I think you would see better results if you use Gumout Complete Fuel System Cleaner with PEA in it every 3,000 miles in conjunction with the top tier gas.
Thank you for sharing crazy, there are so many suggestions from Nitro V to techron to fuel additives. I hear good things about gumout's carb cleaner. Appreciate the tip!
I just feel bad that I got this tool from a dude who might have bailed on a deal but left this weird little tool and some other stuff in a trade for a watch, but knowing that someone somewhere really could use one of these things just hits different now adays.
he traded this and some tools for a watch?
Yeah i don't understand why they didn't make the adapter friction fit too instead you have to take the attachment on and off your hose. Stupid shit
@rhauckenrol8962 I personally like the ball detents for a more secure fit. That same airlock system works with their miter saw, circ saw, and even the 3 inch cutoff tool (best on the market right now). Just the pricing that seems kinda steep for some plastic with 3 metal bearings in a plastic collar. You can still try friction fitting
Wazzup with wiping the lens bruh? 🙄 Kudos to shouting out the lack of rubber moulding on the newer batteries. Dumb place for TTI to be doing cost cutting, or eliminating inner brand competition with Milwaukee? Come on Ridgid!!! Peace
that's my intro lol. yeah Ridgid needs more love. The fear is that if ridgid tools do better and have lifetime coverage, TTI will bleed milwaukee sales. The amount of money people have invested to milwaukee means they aren't going to dump it for a new platform but rather to get more money from those already in ridgid. We shall see what they have in store for the future. Thanks for sharing George
@@TOOL_TECHNICAL Thanks for the reply, and You're Welcome! You have good content, Class, and knowledge. 🤝😊
Here's another pro. All those accessories ridgid makes for their corded vacuums works with this 18v cordless vacuum and are readily available at HD. Nice review 👍
that's true! any attachment with the same diameters are compatible, I just didn't mention it because I was focusing on what's in the box (in case people don't wanna spend more). I love this vac and give myself any excuse to use it. Appreciate the kind words kona, thanks for sharing
Worked for me 👌👌 thanks sir
@johnthompson3643 good to hear it John 🥳👍🏼
Did you have any issues with any of the Milwaukee cutters crushing the ends of pipe?
Thanks for the question angel. from what I have seen no, however I did see people complain of it. Given the noticeably higher tension vs ridgid. If the blade is sharp enough, and the user doesnt apply lateral tension while cutting, the risk could be minimized :)
Wonder if the Shell claim means it eliminates 100% if it's a brand new engine using exclusively V nitro 😜 Maybe it's in the small print Disclaimer.... which I've never read. Regardless, it would be good knowing what exact parameters they used to make the Claim...engine type, age, how long the test period was, etc.
At this point, I don’t think they can. It was originally supposed to last for the 1st year. Since then, they have extended it twice. I understand why. They want to cause urgency for consumers..which has worked I’m sure. I agree though, they have done a pretty dam good job of creating tools to legitimately beat Milwaukee in performance and price. They just need to keep it up and release more product.
@gk7588 the innovation between flex and ego is solid. The gimmick of creating false urgency is silly. Imagine if it encouraged milwaukee to increase their warranty to let's say 10 years, or especially dewalt to break out of that 3 year nonsense. As the economy gets worse and inflation takes more root, people are not out here racing to see the 2 or 3 second difference in driving a screw but instead which brand can make durable tools and cover those expensive tools from failure when money is tight.
The same thing happened to mine.started acting up weird after a few months used only a couple times
@fabianledezma4495 too many brands focus on making a lot of tools vs making their current tools solid. Quality control is how we make sure those products are not returned defective! My replacement is still fine as of right now. In the cold I also like giving tires an extra 2-3 psi as they'll deflate overnight. Hope you registered it for the LSA so they can take care of you Fabian. Thanks for sharing 👍🏼
@TOOL_TECHNICAL Klein did make an 11-in-1 that came with the combination #1/2 bits instead of the torx. The model number is 32505. Sadly it was discontinued but it can still be found through resellers online.
@2010jalvarez I know! When I saw the discontinued page (alittle before I made this video) I was shocked they went with torx over combinations but I guess sparkies like the robbies (Robertson/square bits) especially in Canada 🇨🇦 . Either way still glad they sell the bits should people wear through them. Thanks for sharing J
It worked, thanks! Didn't have to drain it completely
glad to hear it gogan! - Work Smart
I have heard and seen the Milwaukee body to head has a slight wiggle. The Dewalt is solid but cost $100 cheaper in MAX vs Fuel. So if your just doing a few connections or a couple jobs here and there I would get the Dewalt. But if your doing daily or weekly use the Milwaukee. Side note: the Dewalt heads are $50 a piece versus Milwaukee is around $80. So, it's nice to know both heads work on both tools.
