Connectors for the turn signals on the handle bars are prone to failure so remove them

Upgrade the original warning lights to LED's Using Led T10 501 W5W £2.50 for 4 W005 1.5A 50V Bridge rectifier 7gZ154 £1.49 for 6
Flux is your friend, even with rosin core solder.

Where do I get these led upgrades
Hi, I got mine off Ebay from memory but they are pretty common as used for car sidelights and interior lights
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I have fitted the LEDs to all of my lights except the blinker (indicator). I'm in Australia and I'm unable to source the bridge rectifier you have used here. I have found this unit: W04 1.5A 400V Bridge Rectifier. Do you think this will do the job? It's specs are: Diode Type - Bridge rectifier Peak Reverse Voltage - 400V Diode maximum current - 1500mA Diode maximum power - 600W It is physically packaged very similar to the one you used. Any advice appreciated!
Yep should be ok the current it can take 1.5a and the voltage it can run to both exceed what you will be using with the replacement led indicator warning light. The led will only be a few watts of power so the current will be low and the voltage 13 - 14 volts the battery floating off the alternator is ok.

That was very interesting ,,,I am thinking of a 2010 Triumph America as I am in my mid 60s so going down to something I can handle a bit easer ,,so I am grateful for all your tips ,,if I get one ,,I will definitely strip her down and check for crap in the tank .
Hi Chad thanx for the response, its a good bike you will enjoy one. The 2010 will be probably be a fuel injected version so I would expect the tank removal to be slightly different due to extra connections the filtering system may be better.
I had a very similar problem. mine is a 2006 carbureted. happened twice in one day. let it sit for a few minutes and got home. I think mine is coils or cdi
Hi had a similar issue with a moto guzzi I own although did get some misfires. It turned out to be coil which was the metal can type they have oil in them to keep the windings cool and over time it dries out and the coil breaks down. One of the things I noticed was the heat of the coil. The guzzi has 2 coils and the difference in temp was massive. I do have electronic ignition on the guzzi but have found with them they either work or are complete dud. Hope you find your problem regards MikeG
Nice upgrade and informative video. Why didn’t you replace the high beam bulb also?
Did think about this for continuity but I would only use main bream at night and you can see all the original lights then & I don't really ride at night so decided to exclude it.
