We love all things that involve traditional archery. Most of our time is spent making traditional archery supplies and/or shooting.
We hope to bring you informative videos that will help you meet your archery goals and entertain you along the way.

Maybe I missed it, but what weight is your bow?
What size ?
I just de discovered your videos very interesting, thanks for sharing
Works of art brother.
I like it
Any advice! Is the polyurethane finish good on acrylic colours?
Nice to see you again! Nice video😁
Where do you get your arrow boxes?
Wow that's a lot of clear 8 coats
I used the Crest lac white to crown dip my arrows. I did 3 coats of Dalys profin on the arrows before dipping. The white Crest lac dried with spider cracks on it. Do you know why this happened?
Hey! And he is back! Welcome back and thanks for this very informative video
A good idea is to mark the shafts to orient your point with the grain of shaft!
I will have to start using acetone because I've lost a few points inside 3-d targets! Also, I struggle with getting the point on straight sometimes. There is some skill involved!
Wow ! You’re a true craftsman!
Thank you for watching.
What glue are you using?
Duco cement. It is available on my website. You can also find the glue bottle there.
I have a question do you have any experience with spining footed shafts?
Yes. I used to make them. They are a lot of work and beautiful when done.
Love your videos
@@nathansmith5331 thank you.
Thanks you for these videos
@@AlecMcCaskill Thanks for watching
Great video
Brilliant video. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I see you are using CA glue on the vanes and Duco on the feather. Any reason for not using Duco on both?
@@HonestDoubter I’m testing out the CA so I can answer some questions on its durability. More to come.
They look great!
@@PaulBiediger thank you.
Awesome detail in your vids man!
Glad you like them!
@@addictivearchery1123 love to see you upload more vids. Also thanks for the sweet string I ordered for my Hill style bow last month. Will be buying more strings from you!
@@EthanPageHunter sounds good. I should be in the shop more after Elk season.
It's wonderful to see you after so many years. I live in Turkey. We are waiting for more videos. 😊
More to come! Thank you for watching.
I learn a lot from your videos. Thanks so much for these valuable instructions.
Happy to hear that!
I am sure CCR did not approve the use of the song
Are you taking custom orders again?
@@williamgorman6064 not until later in the winter after hunting season is over.
@@addictivearchery1123 I've been wanting to get wood arrows from you for a while! I'm getting a new bow this year from Big Jim. Probably wont get an opportunity to hunt this fall with it because its delivery will probably be mid to late Oct and I don't want to switch bows mid deer season. My goal will be to start getting wood arrows tuned up around Dec/January. Do you think you will be up and running around then?
@@williamgorman6064 yup. Let me know when you get the bow so we can confirm all the specs. Hopefully I’ll get more wood shafts in by then. 🤞🤞
Curious have you ever experimented with glow in the dark paints with your arrows? Been curious about that
I have but over time, the glow gets shorter. I like adding pearl or metal flake to make them reflective. Thanks for watching
Nicely done Andy!
Many thanks!
How do you make sure you have adequate surface area to get the stability you need? Are these two correlated or do you just need a little something at 12/4/8 to provide stability when the arrow is in flight?
@@VoteDent if your arrow is the right spine you can shoot smaller feathers. I can get good flight with no feathers when tuned correctly and shooting field points. After that you need just enough feather to stabilize a Broadhead.
@@addictivearchery1123 thank you sir
Those True Shaft archery arrows are pretty great, got onto the 23/64 size shafts kind of by error but man they shoot well out of my bow
23/64 are my favorite.
Great series!
Thanks for sharing this great information welcome back.
I'm impressed with your shaft tapering rig. Not the nock or point one, which plenty of people do.
Welcome back!
Thanks for sharing this information
My pleasure
Thank you so much, Andy! 😊 I'm so happy I found this series. You explain everything so well. I have learned so much from this. I started watching your intro video and a little of Episode 2. I'm going to watch the whole series! 😊 I looked at your website and gallery. Everything is very impressive! Thanks again! David 😊
Glad it was helpful!
Anyone have a link to the types of clips he uses for attaching the arrows to? I have been looking but haven't found the exact model.
look up "delicate clothing pins".
A very useful and informative tutorial many thanks.
Thank you for watching.
Very useful video 🐵🐻😊👍
Thank you for watching
Thank you
My pleasure
for me ash works best ,straight grain, looks nice and tools nice with a shooting board
Hands down the absolute best/detailed arrow-building video series I have seen on RUclips!
Thank you for watching. Stay tuned for more
Very good informative video. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hello again, Andy. I just put a pair of cat whiskers on the string of my takedown recurve, following your procedure to the letter. The only problem I had-unfortunately it was a significant one-was wrapping the strips of "whiskers" around the string. The springy rubber kept unwrapping, no matter what I tried. As a result, my "foundation" for the rest of the installation was uneven and loose. The resulting "spheres" of rubber strands certainly deaden the sound of the string, but they look sloppy and ugly. Did I do something wrong? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Best, Chris
If your cat whiskers are stiff, I will fold the bands of whiskers around the string instead of rolling them. You just need to get them flat against the string so when you tie them on, the knot applies pressure and makes them "puff". HTH
Folding is a great alternative, and I'll use it the next time I encounter this problem. Thanks for your help!

Hi, Andy. In my not-very-humble opinion, though this video is six years old, your method of installing cat whiskers is the best on RUclips. This is due in no small part to your use of the Constrictor Knot, which my sailing-enthusiast uncle taught me more than 50 years ago. I've used it hundreds of times ever since-in a wide variety of situations‚ and I think it deserves far more exposure and popularity. In any event, the nice, round shape that results from your cat-whiskers installation method looks great and performs really well. Thanks, Chris (in Maine)
Thank you.
Beautifully crafted arrows. Well done.
The "do not try this at home" is not because you shouldn't try this at home its so he doesn't get sued when a dumbass burns his house down.
A video you can smell!
