@@chrishubatsek5434 a lot of times that can be caused by a loose pin in the comma harness. About 3 months ago they redesigned the Ford Q4 harness because it was so fragile.

@ oh, yea it could be dead on arrival then. The easiest thing to do is order a second one and see if it fixes the problem. If it does, return the first one, if it doesn’t then return the second one and keep troubleshooting. To get the Comma to work you must install the radar module and wire it up. Once that is done, the Comma will work perfectly. @@adamrupert9238 Only if you add the ACC radar. Without that the Ford modules would reject any commands from the Comma3x. Last I checked the cost to add the ACC radar was about $500.

@@adamrupert9238 No sir. with ACC added you can use Bluepilot, digital dash is not needed. Lots of XL and XLT F150s with analog cluster using Comma3x.

If you are referring to the distance ACC follows the lead car, that is adjusted in OP using the "driving personality". For me maniac on Op and the closest bar on stock ford are both too far for Houston traffic.

It's better, but still not perfect. I did a pretty lengthy technical write up on the limitations of ADAS systems and approaching stopped/slow vehicles here: www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/openpilot-on-the-f-150-bluecruise-alternative.19342/page-28#post-407838 When in experimental mode the comma works pretty well because it can detect an "intersection" about 250m out. The downside is sometimes it will slam on the brakes at a crossroad it thinks is an intersection.

Sunny uses the same model, so no difference.

I think so, but I'm not positive. I know a 2021 does not work and 2023 does. If the 2022 got the new PSCM and IPMA, then it will work. You can tell by testing the lane assistance feature. If it constantly steers the vehicle to stay center in the lane, then Comma will work. If it only bumps the vehicle back towards center when you near the lane edge, it will not work with Comma.

Well, rolling back to an old version isn’t that easy, there is only one link and it always has the latest rev. The good news is that the old models are still there and can be loaded up from inside the newest version. That said I suspect you probably have a different issue as the latest model is performing really well on 2021 F150s. I would first check that your mount is still securely attached to your window and is not starting to be loose. A shaky mount results in really poor performance. If the mount is solid then try resetting calibration from inside the menu. If that doesn’t work let me know and we can try selecting a different model.

@@happy2gud in the menu go to software and then check your driving model. You can use the select button to choose and older model that correlates to a time you thought it drove better.

The Lightning has CAN Errors while starting up due to the length of the USB cable required because of the location of the Ford module not being by the mirror like all other makes. This harness fixes those CAN errors

@@BradleyNicholscrazymini print out of ASA or ABS and it will hold up. I remove anytime the truck is sitting more than an hour and the temp is over 85.

Unfortunately without ACC, the truck will reject the steering commands from the Comma (Ford designed it that way). If you are buying a new Comma, just add it to your basket, if you already have a comma, you can buy just a harness at www.comma.ai/shop/harness-connector. You want a Ford Q4 Connector for an F150.

@@waynefernandes9455 yes. The stock button on the steering wheel adjust between normal, aggressive, and maniac.

@@ajzride which button adjusts follow distance? That’s nice to know that acceleration profile can be adjusted with the hard button.

@@waynefernandes9455 The stock for "gap" button changes the personality. The personality changes acceleration and braking profile along with the follow distance. Relaxed personality has about a 4 second gap, aggressive has about 3.5, and maniac has about 3 seconds.

The F150 is not on the website as a supported vehicle, but it is considered "in development". 85% of features work, including being a full blue cruise replacement.

Yes, I did use it with a trailer the other day. Definitely turn off automatic lane changes while a trailer is hooked up though.

@@Ranger5250 Yes, Ford disables it so mine doesn't work with a trailer either. I've never seen it in the forscan spreadsheet, so if it's possible, no one has figured it out yet.

Yes, someone on our dev team has a lightening. It runs OpenPilot exactly like the ICE F150 does. Lightning currently gets some warning lights that are not affecting driving, we are working to resolve those with better cabling.

If by “second gen raptor” you mean a 2015-2020 raptor it will not work. The power steering module in those year fords will reject the messages you send.

Yes, it should work, other raptors are working. You need the “Ford Q4 Harness” and you want to install SunnyPilot/dev-c3.
