Layoffs have impeccable timing. When you're about to move, or after you make a big purchase. Or even plan a big trip and put the deposit down or book an airplane. Then you show up Monday just for your boss to tell you to take a hike. I honestly am afraid to do anything, move to another place, or even go on vacation, because I'm afraid that the layoff God's will strike right when I make any real moves
