Prague's African Market Doesn't Make Sense And Yet ...
Portugal has a horrible history, as does the USA. I remember reading about liapold in school .
Then why do they have tour
Added this to my bucket list
Naky, Excellent tour guide. I was in Lisbon in early May 2024. The tour is awesome.
Not just Africans.... Isrealites!
Just went to Yosemite National Park this weekend. Only saw 3 black people besides me.
At least you four were there to represent us lol
👀❤️❤️❤️❤️👍❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤❤
Was in Memphis last May went to all the places in this video. What a great city for history ,food, and music.
They??? Who???
Very interesting. Coragem e abraços de Paris
Who burnt that chicken at four way
You know you wrong! Lol
Mentally, perennially and emotionally keeping the slave trade alive.
They? Who the F. is this ignorant refering to? There's no "they" or "us" in Portugal. We're all Portuguese and just Portuguese. Keep your ignorant racist views out of our Country! ❤🇲🇿🇦🇴🇬🇼🇸🇹🇨🇻🇵🇹🇧🇷
How do we make contact with him??
We Portuguese don't care about color. Africans from our old colonies are our brothers. Everyone is wercome here, if you come in peace.
That is a lie! Please tell me why I personally know Africans and mixed Africans & Afro-Caribbean, Afro-Brazilian, that have received racism from Portuguese? In Canada and in London,UK Portuguese are very racist to black people.
I’m tired of Africans trying to degrade and slander Portuguese culture and history.
Many enslaved African people were the Black Spanish and Portuguese Jews who had already Fled from Portugal and Spain away from persecution. European enslavers were ordered to go and "retrieve" the Jews (the true Jews) that fled and bring them back to Spain and Portugal, to strip them of any Jewish and other traditional practices, as remember practicing Judaism had already been criminalised which is why they had to flee in the first place. The original Black Spanish and Portuguese Jews were hunted down and found in Africa and here we have the beginnings of the Trans Atlantic Slave "Trade".
Cristovo Colonbo ..was a student in Sagres .. that name Sagres is the most west place in Europe-- what do you rl know about it ? and say anything about it ? plz tell about History between 10 AD- and 2023 !!
go back in history and tell me who found the way to the TRADE on the see.
hmm contradictions is simple about slavery.. the tribes sail there won kids to get profit of it. If you know that . then you don't even know , that the most power was Hiberia or in otherwords Spain and Portugal .. all of you USA , and what ever are not the Rl, as you call your self's AMERICANS. Americans rl does not exist. all of you are from Europe..
I wish I had known before I visited the city. I'll definitely do the tour next time I'm there
🇨🇩🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🇨🇬
Who cares she looks like a dude
Rossio is not the Largo de São Domingos, actually, albeit very close it, it's official name is Praça Dom Pedro IV.
Wait until people realize that those "African slaves" were actually from those Portuguese Jews (that were documented as being BLACK) that King John II deported to various West African countries in the 14th century...🤣🤣🤣 All the nations that participated in scattering Judah got horrible karma coming their way according to Bible prophecy...smh
No and Yahia ben Rabbi won't work 😢
@@tagbarzeev8283 No to what? Actual documented history? The Critical Review, Or, Annals of Literature, Volume 57, page 141 (Published in 1783): "King John II. In 1492, EXPELLED ALL THE JEWS to the island of ST. THOMAS, which had been discovered in 1471, AND OTHER PORTUGUESE SETTLEMENTS ON THE CONTINENT OF AFRICA; and from these banished Jews, The BLACK PORTUGUESE, AS THEY ARE CALLED, and the Jews in Loango, who are despised even by the very Negroes, are descended." Sources of history in the Pentateuch, Pg.118, (1882) by Bartlett, Samuel Colcord, 1817-1898: “Thus the BLACK color is found not only in individuals, as the black Jews of Portugal, but in tribes, as the Bicharis on the Red Sea, whose hair and character are perfectly Semitic;” 🤣🤣🤣 These books are hosted by Google btw...have at it! 😆The truth is out...

Forgot one person my wife is Sephardic not black.