@MrSki-tyvm i tried 2 of these dce410 dewalts. Both had a separation from the threads to the head when stretching, especially 1 inch and up, which would make a noticeable click like they were under a lot of stress while m12 didn't. They both have value. The dewalt can do more sizes, and the m12 is smaller, lighter, and faster. I'm honestly surprised these two are the only brands making pex expanders
Hey if you were me would you get the dual port charger or get the 6 port charger? The display is easier to read on the dual port imo & it's much less bulky, but I currently have 4 batteries & will end up with more I'm sure. I really wish Ridgid would come out with a 4 port simultaneous charger that would seem to be a great seller. It's a bummer that the big ole 6 port can't charge all at once...heck I'd be cool with 3-4 charging simultaneously! Might go with the dual until they release a new one.
If you only have 4 batteries i'd say the dual charger is the better investment right now. Once you get to over a dozen the six is ideal for "set it and forget". Currently the dual is 89 at home depot but they have a sale for 160 you get the dual charger with two 4 ah and two 2 ah batteries www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-18V-Dual-Port-Simultaneous-Charger-with-2-2-0-Ah-Batteries-2-4-0-Ah-Batteries-AC86095KSBN/320511068 or you can get 2 max output 4 ah batteries with a standard charger and with this deal get the 6 port charger free www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-18V-MAX-Output-Starter-Kit-with-2-4-0-Ah-Batteries-and-Charger-AC8609340SB/328296486 if you do light work and aren't in a rush, take care of your batteries by slow charging them on the standard r86093 charger. happy new year rick (I love rick and morty)
@@TOOL_TECHNICAL Thank you I didn't know about the deal with the dual port charger & 4 batteries I'm looking into that right now Happy New Year as well! Yeah it's one of my favorites to watch lol.
@DoctorRickSanchez aww jeez rick (morty voice) I got both deals. As long as you register for the lifetime service agreement within 90 days of the purchase date, your 18v tools, chargers, and batteries are covered for life
I couldn’t buy any tools yet because I bought a refrigerator instead😭
@Kaleb_RoSs still a good investment! I gotta chill with spending but I saw festool has an robot exoskeleton for lifting. 4000 ish bucks but has a compressor built in. Pressure builds and senses when you lift then articulates to match. I don't think it's perfect but still really cool as a concept.
Shell v power nitro plus is all I run these days
@Chad-wk2pm glad you have something you feel works for you chad. Hopefully the fuel prices where you live are fair so you get the most bang for your buck
Have a blessed year my brother ❤
to you as well man, if I could learn even 5% of the stuff you've shared through your videos, Experience and skills are more valuable than gold :)
i wish i saw this video first... i totally destroyed my gear box and bump head.. I am having to order a new gear box and bump head form ryobi. the string was jammed up and i couldnt open it.. it was so stuck. i did review some videos but did not see this one.
Don't beat yourself up, every day is a chance to learn! The good thing is you didn't just throw the tool away and more important didn't throw in the towel and just hire someone. These can be frustrating but removing alittle material as I showed makes all the difference while that inner spring helps hold good tension. Just keep the bearing properly lubed and take care of your tool so it will take care of you :)
Came for the Ryobi tool review, now I'm strangely compelled to buy a telescopic camera now.
As I say in many of my videos, gotta get that ZOOM IN ACTION
It’s not a Cake my guy
don't think you got to the end of the video but at 22:40, I indeed state I'm purposefully moving more material to not only test it's ability to move material but also test the anti drip. when you let go of the trigger the plunger should back off to stop the tube from continuing to dispense :)
@ I’m just trolling Srry man Good video

@@TOOL_TECHNICAL just being a dik 🫡 What would you say then this ones ok or pos?
Great review friend, thank you.
@Volkovic7013 appreciate the kind words volk! I love this vac, was cleaning off the carbon build up on a 5 burner stove with it a couple days ago. I honesty give myself any excuse use this vac it's awesome. My only issue is I wish they made the battery port a bit wider to fit their biggest battery the 12 ah max output exp. Apparently the laser welded frames sink even more heat which would also be good for the ridgid inverter from the video I did recently
@TOOL_TECHNICAL i feel like I'm gonna use mine for everything lol
I'm just wondering where Shell V-Power is costing $5 a gallon? It's like $3.19 here where I live. Regular 87 octane is $2.59, and mid-grade 89 octane is $2.79 a gallon.
