Those were not my beer cans! 😜. Love that you bring a net full of people’s inconsiderate garbage out as you leave! That’s a great tip for all who really appreciate the beauty of nature!
Dude, that was awesome catch!!! I’m jealous!
Great catch & even better release. Awesome job Alvin
Those JP Ross are amazing

I worked in a fly shop and guided for years. Naturally i was able to test, use and buy some very expensive big name brand rods and reels. I was on a SAGE kick, then i was into some of WINSTONS rods. I bought a lot of rods from HARDY as well as THOMAS & THOMAS & a few others. A few of those rods are special for various reasons. Most of those reason are trips i took them on or BIG Trout i cought using them. The rods and reels from Max catch in many cases are equally as good if not better performers than many of those big name, monster price tag rods. fact!
Really, you did a lot of name dropping, but you gave no details. Particular models, weights or length are not given, you also didn't mention how you used these expensive rod's. Were you nymphing, throwing big streamers, drifting, etc. Given the lack of substance, I'm guessing you're a troll who's never thrown a fly! P.S. Several guides I've crossed paths with do own a few Maxcatch rods and reels, not for their personal use, but for those newbies who are learning the game.
Obviously i struck a nerve. You clearly understood my point as well. Those guides, (many guides) hand the MaxCatch rods & a few other inexpensive rods like the Fenwick Aetos, & others to clients because they want to give them the best experience possible without overspending to do so. I have thrown lines in seven states in fresh & saltwater. This week has been good so far. The Zoo Cougar, Green & Black bead head Wooly buggers have worked really well. We also did well with a Crayfish pattern. Smallmouth love that fly. Two of six Browns over 21” one at 23” Happy clients. Now try to smile and go get in the water. 🙂
They make some phenomenal rods and reels. If they had one of the BIG names on them, the price would be triple or better and people would line up to buy them. The Storm reel is better than some reels i have that cost over four times as much. never mind that the storm has backing, line & leader loaded and ready to rock.
What song is this?
maxcatch that never disappoints me
While I don’t have any, I’ve heard that Simms makes great wading shoes
Nice video. Thank you for sharing. Looks like it was a great time.
Beautiful fish, congratulations.
Awesome brown! Beautiful colors and very healthy looking! You fought him very well too! Nice job and a nice video!
Nice bro where you at?
Peaceful video - I feel like I'm fishing with my uncle or something haha. Sometimes all it takes is one fish!
Thanks for the comments!! Tight lines 🎣
