You didn't mention one of the best early game wealth generators. Fish! You buy all of the Pike, Trout, and Roach from vendors and roast them. You can then sell the roasted fish meat back for more than you bought the fish for. You can also do this again every season as merchants refill their wares and wallets. This is an easy and fast way to get large backpacks and pouches on day 1 of a new game. P.S. Donkeys are better than horses.

I mostly used poppy to decorate the village in earlier versions. They do look pretty.

Even in video games we forget about the old and aged people. Like this guy says, when recruiting, try to go younger and not older. It happens in real life. You know... the game looks cool but seems we need to study it to learn how to even play, my god.

I was intrigued about this review until you literally said "dot dot dot". Uhhhh... are you literally reading from a script that told you to say "dot dot dot"? Why would you say that? The ellipses is literally to denote a pause. No one in their right mind says "dot dot dot". Did a robot read this? It's just doesn't make any sense (dot dot dot).

Here's a tip, shooting bows or crossbows seems (to me. Anyway) more accurate in first person. Judging by the opening clip, maybe it'll help you.

The best tip is to not worry about rotations. There’s no system in the game where you can change your crops. The best thing you can do is prepare the fields for the next harvest or wait until the crops are harvested. EXAMPLE: I planted 25 flax, 25 cabbage and 50 oats by myself in Spring. Then 50 cabbage in Summer. If I select another crop or clear it out in the management tab, the farmers will clear it. So I need another field for carrots and more 50 fields for flax and grain, two for each. And I want to relocate the oats and change the field to something else before Spring. Because oats can only be planted in Spring, I can change the field as it’s being fertilized. This is so much better than doing it myself.

Idk about you guys, but I think I fell in love with how this feels like it's Skyrim without the fantasy, it's like a history channel take on it or something 😅

My problem when I first started was building too fast and building cheap houses that deteriorate quickly. Also having to use the management screen more often than not. Dealing with all that had me creating a new game and doing things very differently and slowly just like his video says. Unfortunately saw this video today and would have been a huge help if I saw it when I was first starting my build. These videos have helped me tremendously… All that said, went back to my first build and putting it in order the way it should be.

The main advice I was looking for is how many heads do you keep in your heard per clan members so that you can have a decent income while not overwhelming your daily task with poop collection.

Mushrooms are important, especially your first year or two, but don’t go overboard. They are a low desirability food item, so your clanfolk will only eat them as a last resort. They never go bad as long as they’re kept dry, and nobody will ever trade for them. What this means in practice is that they’re going to take up space in your shelves and baskets forever unless you go out of your way to get rid of them. That’s not a big deal if you only have a few hundred, but if you have 1000+ sitting around, that’s a lot of space that could be used for better things.

I learned the last tip yesterday. I was like why are you fertilizing when I have a field already fertilized and ready to go for you to plant rye. I even had the other fields marked as clear in the management area. When she was done for the day of the last day of the season I ended up planting the rye and I was short about 15 spots before it changed seasons :/ Wish there is a way I can choice what fields she works on while ignoring the ofher fields 😬

Worst thing is the clueless community treating this game like the next coming of Jesus, when in reality its just a random vendor Jesus has passed by in Nazareth. Defninition of all show and no go, only thing its got going is the Unreal engine graphics. Has the "wide as an ocean but deep as a puddle" syndrome. Devs are trash, game is shallow and incomplete, community is SUPER ignorant. You could ask a specific question on reddit or forums and get multiple conflicting answers because a lot of people say they love this game literally has no idea how even basic mechanics work. Imagine if Keen actually finished Medieval Engineers, would at least be better than this UE demo...

interesting. we have separate views on the night. i often tell people not to waste the night time and get things done that you dont need daylight for or fast complete resources that are piling up when NPCs cant complete them quick enough. It is true that you dont get tech points when ur villagers are asleep but you can still get stuff down quicker at night and save daytime for tasks that require you being able to see, like building and field placement. though if you have access to night vision potions thats not an issue either.

Tip 5: how do you get the stats for recruits to hover over their heads??

Funny, I've just started a new game on the New Map and that's what I've realized: take your time and let time pass! I would also add: build your 1st settlement as a small test +. That way, if you're unsatisfied after several hours and building, you can always start a new one elsewhere on the map with better plans in head.

I know it's been about a year since you last did a video for Medieval Dynasty and I recently bought the game. Wish I would have seen this earlier on but it has given me inspiration a bit of knowledge on how the game works. Thanks for that. I was wondering, being a content creator and the recent updates at the latter part of 2023, do you happen to see where MD will go from here? I like this game and come to enjoy it and now have to redesign my village a bit seeing what you did. Which is fine, half the fun for me is building and doing some of these things and slow and steady wins the race. I would love to see what the future holds for the game if you know where I could look. The road map is out of date now.