@@LeadStarDude enjoy it
@TOOL_TECHNICAL Enjoy it? Those prices are actually high for this region. The last time Trump was in office, regular 87 octane was only $1.57. Hopefully, he will get it back down to that within a couple of years. I was just wondering where that price is so high so I can avoid that region like it has the plague. Make sure I don't plan any vacations in that direction.
I just got this today and I am comparing it with the Milwaukee....it's not as loud, so that's a good sign. If Flex would release some kind of theft protection to this as an add on, then I can take it to the job site. In the mean time, it would just sit at home. Speaking of quality control, I did pick up a narrow crown stapler at Lowe's and that thing was having misfires and it kept bending the staples. I ended up picking a Metabo HPT stapler and that boy is tiny and shoots flawlessly.
thanks for sharing proxy, i hear good things about metabo. as for theft, fasten it to a spot in view at all times or if outside to the tailgate of your truck. things that size have no real safety other than flex inventing maybe a chip inside that can "freeze" the tool with an app that can report it stolen. If you've seen my other flex videos I complain about the ones I got from lowes as there were issues. for the crown stapler i'd try another brand of staples to confirm that the staples are not the issue (same with nailers where some nail brands work better than others without jams). otherwise it's flex so assuming you registered the tools within 30 days it's a lifetime warranty so they will fix or replace it for you.
Seems like a good idea to use this fuel from new so that you don't get the carbon deposits in the first place.
@Fergatron71 it does claim to avoid build up. If the financial/time investment is viable to the owner, go for it. I hear good things about techron fuel as well but it's not available near me
@@TOOL_TECHNICAL I think it might save you money in the long run. Possibly...
Just bought one of these as the one that was on the toilet when I bought the house started leaking. I bought this same one and the POS leaked from the black plastic nut and below the cylinder! How can they even sell this junk.
@mac11th I agree mac, if ptfe tape and pipe dope are needed they should be included out of the box. Some people do say it works I'm assuming it may for VERY SMALL water hammers. I'd solder in real sized arrestors to fix the problem correctly and replace them every X amount of years depending on when they start showing signs of wear
This worked for me. I had two green lights on a battery and it would not charge. I put it on the Ryobi hot melt glue gun and the circular saw for 1 minute times until only one green light was showing. Put the battery on the charger and it's charging fine.
Glad to hear it worked out :)
The problem i see with your test is egr. As stated below ive been running the best fuel available to me for a long time. But what stood out to me is. Some trips to the track were over 2 days and comming back home at night. Meaning running 2 days of wot basically. Even driving home through Germany the car stayed pretty wide open or about 100mph . Came home and my exhaust tips, on the inside, went from the usual black to a verry light rust color. This darkened again after a few shorter trips. Telling me egr still will ruin a bit of the good work your premium fuel is doing. Also contributing to your cleaning proces would be verry short oil change intervals. Like every 1000 miles untill you get pretty much clean oil when you are draining the car. Mine has never been black or anything close to it. A darker brown has been seen but this was after a 2 day stint about doubling my miles 😅
@glennverdeyen5685 for the average driver id say 3-5000 miles between oil changes (with a new filter) but yes you can shorten intervals if you notice your vehicle heats /cooks your oil more than usual. I'm not a fan of conventional oil so I'd say 3-5 k miles or 1 year (whichever comes first) with synthetic oil
@TOOL_TECHNICAL For a stock car I agree with you whole the way
Im from Europe and own a 2014 Audi S3. Bought the car used under 4000miles and it has now 31000 miles and from about 6000miles and up its been running Shell V-power 100 mostly and all other fuel used was either also 100 from the pump or from a can. The car is bone stock ecu wise and has intake mods and an intercooler. Things just made 341hp and 319 pound ft . After more the 4 years of hard track use. So make bank on it maintenance and good fuel is key to having a healthy engine. Oil changes have been done about every 700 miles. Soon ill be adding an oilcooler which means the intake has to come of the car. Im looking forward to making a little video of the inside of the engine. Mabe ill try gettig a camera in the combustion engine . But from the hp numbers id say its pretty clean 😅
@glennverdeyen5685 hope it all goes well, here between rust, cold weather, and parts needing to be ordered it can all go very well or very wrong 😭
@TOOL_TECHNICAL wish you luck, I am blessed no real winter to speak of and the good cars stay indoors when there's salt on the road 😅

I have the DeWALT (DCS438). The trigger is not variable but it totally rips! RIDGID would be my next choice for sure. The Milwaukee M12 3” cut-off tool just can’t compare.
That dewalt with the powerstack is next level emmett, worth every penny. I was most bummed ridgid didn't offer dust collection. I have asthma so particulate extraction is huge for me. and yeah the m12 was a let down for many but the m12 line is solid overall with several specialty tools like their rotary, pipe shear, and cordless ratchets.
