Great romhack. Loved the creativity in Crystal's and Gold's team. A little disappointed in Green though. They could have at least given her a Lapras or something.

Wallace is pretty easy *if* you know what's coming. I'm pretty sure none of us were expecting a water-based champion the first time around. On my first playthrough he ran train.

Cynthia is one tough cookie. Still possible to beat without grinding, items, etc. but you need some higher-tier mons like Gyarados and Steelix. Without resorting to pseudos or legendaries, I needed to work pretty hard for a good battle item or two (I opted for a focus sash). As always, mad respect to the extremely talented pixel artists over at Moemon for designing 4 gens worth of custom Moemon...

Huge respect to the artists at Moemon for individually designing over 4 gens of custom sprites. Heart Gold is not a good game. Defeating Red with underleveled and low-tier mons is possible, but inconsistent. All it takes is a stray miss or critical to throw you off. And you spend so much time farming for TMs that it's hardly worth it. Still, I'm just here to prove that it's possible to beat Red...

No legendaries or pseudos, no items, no hacking, etc. I was surprised to see the other Red battles on YT basically all utilized overleveled mons and even items. But the truth is you can beat Red with minimal strategy and no grinding.
