2023 Whispering Pines Fireworks on the Range - Part Two
Here is the rest of the show! We did have an ember drop on one of the fuses about half way through causing a pre-ignite of two platforms. Made for some pretty busy sky for about 10 minutes. All in all, looked great and turned out to be a great show.

After all the hard work of fusing the show and setting it up, now it's time to sit back and enjoy. This is part one as we get started. I wanted to get everyone's attention right at the start, so I put up 12 shells with tails and used a zipper cake (Golden Peacock) to get everyone excited! This video will show how I fuse two different racks. A 30 shot rack for during the show, and a 50 shot finale rack. I will use different fuses to create different effects as the artillery shells are igniting. Started with a bunch of fountains. Hard to see on the video as we had a lot going off at once. Then we started with some 200 gram cakes and some multishot roman candles.

    Add screws next to each tube onto the wood at the top. Then run a metal wire looped around all the screws. You'll be able to feed your fuse through all the metal wire and from there connect your shell fuses into the running fuse. No more taping or zip tying. Do the whole rack in a minute.

    how do u stop fuse jumping?

    • @creswoodcornersfireworks7903
      @creswoodcornersfireworks7903 Год назад

      I don't typically have a problem with that. I keep the fuses tight. Sometimes I'll tape the fuse down on the side of the row. Racks typically don't cross-fuse if you keep the fuse tight. If you decide to wrap it in tape, be careful as it can speed up the fuse. Always test out the situation before your show with a couple of shells and the process you decide to go with. That way you don't have any surprises during your show...

    I'm thinking maybe small zipties might work as well. Maybe a staplegun. Must be something quicker than tape.

    • @creswoodcornersfireworks7903
      @creswoodcornersfireworks7903 Год назад

      tape is by far the faster and more reliable option. I've done zip ties in the past and it takes at least 10 times longer. I don't stapling would work at all.

    I’m doing four or five milk racks But I only have basic green slow fuse What’s thoughts on normal fusing for three rows and then last two rows working off one leader fuse? Like a little finale. Safe ? Would be doing same lead in to fuse Thanks

    • @creswoodcornersfireworks7903
      @creswoodcornersfireworks7903 Год назад

      Just some friendly advice, there is nothing safe about using a milk crate for a rack. Do some quick youtube searches and you can see what happens if you have a blowout. That being said, in any rack, you can change up the fuse timing any time you want. But I would tie the the fuses together. I would not light a rack that was actively launching shells. In general, I don't like to approach any fireworks that have already been lit, including my racks. I play it extra safe. It isn't worth getting hurt.

  • @nicklabas2665

    How do you avoid the whole thing igniting with the sparks flying off the fuse ignition? I have tried this several ways now, and it all ends the same with everything igniting at some point, regardless how I connect everything.

    • @creswoodcornersfireworks7903
      @creswoodcornersfireworks7903 Год назад

      I think they are 12" or 14". Length doesn't make any difference for lift. So most places you buy the tubes online are already pre-cut to the 12" length for you.

    • @creswoodcornersfireworks7903
      @creswoodcornersfireworks7903 Год назад

      The only option you really have is to see what the effects for each cake are and don't put them back to back in your show. I like to alternate between 200 gram and 500 gram. Puts up the show in different heights and seldom do they end up having the exact same effect. Even if they do, the fact that they are at different heights differentiates them to the audience and makes a nice show for everyone.

    You can ignite the fuse cutting with a scissors

    • @creswoodcornersfireworks7903
      @creswoodcornersfireworks7903 Год назад

      Correct, you should never use a scissors. That's why I use an "anvil" cutter like shown in this video.

    That was a super cool show. I like the non-stop action. I've set mine up similar the past couple years. I get a lot of enjoyment out of placing the cakes and fusing them up. I thought the racks looked good too - fusing one into the board. I thought the cops were coming for you towards the beginning, but it looks like someone with a flashing baton running across the screen. Haha. Also, I use a cheap firing system to light the main leader fuse on each board, but I still like to hand light first one. Lol.

    • @creswoodcornersfireworks7903
