It was a head gasket the machine was out of warranty but only had like 680 hrs. They worked with us on the cost had the job done in 4 days.

Yes I would say it's possible something has potentially failed in the lower portion of the joystick. Assuming all other controls are functioning when you are in digging mode and everything is functional when you are in loader mode you have isolated it to the joystick itself. I suggest giving JCB a call I bet they can connect you with someone in the shop that might be able to trouble shoot for you. I'm not sure on the cost to replace the entire assembly.

-12 3/4” four wire hose and 3/4” o-ring face female fittings. One straight and one 90.

To apply this product you'll only be able to use a brush maybe a roller too. I would not recommend painting brick

yes it was $175.00 from KTI directly I think it makes a huge difference having the ability to pull forward while dumping especially with these trailers they lack clearance to the ground while dumping which limits your ability to stack the material into a neat pile.

You can use this product on exterior applications as well however you'd need a square footage as this kit only does about 4'x8'. I would not use any other products/paints this is specifically designed to allow the brick to breathe

Yeah I think it was an issue from assembly or shortly there after. I guess its somewhat common in the C3.3 motor. They had the machine back to me within 5 days which was great. Still waiting on billing for what I owe.

Yeah specifically on that one everything you see can be unthreaded/ disassembled from the top down. In theory if you have enough room to work you can just leave it inside the machine connected to the feed lines. I chose to completely remove it to clean and inspect. If you are having trouble finding replacement parts the O-rings on the plungers is what is the failure point so if you can match them up you can just replace them instead of the whole plunger unit. In my case Doosan only specifies to the plunger unit not the O-ring.

I'm also about to do this on my TL130. This question is for @ProfessionalHomeowner since you have a similar machine. I'm just wondering what your symptoms were on your machine. Mine seems to have a very sensitive curl function and it wanders at higher RPMs. I'm hoping this can solve the issue. Any help/tips would be appreciated.

I'm just guessing but the sensitivity in the function may have to do with a hydraulic valve body that diverts the fluid to the specific function you are engaging. Could be something up with it. Are you noticing hydraulic fluid on/around the base of the control?

@@WalnutsandWineberries I didn’t have any issues with controlling the function however hydraulic fluid was leaking badly… which slowed down the reaction time of the controls but they did not wonder or become sensitive. Have you done a hydraulic fluid flush? Also, be careful when your removing any of the lines, valves and plungers they are specific to each function. The orientation of the joystick is specific as well. Good luck.

@@TylerBemis I haven't disassembled it yet. I didn't notice anything when I did the initial oil change when I got the machine a while back. This helps though. I'll do a proper inspection and try to trace those lines back and inspect that area too. Thanks for getting back to me.

are they saying you shouldn't speed transition while under power? I do it all the time

Just happened with my son. He was running in Rabbit and turned and bam it exploded. However, just like in the video, those lines were rubbing for some time... poor design there. I'm thinking of putting some sort of polymer there kinda like pvc or something to keep them from rubbing. Maybe I could wrap rubber around them at the entry point.

I'm not sure what you mean by pto. I was able to disconnect all the lines that were in the way and the broken one using a medium sized adjustable wrench.

I didn't even ask the parts alone were expensive. I only had to have them come out one time under warranty to reset something with the computer. Other then that both my skid steer and mini have been very reliable approaching 1000 hrs on both.

I just paid 900 to have 2 of those replaced. Labor and parts.

im not sure on that. The control did have some markings on it but no company stamp

I got it directly from the dye brick website they shipped it very quickly and for a fair price from the UK

if you search hydraulic joystick plunger caps you might be able to match up what you need. They come in different sizes depending on the manufacture of the joystick assembly.

you can do one function at a time by closing the quick connector shut offs. This is something you have to do manually outside the machine but you can use this bucket in a fixed position and control the thumb if you wanted.

you can grab them with a pair of pliers and pull them out its that simple.

Is your specific machine a Caterpillar? And do you know if it is wired with a 14 pin connector next to your accessory hydraulic bank? Assuming it is you shouldn't have to do anything on this specific model to utilize the two accessory buttons. your left hand joystick has 2 accessory buttons which is what I wired this connector for and the other two are your horn and creeper mode activate.

@@TylerBemis yes it’s a 2018 Cat 259d and yes has the 14 pin plug but after some talking to a cat dealer friend they said some don’t get programmed from the factory in the ecm to make those 2 buttons work?

​@@drewolps that could be possible. If that's the case and its programming with the ECM I'd imagine they can override it because you would never be able to operate any hydraulic attachments that have more then 1 function.

you'll love it since I have to stop to have someone undo the coupler or jump out and do it myself I have never even used my non tilting grading bucket. I always just throw this one on the 2 hydraulic lines just take an extra second and its much more useful!

They retail for around 3,600 depending on where you order from. I haven't even gotten to use it yet will post result when I do !

It sounds like the right plunger on the right joystick is getting stuck. Each plunger is spring loaded so if its binding and no longer springing back into position it could be causing inconsistent performance. What’s the make and year is the machine?

This isn't a tilt rotator the bucket does 45 degrees to the left and right it only tilts it doesn't rotate. You'd want to look into a Rototilt/Engcon/Steelwrist for that application. With a pin grabber style coupler which the CAT machines generally use you can install the bucket backward and use it as a front shovel if you wanted.

hey Johnny when I got the bucket while purchasing my machine it was around 3K if I remember right. I looked into the tilting coupler specifically the Helac however it was going to require additional accessory lines be run and complicated running a hammer or other hydraulic attachments. I'm not sure where you are digging but I was concerned about how well the tilting coupler would hold up dealing with rocks. Either route you choose having the capacity to tilt especially when grading is really great!
