Today on April 8, 2024, the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U online servers permanently ceased operations, and no longer works. However, with the help of the homebrew community, and Pretendo, the online use of these systems can be revived with modding the console and using Pretendo to bring the life back to these consoles. Hey guys! I found this cool project that brings the Wii Shop Channel back to life. The project is called RiiShop, and it brings the Wii Shop Channel back to life. I managed to capture the final 5 minutes of the Nintendo eShop on both of my 2ds consoles before it shutdown. I captured the shutdown on camera too. It now marks the end of an era. History has been made folks. RIP Nintendo eShop (3DS and Wii U) 2011 - 2023 You will be missed.

Activating the first 2 options on Luma doesn't work for me. 1st option crashes my console
Make sure your 3ds console is updated to the latest version too if that helps.
@@NintendoGeek it is updated. Problem still persists
NNID will still be online it will just only affect Games, Apps (excluding Pokémon bank), but any service that used any service that used an NNID like system transfers, creating/linking one, deleting one, and downloading from the Eshop and etc will still function until further notice from Nintendo

@@mderooij7851 look up funkyscott47 he has a lot of home brew tutorials I recommend the new 3ds guide you can do the one that works for all 3ds models but the other one is more straightforward

Quick question, when you say you can’t make an account, does that mean you can’t log in to a new 3ds with an old account or you can’t log into any 3ds’s anymore
I believe you can still make a Nintendo Network ID account on a Wii U and log into it on a 3DS but the only thing you can do with it is connect it to a Nintendo Account.

Well, guess it's time to mod it😂 Might as well, people have long moved on from 3DS anyway hacking the thing should be somewhat straightforward, id recommend it too so you dont lose whatever online purchases you have made cause Nintendo doesn't care....
But I don't HAVE a HACKED model 3DS or have the KNOW HOW to DO so.
@@veghesther3204 I mean that's up to you, it isn't that hard, if you still don't want to that's fine....look up a video on how....
@@veghesther3204 which console do you have because you can hack any 3DS, 2DS, New 3DS and 2DS, even the DSi. You can check online on subreddits dedicated to modding your 3DS and there are guides you can find on google or here on youtube but I recommend following a written guide since those get updated regularly.

Yeah but they shut it down for a good reason, people were being doxxed using it probably explaining why it also wanted a discord username (besides from ban records) and the rest of the team involved had no idea about this

*DO NOT USE THIS APPLICATION.* Recently, one of the developers shared a tab in a Discord VC that contained Discord usernames, IP adresses, and console serials of every person that's ever used, or uses RiiShop. They've also stolen code from Open Shop Channel (a Wii Homebrew Directory)
