Buy the CHEAPEST BASE MODEL 2022 Wrangler!
This week we are reviewing one of the entry-level Jeep Wranglers, the 2022 Jeep Wrangler Willy's Sport.
This car has a few options added, like the automatic transmission, and the paint color, but it's still one of the cheaper wranglers money can buy.

    I own a 2012 with 86,000 miles. I love the car, but I have had to spend a good amount of money on it. $2,000 computer module and over $6,000 on a rebuilt transmission! And yes, I have done ALL the maintenance on it! Transmission services on time, water pump, timing belt. You name it!

    Just bought a 2013 white with red leather interior w/ 42,000 miles 2.0 engine we’ve only had it a couple weeks but so far really like it. As far as oil consumption my mechanic who worked at a be dealer for around 14 years told me to change the oil at 5000 not the 10000 that the computer says so that’s what I’ve always gone with my other cars this car was extremely well maintained and taken care of I’m hoping for years of enjoyment.

    What does one expect in a back seat? Our Forester does not have vents in back. Those need to be dropped in price 20-30% depending on model. I hear the engine is good from some, trouble from others. Price still being too high, I’d only consider Base. Roadtrips aren’t hurt by manual windows and locks. Less to break is nice. I only care about heated seats, but you can get aftermarket one for driver installed for $500. Power is, too. If desired.

    I just bought my first Jeep Wrangler a 2023 4-door Willys with a stick and all manual windows and locks. I also drive a 2022 loaded Charger Scatpack. And I got to say there's no other experience like sitting high in a Jeep Wrangler seat and tooling down the road. It's nice to be able to transient back in time with the Jeep, before power everything and remote start as well.

    The used Willys is the best value for the price you get, Rubicon suspension, minus springs, Rubicon axles, and larger brakes. $500. to $600. payments. Anything else and your pushing $1000. to $1200. a month payments. A 392 payment will be over 2000. a month.

    I have an 07 with manual everything. Love it, only thing i want different is automatic windows. When they fog in the morning on the way to work it can get a bit dangerous. Ultimately if you aren't planning on modding it to hell and taking it offroad in the environments it was built to be in, a wrangler just isn't the best option in its class, something more economical and reliable with independent suspension will suit you much better for on road driving. Value is up to the buyer and what specific applications they plan on using it for.

    You test a soft top and complain about the noise, you run M/T's in the rain and on pavement and complain about the traction and noise. Mines a 2022 hardtop and it's surprisingly quiet and the stock M/T's do just fine in the dirt and reasonable on pavement. 10,000 miles with zero problems and 75% of those are in the dirt. Let me also add that you never even mentioned the drive system or suspension. I'll give the JLU Sport Willy's a solid 4, your review a 0.

I take my Lexus out once a week and love the luxury, but it doesn’t beat the enjoyment factor I get from driving my Wrangler… funny everything other people complain about the wrangler, I totally enjoy. Also the love you get from other Jeep wrangler owners, nothing compares.

  • @jimmyvalhalla1939
    @jimmyvalhalla1939 Год назад

    The base model is great, but you need to do some math before you take the plunge.. What are you gonna do with it? Daily commuter? Camping? Then, the base is perfect.. more serious off roading will need lockers (and a winch, but any jeep will need a winch) and probably lower gears. ARB airlocker's are over $1000 each, plus gears, and labor, plus you're probably gonna go ahead with chrome moly axles too...and you're gonna need a compressor too. If you have a D35 in the rear, that is kind of like polishing a turd. The front D30 is actually pretty good..... All said and done, you're gonna have $5k in upgrades unless you scrap the 35 for a 44, then keep digging in that wallet. So, how much more is a stripped down Rubi with its locked 44's front and rear and a lower tc?

    I have a two door 2.0L Turbo Willys Sport 2023 model, and it's absolutely awesome. So funny to hear when people complain about something over and over again and eventually convincing others that there something is actually wrong. And the most widespread Wrangler hoax is that the vehicle has low reliability. LOL. Search for used Wranglers and see how much they depreciate over time. But Wranglers are expensive, and Willy's Sport is probably the most reasonable trim in terms of price. Above this trim, you pay arm and leg for many things that you don't really need.

    I'm a 2015 Eos Komfort owner, originally in NY, and now driving it in TN approaching 90K miles. I throughly enjoy the car and in TN, I can drive with the top down about 9 months in a year. I did do some comfort upgrades that VW should have done, at least with some of these items. I replaced the base trim GPS with the Executive trim to get real time traffic monitoring. Added two tweeters in the front doors to have ten speakers instead of the eight that came with the base trim. Also added garage door open funtionality, a wireless charger pad, and a rear camera, all looking like it was factory installed. For fun, I added ghost lights in the doors with VW logos. i always lubriated the convertibale seals and never had the oil issues mentioned in this video. My leatherette drive seat show signs of stress tears but my local VW service center recommended a car upholstery they use and they made the repairs and you can't tell that anything was wrong. Otherwise, no major repairs since I owned the car, just maintenace. Great car!

They needed to be cleaned out after 80k miles when the check engine light came on.

      I'm pretty sure the shape and structure of all Wrangler seats are the same. The difference in trims are the seat covers. Ditto the Jeep Gladiator which are Wrangler seats except the Gladiator Mojave trim does has additional side bolstering. Frankly none of them are particularly comfortable. That said this is an extremely capable off-road vehicle, not a luxury car.
