i went through this exact situation with my ottb, i had been through 3 saddles but have now thankfully got one that fits him super nice. I use a wintec on my ottb (not the most expensive and fancy saddle ik) however they are super adjustable especially if you're trying to muscle him up or if you're trying to put some weight on him. This has been pretty much the only saddle that has fitted my boy perfectly and is now super happy while being ridden, not to mention how affordable they are!

ur a lucky duck to have him i have an ex racer thoroughbred and he is so sweet. i used to have a chesnut but he was sold he was also an ex racer i miss him sm!! my thoroughbred is called bertie and he is bay to!! he is the sweetest and my little pocket rocket he is 16,2 hands and he loves a hack xx

Why is he so skinny?you probably need to feed him more food
Racehorses are on the skinnier side but its part of the breed. Search up Thoroughbred and you will see what the breed looks like.
@@LukeBarnt no he’s actually rather healthy at the moment, thoroughbreds are a more naturally thin breed x

@@equKatie LOL if you think that's fast you'd be appalled at how quick they come past me sometimes. I actually think his speed was fine didn't look faster than 10mph which is what the highway code says.

He is a very pretty horse, and has a nice shiny coat. But he is awfully thin! I know he’s a thoroughbred, but that doesn’t mean he is naturally thin. I think he just needs more food.❤😊
I appreciate the concern, his food has already been increased/changed and it does take a while for them to put back on the weight they lose.
@@JJWEquestrian it’s possible that his cribbing habit contributes to his being underweight. I know a lot of horses who crib as badly as him don’t gain weight very easily.
@@susanvuturo4361 he is gaining weight very nicely, plus he's always cribbed since before I got him, thanks for the concern though
