This was my first time going out to Morelands MX and I would have to say I had a ball! Morelands MX is a very easy course for both beginners and vet riders. I had a lot of fun practicing and racing in the evening. I would definitely like to try to head back out to Morelands MX to see if I can improve my skills further in a race. Practicing your skills to be an all-around better rider is what it...

If this was your first race you did good , a lot of cherry pickers in your class they should move up to B class there trophy collectors it’s a shame, when I was a kid racing out west we got points and had to move up, I’m not sure how it is here now
what are the graphics? 🤔
Custom graphics from MOTO FX.
Wow how things change ! I raced at Morelands MX in 1974 thru 1978, 15 to 19 years of age, was then considered Stanton, what a track it was. Mark Moreland the son my age was racing at the time and hopefully took the event over as his parents aged. Sadly none of your video do I recognize any of the hilly track it was then. Do they have more than one track on the large property ? 💪👍🇺🇸
dont be afraid to hit those jumps. they are smaller then you think. Really good for your first time!
Looking good man. Im so ready to try racing. Looking forward to when I can participate in my first Moto
Maybe I’m blind but I was wondering where is ur clutch and front brake. I couldn’t see it
Camera angles make it deceiving. They are there. Both shorty leavers from ASV.
Bro do t be scare of the double step down! Second time around you almost had! Rock it bro! ❤
Thanks bro! Old video, way better now 😎👍🏼
need sum more uploads 🤘
Is this District 14?
Nope, Moreland's is its own track. They are not district or AMA.
10:11 i can feel that man happens to us all
Totally burnt out dude
Whats burnt out?
Pro tapper? Lol it’s protaper
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Sorry. Forgive me.
Nice bikes. I’ve gotta say I’ve never seen or heard of anyone running an FMF pipe and PC silencer, or the other way around. What made you choose that over a full system from either manufacturer? What powerband choice was given to the 295 EG top end? Thanks bro
Some bikes end up with a better power curve mixing it up. You can try on the track but usually guys will do this on the dyno first.
1:53 my man smoked crack before the race
Your head stays really stable for your first moto
Camera settings, a good gopro mount and a nice fitting helmet 👍🏼
Pretty fast c class ..good ride ..you must be in the young guy class?..what is that your riding?
250 C Class was this race. I don't remember an age limit but most of the guys were my age. Im mid 20s. My bike at the time was a 2005 Rm250 with a BB 300 kit. It was an awesome bike.
@@gritz731 ya I bet it was awesome ..
damn bro! those guys were monsters and you still held up with them
Thanks 😂👍🏼
Beautiful machines brother
On a 2 stroke bro you need to stay in the power band letting on and off the throttle is slowing you down big time
Yeah, I've leaved a lot since this race. This is old now. 😂
@@gritz731 if your ever in east texas area lmk we an go rip at my local track
Keep those elbows up, your head over the bars and stand up.
Thanks homie! You should check out my new videos. A lot faster now.
@@gritz731 Awsome dog! Long live the CR500!
RIP 2:50 orange jersey 🦂 🦂🦂🦂
Your a good rider you just don’t entirely know the track yet. Once you can memorize the jumps you will rip and you already are great race
Thanks man! A lot has changed in a years time. Hope to post more updated videos here shortly! Been super busy!
bikes look awesome man. love the blue and yellow
Thanks Bro!
nice quality
Hey I love this video also what bike do you think I should get if I’m an 11 year old and a beginner?
Thank you! And it's all personal preference for your bike of choice. Depending on your height and skill, I would start with an 85cc 2 stroke.. from there, go to a 125cc 2 stroke. Hope this helps!
Nice of you to give everyone a head start. Lol Good ride
Thats the only way to get through the first turn in the beginner class! You can go from last to 15th in 1 turn. lol
Lot of sandbaggers entering this class...
Nice ride for the first race!
Thanks man! I appreciate it! Check out my other videos on my channel as well. I do a bunch more Hare scrambles
Ho ho ho...I love to see motorcyclists falling.
Thank you Santa 🎅 😂
Nice riding, and yes there was chaos on the hill. I was part of it. Really fun race though. Definitely loved riding the hilly section.
Thanks man! I was honestly surprised I didn't see the chaos but im glad I missed it. Im ready to head back for the sprint enduro but for now I'm ready for Sundays race at Evergreen. 🤙
Its about time. We are waiting. What editing software are using?
Sorry for the wait. 😅 I am using Shotcut for editing. Its not too bad but I know I could do better with another software.
17th out of 25 dudes, first race. I take a bow, great job!
Thanks man! You should check out the Harescramble Races on my channel. Im a lot quicker in the woods. 😅🤙
And would you know what they did to the power valve as far as how they modified it
Not bad for your first race. You stayed off the ground and your cornering was good. Jumping just takes technique and practice. Once you get your jumping technique improved you will be in the intermediate class before you know it. GREAT JOB.
Thanks man! Check out some of my newer race videos as well on my channel. I'm making improvements little by little. 😎👍
What size piston
295cc piston if I remember right. Look up Eric Gorr big bore kits. That's who makes them. Bike had plenty of power. They did a good job. 👍
@@gritz731 I have I bought a 2000 with the 295 kit and I didn’t see anything about the piston size but I probably read right over it lol
@@EVILPIMP765 do you have access to a machine mic? I think that's what it is called. Used to measure outer diameter to the thousands of an inch. Probably the best route to go to make sure you got the right piston. I can check in with LaBaron's tomorrow to see what they ordered me when I bought a new Wisco piston for the top end rebuild.
