Like it or not plenty of call of duty titles have done the same thing. They even released footage of them doing it for WWII. I know, that’s hard for people to hear because it leaves them with less to complain about but unfortunately it’s true.

From “we went to the middle of a military exercise and that experience was quite powerful” to “I want to re-write history and wipe out the memory of people who actually fought and gave their lives in a war just so that my child daughter can feel empowered”. I mean.. what the hell were they thinking?

The Finals and Arc Raiders both have the top notch design BF is known for. Looks like the sound designers from the BF franchise moved on to Embark Studios as well.

sound design bf 4 is what compensates for the shortcomings of 3d graphics

Too bad the gameplay is riddles with cheaters and junk that make it feel like a arcade game.

i have played recently battlefield 1 with some very good headphones i acquired recently, it sounds so good, just as good as bf4 and better because of how the soldiers vocal design were made. Pretty amazing stuff, and just shows how far the new battlefield twenty forty shit is from the true DNA of battlefield.

Battlefield 1 hands down has the BEST sound design in a game that I've ever heard. From the ambience to the gunfire, the voice acting, the random things happening in the background and especially the explosions . It's perfection.

BF6 will the defining moment for the entire BF franchise. BF2042 already failed to surpass BF3/BF4 and BF1 during launch till their EOS. If they truly meant what they said about "going back to their roots" meaning the peak of BF during the BF3/BF4 era by going back to a full modern setting, then we can only hope at this point in time until they revealed the next BF game and how will it perform during CBT, launch, and its first couple years.

Bf4 helicopter sound when they are changing direction I think is massively overlooked

idk eft has better sounds imo, too my ears eft sounds more real, example the sks sounds exactly how it sounds irl in because i have experience with that rifle, i would even argue that squad has better sounds than bf, but obviously bf has the best vehicle sounds, next to maybe war thunder or squad

I've been playing battlefield series since bad company 2. And i would i say BF3, and BF1 are the best in the franchise. Soldiers swearing, all the explosion effects, radio chatters heck even clothes makes sound in BF3, BF1 voice actors made it most immersive. Soldiers screaming, breathing heavy when near grenades, complimenting each other when you snipe someone, chanting in round start etc!

Gas turbine engine from M1 Abrams and the Diesel engine from T-90 in Battlefield 3 👍

It saddens me immensely that we may never see a Battlefield game achieve perfection ever again.

Games in the present day are objectively SHIT. Bf3 era was absolutely elite

tbf i prefer the sound in bc2, it felt more immersive for some reason. The default war noises in the background felt much more embracing and present than in the following games.

I always loved BF but started playing Insurgency and I have to say , Incoming gunfire sound in that is way more realistic, I have received incoming gunfire a couple of times IRL

Bad company 2 I could tell exactly where someone was running up to me like I was there. All these other games I really can't. Bc2 was also my favorite

for the first Gran Turismo on playstation 1 the devs went out to audio record every featured car irl on a racing track from multiple angles you don't get passionate devs like this anymore potentially because publishers set fckd up release dates without even asking the devs what the game currently looks like back then: game is a finished, polished product games now: 90% in alpha or beta, 99% with bugs and glitches within the first hour of gameplay

BF3 is the best multiplayer shooter period

Perfect example how insanely talented and enthusiastic DICE used to be with Battlefield. Glad to have been there to experience it, gonna miss it lots.
