In some Southern US states, between 1920 and 1940, an African-American slang word for the vagina was cock, possibly derived from cockles; a cock-opener was a penis. There are many vinyl LPs which contain rereleases of these types of songs, known broadly as Hokum Blues - 'Race' songs which were just as dirty or dirtier than anything released today. Yazoo Records releases alot of vinyl LPs of these songs, such as "Please Warm My Weiner" by Bo Carter. There are albums from them devoted entirely to Bo Carter. Many such artists. Back in the 20s and into the 40s these songs were released for black audiences, but many found their way in white hands (much to the dismay of some). I have three albums of such collections, although many more are available.

I discovered Lucille Bogan's songs a few years agp, and have been looking at other YT video commentaries about "Til the Cows Come Home', and "Shave me Dry". Many are confused by her use of the word "cock" - as if SHE had one. And the late Bernard Wright... the Texas Tech guy... was one of the early influencers of the band. Check out his solo on the song "Take It" from this session/album.
