I'm addicted to Stalker Anomaly. I would suggest to try The Long Dark (sandbox mode, skip the story). I'm torn which is better at survival. TLD or Anomaly. I'm kinda leaning towards TLD being the best survival game ever made. Oh but how do I love stalker. Playing Misery Black Road was like a drug to me.

Anomaly and gamma are the only games that are capable of giving you genuine jump scares that will make you change pants(almost :P),it required focus,cant wait for stalker 2 to be moddes to gamma degree.

Gamma's absolute dog poo poo though, take two steps out of town and your hit by an anomaly, your gun breaks and your sleepy.

The excessive sway and jitter of the animations are too distracting for me

for me Anonaly is a sandbox warfare game that is heavily moddable. the lore and purist (borderline elitist) community stuff is not really my jam. i remove “core” concepts of the game because I can, the game makes it easy, and it makes the gameplay more fun for me. that’s why anomaly is awesome

Why does everyone always call stalker post apocalyptic?? Outside of the Zone, people are waking up and going to their 9-5 jobs. It is as far from apocalyptic as you can get

The Promise ending to the tune of Die Toteninsel Emptiness is still one of the most surreal haunting experiences I've had in gaming, it's definitively up there with the white phosphorus reveal scene in Spec Ops the Line and Maria's fate in Gears of War 2.

I have been playing stalker since i was 6 y o, and now, i enjoy anomaly, as a survival simulator. I have made it more surv-focused, by making an addon collection, redacted and balanced by myself. It is a true zone experience, as it is mentioned in stalker lore and novels.

I want the hardest experience of stalker 2.

I've had many VERY realistic dreams about nuclear war and what would happen during it. Some of my dreams could be turned into pretty entertaining stories, that's how in depth they were.

And most of hiroshima and Nagasaki’s infrastructure at the time was entirely wooden, so who’s to say the only 2 real nukes that have been witnessed by the public were just incinderary bombs and the idea of nuclear annihilation is just to fear monger ppl. Great video. But I disagree with u I think we’re closer to nuclear war than ever. Russia just officially backed out of the deal with the us to not test nukes. Even tho American technically never followed that rule. But there’s also a growing fear that Iran has intentions to use nuclear warfare. There was an oddly suspicious earthquake near one of irans testing sites, idk seems like something’s coming in my opinion with how many countries r so set on destroying each other (take note on china invading Taiwan recently around the same time Iran sends hundreds of ballistic rockets into one of Israel’s major cities). Scary times my friends scary times

5:58 What is nuclear war? If that's a war with the usage of atomic weapons then it means that WW2 was a nuclear war. In case my definition was right new nuclear war may start literally tomorrow. Right now in the world, there are two countries at war one of them owns the biggest nuclear weapons arsenal on the planet and the other doesn't have any, so the first one is not deterred from a nuclear point of view. Why they can't use one or a couple of small warheads(a couple of kilotons) for some tactical gains on the battlefield? Because others will start a war with them? Because others will start a nuclear war with them? What's the point of starting such a dangerous escalation because of the amount of explosives that exploded momentarily instead of a couple of weeks? I don't believe in a popular scenario with the launching of thousands of ICBMS and destroying entire cities and regions. I don't believe that such a scenario is the end of humanity. But some limited use - I think it's absolutely possible and no one will do much about it

To think of it, we're at a massively increased risk of it right now. You got artillery lining up on NK/SK border, Iran potentially having detonated it's first nuke, China swarming Taiwan, and Russia praying Israel goes nuclear on Iran to use it's own nukes. Crazy world and it only took 4 years for this to happen. We cite the cold war or as if this was some prior threat, it's right here and right now.

this game has a way to toil with your mind one of the few that like old games make you have to think and plan very well before even attempting anything. I played the original 3 games and loved them but when I grab Anomaly it was like playing for the first time though with a little bit of now how from the others yet it didn't prepare me for how uncanny and brutal the experience would be. I remember to start om Cordon as always all easy and straight forward as it is the "beginners" area, yet when I reached the farm and night fall upon me... that darkness and the sounds of all this unspoken horrors out there made me shiver and not want to wander out there with just pitiful flashlight that would certainly be insuficient to see shit. It took me days of careful playthrough and weeks of game time to get the lowest tier NVGs I could find to be able to move at night and even more to actually have a decent NVGs to actually be effective in the darkness. Most of the time until you become a real veteran in the game you have to avoid most confrontations relying in stealth and observation, watching the npcs going around and fighting each other to scavenge the bodies of the fallen in the hopes to just acquire something a little bit better than the crap you have equipped. Or having to be extremely careful on the contracts you get bc you don't want to deal with things like having to hunt a nocturnal predator before you get those NVGs or have the equipment to deal with said situation, believe me you don't want to do that or worst having to decline the contract after taking it so your reputation get damaged as you are an unreliable stalker. And the it is the geography of the Zone itself. I member from the original games that as you traverse The Zone towards the Chernobyl Nuclear plant and the Heart of the Zone things get serious but now with the whole map of the Zone available... man did shit gets serious. There are areas that even being right now the number 3 rank in the whole Zone I still avoid out of fear and discomfort. The Red Forest, The Radar area or the mysterious "Generators"... places that are extremely dangerous during daylight but that you certainly don't want to be at night. Every time I have to plan a journey towards the center of the zone beyond the Red Forest or Radar becomes an expedition where everything has to be planned, the distance to travel, the moment of the day, the time it will get, the resources I bring with me from the main stash in Rostock to the depots in Skadovsk or Jupiter. Anomaly is alive way more than any other game and everyone should do good into respecting The Zone or you will be lost to it.
