“Think like a stencil”…does that make any sense?! Hope you try to make your own stencils and post your results!
Hi Tammy. I like both of those examples, with a baby Wipe and with modeling paste through the stencils. Another great idea for homemade cards for friends.
Gloria,do you own any gelatos?
Did you coat the illustration board with wax before adding the alcohol inks? These are beautiful!
I'd like to see some Abstract Art Large Scale
You sealed the bottles but left the bowl of alcohol next to your torch lol
Just for video purposes! Please keep your alcohol away from your torch!
The Artists' Association of Elk Grove Village had my friend, Mary Kay, as a guest demo showing collage. This was a collage method that was taught to both of us by Laura Lein-Svencner. She has online as well as in person classes and her website is www.lauralein-svencner.com. If you're interested in learning more, check out her site. She's a fabulous teacher! I really enjoyed your card making video. Much more finished looking than what I usually do. It was helpful to see the process.
Glad it was helpful! I would love to see you do one! Even better would be to use your napkins in a collage!
That was very informative. Thank you
Glad it was helpful! hope you try it yourself!
Beautiful and so many different ways to use them! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! Hope you try some techniques yourself!
Sorry that I'm off screen for a couple of shots! I obviously need to work on my video and editing skills! Thanks for being patient.
That wheel tool is a dressmakers' pattern tracer, they also sell plastic versions for fondant
Deanna Kriger Thanks for letting me know what that tool is! It makes sense since I think I found it in my mother’s sewing box!
@@tammyhaman6348 Quite welcome, wanted to say loved the vid, I'm an experience artist but new to encaustic and really enjoyed it, it would be nice to see some more advanced techniques, there is so much more than just image transfers and shellac burn!
Are the inks lightfast
The only alcohol inks that are more lightfast than the others are Piñata inks and Copic refills. Once I seal all the inks in wax, I do find that there is less color that looses any brightness in all the inks. I do seal my pieces with a UV protective spray if I use any alcohol inks. Hope that helps!
What product do you use uv spray
derick elsner I use Krylon UV-Resistant Clear spray. I put on 3 light coats. It does change the texture of the wax, but it doesn’t bother me at all. Make sure you spray outside! Safety first!
Please like and leave a comment! This is my first video ever, so they can only get better!