Yeah, I think it’s just a class of tool that really benefits from more voltage than M12 can provide and isn’t hurt too much by the extra bulk.
@@emmettturner9452 If the m18 fuel version drops it will sadly be over 200 bucks most likely. gotta pay the red tax
Yeah. …and since the RIDGID version is also made by TTI, who makes Milwaukee, I have to wonder if the M18 version would be notably improved. 🤷♂️
@@emmettturner9452 Technically AEG is making the tools with the "Ridgid" name being licensed from Emerson to TTI for US sales. I would like to think TTI is sharing tool technology through the brands the same as the RP brushless impact from craftsman looks suspiciously like the dewalt 845 but red. Makes sense to not waste materials and if I can get my hands on Ridgid tools with milwaukee tech at Ridgid prices WITH LSA coverage, I would not mind supporting that direction.
N[CE.
Always love the attention to details you have.
appreciate it Kaleb. That's why my family calls me "too technical" it's where the name came from, just added an L so people looking for tool videos find me easier lol. Sorry if I yap i know people like short form content but it's kinda hard to cram it into a youtube short.
Got my whole kit for $20 total and no need for any grease to add at ends as mine is the upgraded version that grabs the valve cores firmly! Came with 10x R134a valves (Low pressure) & 10x R12 valves (High Pressure), 8 extra caps and 20 o-ring rubber seals + extra removal tool with carrying case ... Worth every penny! 😁
@@Trump-The-GREATEST from the same brand? And the grease isn't necessary just a tip for those with stubborn valve cores
Does anyone know if the battery controller boards are preventing battery from charging until the batteries drop below 30% - 20%? This could be something cooked into the battery controller circuit board to increase the batteries life time. I would like to know if there is a certain voltage that the batteries are at before they start charging? Thanks for the video.
THANK You !!!!! It’s worked for me
@freshmeat3552 no worries meat, we can always use a fresh start :)
Excellent review! Very natural. Love the close up shots! More information about handle material and weight (feels lightweight or quite heavy), how is the handle made (with metal lining or one piece aluminum), pivot bearing material (nylon washers or metal) would be very helpful. Thank you for your time in making this VDO. Thanks for sharing!❤👍
appreciate the feedback. The dewalt is textured plastic unlike the milwaukee which is much smoother plastic (i like the tactile feeling better). the weight is no heavier than a basic screwdriver and feels very premium. I like tools that don't feel like they're gonna break easily. Both models have no flex in the handles so laying force into tougher materials is no issue but of course don't put any lateral tension on the blade as any blade will snap with enough side load. the handle seems to be heavy duty plastic with metal screws/inserts. the bearing is inside the head of the knife securely screwed to the handle instead of cheap knives that have bearings in the handle and adding the blade head to it. I'm not positive on the bearing but given dewalt used a variant of ball bearing on the tanto knives i'd assume they used something similar here. An overall good blend of metal and plastic. Too much metal = heavy but too much plastic = cheap/vulnerable. Hope that helps :) ~ Work Smart

It’s early Christmas for you Sir! I am happy for you! Most people would only share bad experiences with their customer service. You’re a good man! Thanks for sharing!❤👍
@hanumarn7882 for sure ! Gotta give credit where it is due. Good or bad I gotta keep it honest :)
If you are going to compare apples to apples, compare the DCE410 to the Milwaukee version that can also handle 1-1/2" tubing.
@danpidde9729 really doesn't matter here, the m18 non-fuel is 1000 bucks and the dewalt is only able to beat it with a 5 ah battery with one size. The fuel m18 expander is 1800 and even faster. There's nothing unfair here. Even the m12 fuel is faster but given the stress of 1" to 1-1/2" I'd leave it to the dewalt for versatility. If you're in a rush any of the milwaukees will do as well.
i need to replace the entire head assembly with a new one. ANyone know where to find that?
@HamSandwich07 If you mean just the easy reel/bump assembly replacement, you'll get it at home depot www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-REEL-EASY-Bump-Feed-String-Head-with-Speed-Winder-AC053N1BFH/311264918
I’ve been using it several months now and I used to lose about a quart of oil between changes at 5000 miles. Last oil change interval I lost no oil. My conclusion is it’s freed a ring so I’m not getting blow by. I drive a lot of highway miles for work so I probably do more miles than most. It may take longer for others to see a change. I also use gum out injector cleaner each oil change
@tellit_one3613 preventative maintenance goes miles compared to fighting when mechanics have to charge you the harsh prices to repair