@@gritz731 yeah I but the rebuild only has like 3hrs on it and I don’t wanna pull the cylinder just yet lol just wanna get one ahead of time so I can fix it when it needs to be
Very good commentary. Subscribed to you and looking forward to how the season plays out with your new bike (I'm looking into getting a TE300i). I'm looking at branching out from Illinois and trying a few sprint enduros in Michigan this year, so maybe see you out on the track!
Thanks man! I was honestly tied between the Te300i and the Te150i. I found this 2020 on a good deal and I liked the weight of a smaller bike anyways so it was a win/win. I will be posting sprint enduro stuff throughout the season as well. Hope to see you out at the races!
How noticeable is the weight difference of the 150i vs the RM? Looking at making the same bike swap but I'm considering the tc125 with the overbore cylinder for the weight savings.
Honestly it feels about the same. The TE150i to the RM125 feels the same even after racing it for 2 hours straight. If you go with the tc125 and do the BB, you might as well just get the TE150i and call it a day. Its kinda the same bike really when it comes down to it.
@@gritz731 Im probably over thinking it. I like the simplicity of the carbed and premix tc with no oil pump or tpi to fail. With a 20lb weight difference wasn't sure how substantial that would feel riding
@@andyXhorror yea, its really not that much different. Ill tell you what though... my RM250 with the BB felt heavier for sure. Not much more weight but when you ride that around for 2 hours you can feel it wear you down. That RM250 was too overpowered, it was built for the tracks for sure.
That was me on the 94 kawi at 18:52 I a impressed with bottom end torque of your bike. Great video
Thank you! I still had a few kinks to work out but it should be smooth for Dutch Sport Park this weekend! Love the old Kawi! Let that bike sing! 👊😎✊
@@gritz731 see you at dutch
I’m 17 about to turn 18 trying to get into racing with a 250 will they let race in the 250 class or do I need a 450 ?
250cc stays in the 250cc class. 450cc stays in the 450cc class. Unless you are riding in an Open A, B, or C class I believe you can race any bike you want.
10:12 I've done this so many times 😂... crazy how you caught up though
I got a mint 03 RM125 with the Polisport restyle kit. I recommend using ethanol free super from yer local co-op feed store. It way better than pump gas on the ol top end. I mix 50/50 with VP 110 race gas and Bel Ray pre mix oil
I mix pump gas and 110 50/50 it works good
"That's pretty fucking slick!" - gritz💀🤣
See you at Portland! We're camping, because why not... So if you're camping, I'll see you Saturday.
See ya there! Ill be camping Saturday as well. Just got the camper and bike ready to go yesterday. 😎👍
Hell yeah congrats on the upgrade dude. The husky 150 is a nice bike 👍👌. What class u running this season for the d14? Can't wait for the upcoming weekend!
Thanks homie! I will be running Open B for both the Sprint Enduro Series and the Hare Scramble Series. I can't wait for the weekend either! Its gonna be a good time!
I'm new to this but I'm hoping to get good enough whats the difference in c class and the rest
The classes go by skill set. "A", "B", "C" and sometimes "D". "A" class is for the advanced riders and "C" class is more for beginners. Next comes the size of the bike. So 125, 250, 450, etc. This system is mostly used in Moto. Some other events like Enduro just go by skill set and age range. I hope this info helps. 😎👍
Other tracks will say Beginner, intermediate, expert and pro. The pros race for money while the rest race for trophies.
wow thats good for a first race!
Thank you! 😎👍
the guy on the lefts bike cold or something lmao 2:00
He is just pumped for his C Class money moto lol
Sweet bikes I love my RM250 and 125 as well I’ll never sell them
hi I'm 17 and I'm trying to get into motocross how or is to late
Good question! I didnt race a motorcycle until I was 20 so it's never too late to get into the sport. Just have fun with it! If you already have a bike, visit your local track and get some info as to how to attend races. You may need an AMA membership and/or a district membership card. You can get all that info from your local track.
Its never to late. Best piece of advice i could give is spend the money on lessons from a local coach. Motocross is a very precise and demanding sport and its not to be taken lightly since the consequences are so high. Also you will progress so much faster and safer with coaching. For your first race class selection is a big deal so pick a race that has a no jump, beginner, or D class. Most importantly have fun!
Never too late, I starting to get into racing last year at 15y.o and best thing I’ve done. This year I’ve got a sponsor and just met so many good people
You can try. Truth is you better be ready to dish out a grand a week racing tracks in your State and a couple others. Your gonna need a new rear tire every week to stay competitive. You are going to need to practice at the local track 3 times a week just to get in and stay in shape enough to finish a race without collapsing. You will want to have at least, 2 pairs of goggles and you will probably loose both at your first mud race. But its so fucking worth it if you can pull it off! Im 51, raced as a kid, now I ride my CR500 on my own private GPMX track. Dreams can come true!
Bro you C riders are a different bread haha
Tell me about it... didn't know i signed up for the money moto. 🤣 Ill stick to dodging trees, im way quicker.
