    6:24 : I think its a self perservation mechanism, the brain tell people to just accept it because its the norm. Everyone else does it why should i be different. I think it all goes back to how we teach kids in school that eduaction and career is the most important they should focus on, when building healthy realationships with eachother is what is really important. We're all stuck climbing on eachother like crabs in a bucket, sadly.

    Hey Ame. A lot of people can relate to your situation, including me (in the past). You mentioned that you're a video editor and enjoy making these videos-that’s a powerful combination. Millions of people have built great careers online with that exact skill set over the last 15+ years, so it’s absolutely a viable path. You also said that you have trouble sticking with things, and I completely understand. Having multiple interests isn’t a bad thing-in fact, it’s a sign of curiosity, which is a strength. However, if you focus on just one skill, like video editing and publishing videos (which you’re already doing!), but keep the topics open, you’ll never get bored. This will allow you to explore different interests, and eventually, you may find a niche that truly excites you-whether it's cooking, gardening, traveling, or something else. Before you know it, you could have 100k subscribers and a solid income as a RUclipsr. You’re already on a great path-just keep making videos and never stop believing in yourself. If you stay committed, success will come. It doesn’t hurt that you’re a good-looking guy, and your English is actually really good-better than most Italians I’ve heard. And it will only improve as you keep making videos. Plus, the Italian accent is a bonus. I subscribed, and I hope to keep seeing your videos in my feed.

    I feel like the same problems that are being faced there are the same I am having here in Toronto. Wages are low, prices are high. I am 30 and I dont think I can afford a home. Living expenses are extremely high. I feel like I'd rather have these struggles with good food and beautiful weather and scenery instead of this cold, sad weather we have in Toronto. I also see it as a chance to preserve the culture and have a sense of community as people are very distant here. My family is from Calabria and I want to make it home again and a better place by working hard. I would rather put the effort of working hard into Italy and enjoy the beautiful essence of the south than a place I feel strongly against daily. Does this make sense or do I sound delusional? I would like to hear your perspective

    • @AmesRawLife
      @AmesRawLife 9 дней назад

      Calabria is a very nice place! Keep in mind that usually it's harder to find a good job with a good salary in the south, the north is better. Anyway it's not impossible, you can always find something. Just follow you heart, if you feel it so strong just try! Maybe start with a little trip and go there to see what's the situation, speak with local people. Everyone is very open and friendly in the south!

    I'm 24, working a 9 to 5 in the software industry, and it's killing me. There is absolutely no way I'm going to work a 9 to 5 for the rest of my life, and I need to figure out something that will set me up for the rest of life really soon. I think i might have adhd because everything I do at work feels like an absolute chore and is painfully boring. My mind shoots off into space, and I have no interest in what I am doing. I want to do something with investing that will allow me to work at my own accord.

Very stressful with no knowledge. You basically have no time for anything. I have no idea how poeple manage to work years these types of jobs.

    When you work in order to supply for your family and their happiness you give a little less shit about whether your job is flexible or not. I never think the time is the issue (like 9 - 5). Farmers work 14 hours per day and love their work. Maybe focus on getting a real profession and get fulfilled from working with something with your hands that you see real direct results with.

    Hey man thanks for making me feel less alone by sharing your mindset, it's very similar to mine. If you've got a uni degree you might be able to find a TEFL job in China. Avoid private schools and try and get a job at a university. They are normally about 18 hours a week of teaching hours (but you'll do a similar amount in lesson prep at least for the first year or two) and provide accommodation. I had a bunch of fun making lessons because you can just do it on your own time and it was super fun because I could for the most part teach about fun things, have debates in class, play games that build English skills etc.

    Am I the only one who loves 9-5? Past 3 years I've been working 70h a week, grinding in fuck of a shitty job. 4 months ago I changed jobs. Full remote, great pay and benefits. I just couldn't be fucking happier 😁 I have lots of time for myself, finally good sleep and what's the best: at 5 pm I can forget about my job.

    This entire 9-5 working idea was created in America (of course) in last 100 years, the land of capitalism and profit making for the rich, in order to maximize their own profits, and indoctrinate the slaves into believing this is the only way - over there they even trick them into believing that only 2 weeks off on holidays a year is normal

    Greetings here from the UK. I am in a similar situation. I love music, music production, and playing guitar but I have ADHD so I struggle to stay focused for long periods of time. I can sit for hours playing video games but I really struggle to focus when something is less stimulating to my brain. And don't even get me started on working 9-5! My one wish would be to be to stick with something, like music, and be able to master it without getting distracted. I don't want to be rich or to be "successful" by society's standards. I just want to be able to get to a point where I have enough knowledge and experience to say I've truly accomplished something. But due to my condition this is very difficult ☹

    Una faccia una razza here and same age as you man. as you know in Greece things always were bad with the economy. I started out stu died law . i didn't like it at all. still searching for my purpose. of course theres always the "safe" net to go back and work as a lawyer and all but i cant imagine doing that for the rest of my life. as a cancer survivor I have strongly the mentality of "it wont matter." Don't die with regrets thats all I know. Fail and fail and keep failing till you find your purpose. If you cannot find anything you like, consider volunteering but we always need money, right? So maybe a seasonal job could help you financially and then you can take time off to try new things once you are more economically stable. at least a lot of people my age do something like that here, but not all can do that. they mostly leave for tourism jobs and then winter they return till they go again next year. of course bad hours and hard work.

    9 to 5? cushy office job? Try 6-14, 14-22, 22-6 warehouse/factory job 9 to 5 office or mental job is easy af, though i never worked such but i have engineering degree im in the same boat as you, went to work in november first time in 2 years, 32 years old, didnt had endurance, i worked like 10 jobs in my life, all of them warehouse/factory You just have to build endurance, go to confession and stay in sanctifying grace and pray rosary for endurance 5 days per week is soul crushing but you CAN build endurance for it otherwise, your option is to have flexible job like glovo/uber and trying to be as off grid in some farmland as possible while building online stuff to earn money passively or invest in stocks for me its gamedev + stocks paying dividends there is no other way otherwise - ask yourself what you want to do that you enjoy, that gives you money, and try to go that route