@tagbarzeev8283 Yep, lets toss plainly recorded history stating that the Jews of Portugal were black people...🤣🤣🤣 But things get deeper, and we can go all the way back to the 1ST CENTURY, Tacitus recorded the fact that the Romans THOUGHT the Jews in the 1st century were a race of Ethiopian origin. Israelites and Ethiopians are separate people from 2 different lineages, so it makes you wonder 🤔. But using deductive reasoning and proof in the Bible (Zephaniah 3:10 and, cases of the Israelites being constantly mistaken for ANCIENT Egyptians), the Talmud (Sanhedrin 94a documented the 10 tribes being exiled to Africa), historical documents and depictions (Lachish reliefs). I think it would be safe to say the Ancient Israelites were a NEGRO PEOPLE. So, bringing up DNA that doesn't use Ancient Israelite DNA as a baseline is BS, and shouldn't be brought into conversations in establishing Israelite Identity. Did you also know that the Jews that were allowed to stay in Portugal mixed themselves out of existence after being forced to convert to Catholicism? 🤣🤣🤣 The amount of evidence I discovered on this subject is damning...
Talk about the Moors .
Yes Granada Spain a Very historical places…..more information is coming out Archaeological digs collected over time related to the Spanish Inquisition
Ironic how before that portugal was an African colony for almost a whole millennium
That makes me think if we should ask for finantial historical repairs...
Wow. Man. How much it cost?? I want to go!!
Underrated
Long live Portugal
Rossio, a black neighborhood? Insanity! Lisbon, an African City? Wishful thinking. Virtue Signaling SELLS. I don't buy into this False Narrative, but it's a black Whine...why isn't that these Africans who wanted the Portuguese in their so-called Nations, why? Well just look how Sub-Saharan Africa is Managed toda...disastrous, crime, rape and, Yes, Slavery. Don't come to Europe ...why don't you explain those facial Scares? Hood!
You can feel the spirit of our ancestors when you step on the grounds of Congo square. I’m honored that I have the opportunity to pray and worship whenever I want at the same place my ancestors stood. 🙏🏽
Yo he estado alli.
Very interesting initiative but... a few imprecisions in your clip:The first still is from Porto, not from Lisbon. Rossio Square is Praça D. Pedro IV, not Largo de S. Domingos (a small square adjacent to Rossio). The church is the church of S. Domingos and not the church do Largo de S. Domingos. Then you show the interior of the Jeronimos Monastery's Church. I really don't think that the Cape Verdean community hangs around Rossio. For more information go Cabo Verde cultural center in Rua de S. Bento. Some imprecisions about the theme: Slave trade from Africa into Europe started long ago before the Portuguese, even Atlantic, since there were Moroccan trade through atlantic routes into Europe (remember that the Iberian Peninsula was under Moorish rule from the 700s until late 1200s (Portugal) and 1400s(Spain). As for the Atlantic slave trade, the one that everyone knows about, it was made between Africa and the Americas. Europe didn't had a direct slavery based economy as it was in the Americas. Of course that there was slave trade into Europe, but not in the industrialized terrific way the trans-Atlantic was. The most exacerbated slave trade had to do with sugar (remember this when eating your favorite sugar based food). Europe benefited from slavery economically because of colonial power, not from the slaves as a work force in Europe. From late 1700s and early 1800s the American countries became independent and they were the ones benefiting from the trade and exploitation. Portugal abolished slavery in 1760s only in its European territories but the existing slaves at the time were not freed. Imports were prohibited and newborns were free. In the colonies, slavery continued until mid 1800s. The Dutch painting shown in the beginning of the clip is a testimony of the rich, diverse city that Lisbon was in the mid 1500s. The tour probably shows how different was slavery in a rich European city from the terrible forced labour of on the sugar plantations in the colonies. But... slavery was slavery, no doubt, anywhere. Maybe that is why Fado is called the Portuguese Blues and Samba, if played very slowly, sounds like Fado.
Thank you for sharing this!
Wrong caption: most portuguese don't give a shit if you take the tour or not...
In the old painting shown at 1:03 you will see a black race knight from a monastic order, riding his horse through medieval Lisbon. There were black slaves but black nobelman too. A lot of african kingdoms were allies of Portugal. Portugal's History is very unique and not well known...
Perhaps he was an African slave seller. There were many.
The painting is called "O chafariz d'el Rei".
The portuguese Where One of the worst when it comes afro-european relations.
There were no black knights or nobleman in Portugal
@@uptown_rider8078prove it bum! ☝🏾🤷🏾♂️

Peace to all the scattered tribes yhwh is lord. Our enemy made the same mistake we made. So things soon flip. I had a dream from yah I saw my fathers before America singing in Portuguese. I've been shown many things in the spirit.
