Tourists think that Colombia is so dangerous that even educated rich tourist people from the west that are tanned skin are seen to be thieves and you will see white tourist seeing you as a threat. Even some locals fear you.

Great Video. Having been to Colombia many times your advice is spot on. However, I love Colombia as there is so much to see in do there. Also Colombians in general are very friendly and have great hospitality. I always feel like a rock star there.

Don’t wear shorts or Sandals in Medellin

Take your bank apps off your phone and do transfers etc on your computer in your hotel room or Airbnb

Colombia has a level 3 travel advisory (Ukraine has 4) . American and European tourists are being robbed left and right. If you go to the police, you get laughed at. Don't go there and spend your precious money until they have reforms to protect tourists.

I been going for 10 years there is so much to do there and places to go. Probably the best place for the what it cost. to bad it continues to get so popular it keeps getting more expensive but still very affordable.
